Crossmint Wallets
Crossmint Wallets provide programmable wallet infrastructure for users, companies, and AI agents. The system supports multiple custody models, client and server-side wallet generation, and chain-agnostic operations across multiple blockchain networks.
Crossmint Checkout
Checkout enables users to purchase digital assets using credit cards, debit cards, and cross-chain payments. The system supports multiple payment methods including Apple Pay and Google Pay while creating wallets automatically for users who don't have them.
GOAT (Great Onchain Agent Toolkit)
An open-source framework for connecting AI agents to blockchain applications.
Crossmint Tokenization (Minting)
Tokenization enables the creation and management of digital assets through APIs and no-code tools. The system supports NFTs, fungible tokens, verifiable credentials, and IP assets with features for minting, distribution, updating, and burning tokens at scale.
Crossmint
Crossmint is an enterprise developer platform that gives businesses a single API for blockchain-based financial infrastructure: programmable wallets, stablecoin payments, fiat onramps and offramps, token minting, and AI agent payments. Where the previous generation of blockchain tooling required companies to stitch together five or more specialized vendors — a wallet provider, a KYC service, a custody solution, a payment processor, and a compliance layer — Crossmint consolidates all of these into one integration measured in days, not months.
Founded in November 2021 by Spanish engineers Rodri Fernández Touza and Alfonso Gómez-Jordana Mañas, the company has grown to serve more than 40,000 enterprises and developers, including MoneyGram, Western Union, Robinhood, Wirex, Phantom, Red Bull, Adidas, and Coinbase. Subscription revenue grew 1,100% between January and December 2024.
Core Products
Embedded Wallets let companies add branded, white-label wallets directly into web or mobile applications without exposing users to seed phrases or gas mechanics. The same infrastructure supports treasury wallets for corporate asset management — enabling programmable controls over how funds move and who can authorize transactions.
Stablecoin Orchestration is the payments backbone: it routes stablecoins across 160+ countries in real time, replacing the slow, opaque correspondent-banking model that still underlies most cross-border payments. Crossmint handles the routing complexity, counterparty risk, and settlement mechanics while billing in fiat so that companies are insulated from crypto volatility.
Onramps and Offramps sit at either end of that pipeline. Users fund wallets with cards, bank transfers, or local payment methods (onramps), and companies or end users convert stablecoins back into local fiat through banking integrations (offramps). Crossmint has licensed operations across all 50 US states including New York — a threshold that disqualifies many competitors from serving American enterprise clients — and received MiCA authorization across all 27 EU member states, making it one of the first stablecoin infrastructure providers with full-stack regulatory coverage in Europe.
Token Checkout enables one-click purchases of digital assets using credit cards, debit cards, and Apple Pay. The product powered fomo, a crypto trading application, to $4 billion in transaction volume and brought 68,000 first-time crypto buyers on-chain — a customer acquisition metric that illustrates Crossmint's positioning: reducing friction for end users, not just developers.
Agentic Payments is the newest product line, built for AI agents that need to hold and spend money autonomously. The Agentic Cards API, developed in partnership with Visa and Basis Theory, gives AI agents virtual payment cards so they can pay for services — compute, APIs, subscriptions — without human intervention on each transaction. Crossmint also provides embedded wallets for agents so they can hold stablecoins, receive payouts, and execute on-chain operations.
Tokenization covers the full lifecycle of digital asset issuance: minting tokens at scale, distributing them to wallets, attaching metadata, and issuing verifiable credentials that can represent credentials, compliance attestations, or real-world assets in machine-verifiable form.
Across all products, Crossmint handles gas sponsorship — paying blockchain transaction fees and billing customers in fiat — and offers a SOC2 Type II, GDPR-compliant platform with a four-nines (99.99%) SLA.
Solana Integration
Crossmint supports more than 50 chains, including EVM networks and Stellar, but Solana occupies a central role in its infrastructure. The platform chose Solana for its sub-second settlement finality and near-zero transaction fees — both critical properties for payment use cases where users expect bank-speed confirmation and where high-volume transaction costs would erode margin.
In March 2026, Crossmint joined the Solana Developer Platform alongside early enterprise users Mastercard, Worldpay, and Western Union, providing wallet, stablecoin, ramp, and payment infrastructure for enterprises building on the network. The integration also makes use of Solana Token Extensions, which allow token-level compliance controls to be embedded directly into the asset — enabling regulated institutions to apply transfer restrictions, KYC requirements, and audit trails without relying on a separate smart-contract layer.
Western Union is integrating Crossmint's infrastructure across its 360,000+ cash collection points globally and is using the USDPT stablecoin on Solana for settlement. Wirex, serving 7 million customers across 130 countries with over $20 billion in transaction volume, also runs on Crossmint's stack. Tala, a fintech focused on underserved markets, has used the infrastructure to disburse $8.5 billion in credit to 14 million customers.
These deployments illustrate why Solana's throughput and fee profile matter at enterprise scale: MoneyGram, Western Union, and Wirex operate at volumes where per-transaction costs compound quickly, and where settlement speed directly determines product quality for end users waiting on remittances or payouts.
Funding and Team
Crossmint raised $23.6 million in March 2025 in a round led by Ribbit Capital, the fintech-focused venture firm behind Credit Karma, Robinhood, and Coinbase. Participating investors include Franklin Templeton, Nyca Partners, First Round Capital, and Lightspeed Faction.
Founders Touza and Gómez-Jordana Mañas met through the Spanish engineering community. Touza, who had been pursuing postgraduate work at Stanford and Harvard, took a months-long break to live in a Buddhist monastery in upstate New York before leaving to build Crossmint — drawn to blockchain as a technology that could reshape how value moves globally. The company now employs approximately 83 people.
Crossmint positions itself against other enterprise blockchain infrastructure vendors — Alchemy, Privy, MoonPay, and BVNK — but emphasizes a different customer profile: large financial institutions that need regulatory coverage, compliance tooling, and SLA guarantees alongside developer APIs. The company describes this as serving institutions "at the higher end of the market" where uptime, liability, and regulatory standing matter as much as API documentation.
Ecosystem Position
Crossmint sits at the intersection of two growth areas on Solana: enterprise stablecoin payments and AI agent infrastructure. Its platform is designed to compress the time and complexity for any company that wants blockchain capabilities in their product — whether a neobank adding stablecoin payouts, a fintech building cross-border remittances, or an AI startup building agents that need to transact autonomously.
The 2024 subscription growth rate — 1,100% year-over-year — reflects both the early-market timing of the stablecoin infrastructure opportunity and Crossmint's ability to land enterprise relationships at the MoneyGram and Western Union tier. The Ribbit Capital backing adds fintech credibility that is relevant when selling into compliance-sensitive institutions that scrutinize their infrastructure partners' investor base alongside their technical architecture.
