Serenity Shield

Serenity — founded in 2023 and previously known as Serenity Shield — is a digital security platform that combines decentralized encrypted storage with a biometric hardware wallet to address two persistent problems in crypto: permanent loss of asset access through forgotten seed phrases or death, and the vulnerability of software-based authentication.

The Problem Serenity Solves

An estimated $140 billion in Bitcoin alone sits permanently inaccessible because owners lost their private keys or seed phrases. Inheritance presents a second dimension: most holders have no mechanism to pass crypto assets to beneficiaries without exposing credentials in an insecure way. Serenity targets both gaps with a suite of products designed around self-custody, encryption, and configurable access delegation.

sBox: Decentralized Encrypted Storage and Inheritance

The platform's core product, originally called StrongBox and now marketed as sBox, is a decentralized application that allows users to store seed phrases, private keys, passwords, and sensitive documents in an encrypted environment. The technical architecture uses Shamir's Secret Sharing (SSS) combined with NFT-based access keys.

When a user sets up sBox, the platform generates three NFT keys:

  • One held by the owner
  • One distributed to a designated heir or trusted contact
  • One escrowed by the platform's smart contract

Decrypting the stored data requires any two of the three keys — a 2-of-3 threshold scheme that prevents single points of failure. Encryption is performed entirely client-side, so plaintext credentials are never transmitted to the network.

The inheritance layer relies on configurable Activation Policies. Users set a monitoring window — for example, 90 days — during which the smart contract watches for on-chain activity, DApp authentication, and response to notification requests. If a user remains inactive past the threshold without responding, the system treats this as a trigger event and initiates the access delegation protocol to the designated heir.

The sBox smart contracts run on Secret Network, a privacy-preserving blockchain whose encrypted contract execution ensures that stored data remains opaque even to network validators. Smart contracts have been audited by Hacken.

sAxess: Biometric Hardware Wallet

Launched in February 2025 at an event in Dubai, sAxess is Serenity's biometric hardware wallet in card form factor. The product was developed in partnership with IDEMIA Secure Transactions, a global payment and identity solutions company serving approximately 1,900 financial institutions.

The card uses fingerprint recognition as its sole authentication mechanism, eliminating seed phrases, PINs, and passwords from the access flow. Users must scan their fingerprint to initiate any wallet transaction or stored-data retrieval. The company describes it as the world's first biometric-only blockchain card.

Key specifications:

  • Supports storage, sending, and receiving of assets across 100+ blockchains
  • Integrates with sBox for seed phrase backup and recovery
  • Physical card format with iOS and Android companion app
  • Available ex-stock at $89.90, with a one-year warranty
  • The sAxess app became available on the App Store on March 24, 2025

An enterprise variant, sAxess-Pro, was planned for Q2 2025. The IDEMIA partnership brings B.CHAIN hardware wallet technology into the card alongside patent-pending NFT-based data recovery credentials. Serenity's target verticals extend beyond retail crypto: the company has cited banking, healthcare, and insurance as enterprise use cases for the sBox and sAxess combination.

Token: SERSH

SERSH is Serenity's native utility token with a maximum supply capped at 100 million tokens. The token was originally deployed as an SPL token on the Solana network, reflecting the project's early multi-chain architecture. It subsequently migrated to BNB Chain, where it operates as a BEP-20 token.

Token utility functions include payment for sBox storage services and subscriptions, service activation within the ecosystem, staking for passive rewards, and exclusive B2B payment settlement. The tokenomics model is deflationary: a portion of enterprise sBox recovery fees is used to buy back and lock SERSH tokens.

Serenity's token faced a significant setback in 2024 when a liquidity wallet was compromised, resulting in approximately $5.6 million in losses. The team fully reimbursed affected holders and suspended trading on centralized exchanges as a precautionary measure. As of mid-2026, SERSH trades at a fraction of a cent with a market capitalization under $10,000 — a decline of approximately 99.99% from its December 2023 all-time high of $1.26. Trading remains suspended on most centralized exchanges listed on CoinGecko.

Development Milestones and Recognition

Serenity won the Burj CEO Award for Best Technology Company in 2023 and Start-Up Company of the Year in 2024. The sAxess launch event in Dubai drew representatives from Crypto.com, Huawei, and HSBC. The company secured advertising placements in the Greek Basketball League and volleyball leagues as part of its brand awareness effort.

The 2025 roadmap included expanding sBox to enterprise clients (sBox-Pro), opening a Point of Presence in Amsterdam, launching a Node Array System for decentralized storage infrastructure, and initiating a data center project. Plans for quantum-resistant technology integration and AI capabilities were cited for Q4 2025.

Current Status

As of August 2026, Serenity's social channels remain active with regular posts promoting sAxess. The project operates under the s.technology domain. The SERSH token's near-zero market capitalization and suspended exchange trading reflect the lasting damage from the 2024 liquidity incident. The core products — sBox for decentralized encrypted inheritance storage and sAxess for biometric hardware access — remain the company's active commercial focus, with the business model shifting increasingly toward enterprise and hardware revenue rather than token economics.
