AllDomains
AllDomains is a decentralized domain name service built on Solana that lets users register, own, and trade Web3 identities as NFTs — and earn yield from doing so. The protocol distinguishes itself from single-TLD naming services with three interlocking features: an open platform for any project to launch a custom top-level domain (TLD), a revenue-sharing model that directs 50% of all protocol fees back to domain holders and $ADNS token stakers, and a hybrid architecture that brings traditional Web2 domain extensions onto the blockchain without breaking existing web infrastructure.
Domain-as-Identity
Every domain registered on AllDomains is minted as a Solana NFT, granting holders verifiable on-chain ownership with no central registry intermediary. A registered domain functions as a universal Web3 handle: it can replace a wallet address for payments, serve as a login credential for decentralized applications, and anchor a user's identity across multiple blockchains. Domains are tradable on Solana's NFT marketplaces, giving them liquid secondary-market value independent of any single application. This positions AllDomains as an identity layer rather than just a naming system — a persistent, composable representation of a user's on-chain presence.
Yield-Bearing Protocol
The protocol's defining feature is its revenue-sharing model. AllDomains directs 50% of all protocol revenues — generated from domain registrations, renewals, and fees across every TLD it hosts — back into the $ADNS token ecosystem. This creates a compounding effect: as new TLD pools launch and new products add revenue streams, each addition amplifies the allocation available to token holders. Premium TLDs such as .solana are structured as yield-bearing instruments that share their revenue slice directly with the community, making ownership of certain domain names analogous to holding a productive on-chain asset rather than a static username.
Custom TLD Platform
AllDomains functions as a TLD infrastructure layer, not a single-domain service. Any project, community, or brand can deploy its own .[anything] top-level domain via the platform's TLD launch tool, with full control over pricing, minting policies, and revenue configuration. This openness has attracted more than 100 ecosystem partners — wallets, block explorers, DeFi protocols, and DAOs — that embed AllDomains infrastructure into their own products. By 2025, the platform had surpassed 1.5 million total domain registrations across live networks, with an additional 940,000 registrations on Monad's testnet.
Hybrid Web2/Web3 Domains
A technical innovation that sets AllDomains apart is its hybrid domain architecture, which allows traditional Web2 extensions to exist on-chain while preserving their existing DNS functionality. In 2024, the platform launched .id on Solana as its first Web2/Web3 hybrid TLD — enabling holders to bring their .id domains on-chain without disrupting websites, email, or hosting configurations. In January 2026, AllDomains extended this model to .com, the internet's largest namespace with over 160 million existing domains and approximately $2 billion in annual trading volume. Existing .com owners can bring their registrations on-chain to gain Solana-native ownership, instant peer-to-peer transfers, and access to on-chain marketplaces, while their web presence and DNS functionality remains intact. Tom Osborne, Head of Marketing at AllDomains, described the launch as introducing ".com into our existing hybrid infrastructure, which has already been adopted by the Solana community."
Multi-Chain Reach
Solana is the primary network, but AllDomains has extended its registration and identity infrastructure to Eclipse, Sonic, SOON SVM, and Monad (on testnet). A cross-chain bridge at bridge.alldomains.id handles domain movement across these ecosystems. The protocol's longer-term roadmap frames this multi-chain presence as the foundation for a unified identity layer — a single domain that resolves across whichever chains a user operates on, without requiring separate registrations per network.
$ADNS Token
The $ADNS token launched via a Token Generation Event in Q3 2025, with a total supply of 5 billion tokens. It serves multiple functions within the protocol: paying fees for custom TLD creation, receiving discounts on domain registrations, participating in governance votes, and earning staking rewards funded by the revenue-sharing mechanism. As protocol revenue grows with each additional TLD, supported chain, and new product, the 50% pass-through to $ADNS holders creates a direct economic linkage between platform usage and token value.
Privacy and Advanced Identity
The protocol's roadmap introduced privacy-first domains using zero-knowledge technology, enabling anonymous registrations and reputation layers without exposing underlying wallet identities. Planned subsequent phases include encrypted messaging between domain holders and an Open Graph Protocol for portable cross-chain identity profiles, extending AllDomains' role from a naming registry into a broader identity and communication layer.
Governance and Decentralization
DAO governance via $ADNS token holders is rolling out through 2026, giving the community control over new TLD creation, reward parameter configuration, and ecosystem development direction. AllDomains is also progressively open-sourcing its core infrastructure — resolution protocols, TLD management tooling, and SDKs — as part of its decentralization roadmap. The combination of open-source infrastructure and community governance is designed to transition the protocol from a company-operated service toward a collectively managed public good for Solana's identity layer.
