Pine Analytics

Analytics for the Crypto Economy

About

Pine Analytics

Pine Analytics is a crypto-native analytics firm that converts raw on-chain data into structured intelligence for protocol teams, investors, and institutional stakeholders. Founded in September 2022, the project operates under the tagline "Analytics for the Crypto Economy" and positions itself as a full-stack provider of dashboards, automated alerts, and research — delivered as a managed service rather than a self-serve tool.

Core Mechanism

Pine's service model is built around three integrated offerings that address the full analytics lifecycle for a crypto team.

White-Glove On-Chain Dashboards. Rather than giving clients a query interface and walking away, Pine designs, builds, and maintains custom dashboards tailored to each protocol's specific metrics. Stakeholders get live, polished views of the data that matters without needing developer involvement or SQL expertise. The process follows a four-stage engagement: initial goal-mapping consultation, dashboard deployment, alert configuration, and ongoing weekly research memos with iterative refinement based on client feedback.

On-Chain Alerting and Automated Reporting. Pine monitors live on-chain activity against client-defined thresholds and delivers real-time alerts via Slack, email, or Notion. Alongside live alerts, scheduled digest reports land in the same channels, keeping entire teams aligned on protocol health without anyone having to pull data manually.

Institutional-Grade Research. The third pillar is deep-dive analysis and market studies grounded in raw on-chain data. These reports support strategic decisions and provide credible evidence for conversations with investors, partners, and boards. Pine publishes a portion of this research publicly through its Substack and X presence, covering topics including Solana validator economics, DePIN network performance, tokenized equities, security incidents, and competitive analysis of launchpads.

Data Coverage and Technical Approach

Pine's platform aggregates on-chain activity across major Layer 1 blockchains and niche Layer 2 solutions. A distinguishing technical feature is hand-curated metadata — labels that categorize on-chain actors as deployers, insiders, bots, or genuine users — which strips noise from raw transaction data and surfaces signals that automated pipelines miss. This metadata layer, combined with real-time processing speed and enterprise-grade scalability, is central to how Pine differentiates from self-serve analytics platforms.

Solana Ecosystem Presence

Pine Analytics has a pronounced focus on the Solana ecosystem, both in its client roster and its published research. Named clients include several of Solana's most prominent protocols: Hivemapper (decentralized mapping), Helius (RPC and API infrastructure), Tensor (NFT and trading platform), Jupiter (the leading Solana DEX aggregator and perpetuals exchange), as well as Sky and Plasma. This roster spans DePIN, developer tooling, NFTs, and DeFi — reflecting Pine's coverage of the Solana stack rather than any single vertical.

Pine's public research output is heavily Solana-centric. Notable reports include "The State of DePIN on Solana," which mapped 30 active decentralized physical infrastructure networks across compute, wireless, IoT, mapping, and energy verticals, documenting a six-fold increase in active DePIN networks since mid-2023. Other published work covers Jito's role in Solana's MEV landscape, the history of Solana security incidents, address poisoning and account dusting attacks, Solana validator and fee economics, and competitive analysis of token launchpads. A June 2026 report on tokenized equities found Solana commanding approximately 97% of tokenized-equity spot trading volume, with roughly $869M traded in May 2026 across the ecosystem.

Team

Pine Analytics was co-founded by Jack (known on X as @jackthepine), a Web3 data analyst. The project does not publicly list a full team roster; research and client deliverables are published under the Pine Analytics brand.

Tokens and Audits

Pine Analytics does not issue a native token. The project is a professional services and analytics platform; its revenue model is service-based. No audit reports are publicly listed, which is consistent with Pine's positioning as an analytics provider rather than a smart-contract protocol.

Ecosystem Fit

Pine sits at the intersection of two gaps in the Solana ecosystem: the data infrastructure layer that protocols need to monitor their own health, and the research layer that institutional participants use to evaluate on-chain activity. By combining both into a managed service, Pine targets teams that want the output of an analytics function without the overhead of building one internally.

Its client list — spanning Helius (infrastructure), Jupiter (DeFi), Tensor (NFTs/trading), and Hivemapper (DePIN) — covers the full breadth of Solana's sector diversity, positioning Pine as a horizontal analytics layer rather than a vertical specialist. This breadth also gives Pine's research an ecosystem-wide vantage point that sector-specific tools cannot match. The platform maintains a Discord community and publishes regular research on Substack and X, serving as both a product showcase and a public-good contribution to Solana's information ecosystem.
