Allium

Allium is a blockchain data platform that delivers normalized data from multiple blockchains through Explorer for no-code querying and visualization, Datashares for warehouse delivery to Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery, real-time Developer APIs with sub-second latency, Datastreams for event-driven pipelines via Kafka and Pub/Sub, and Allium AI for SQL assistance and MCP agent integration.

Allium

Allium is an enterprise blockchain data platform that transforms raw, fragmented onchain data into clean, standardized, production-grade information for analytics teams, application developers, and financial institutions. Founded in late 2021 and headquartered in New York, the company's core thesis is that public blockchains are transparent databases but not legible ones — and that most organizations are building the same costly data infrastructure from scratch rather than focusing on the analysis and products that actually create value.

The Problem

Raw blockchain data is noisy, inconsistent, and operationally expensive to handle at scale. RPC connections drop, chain reorganizations corrupt histories, schemas differ across networks, and the signal-to-noise ratio is poor. Allium's own research found that less than 20% of global stablecoin transfers represent genuine economic activity — the rest is bot traffic, protocol mechanics, and routing artifacts. Community-built alternatives to dedicated data infrastructure have been found to carry data deviations of 7% or more, which is unacceptable for institutional research, compliance, or financial accounting. Allium addresses this by indexing blockchains at source, cleaning the data, decoding protocol interactions, and delivering it through standardized schemas with independently verified accuracy of 0.000011% deviation.

Core Products

Allium ships six main products, each targeting a different workflow:

Allium App is a no-code interface for querying and visualizing blockchain data. Analysts and researchers use it for ad-hoc investigation and dashboarding without writing infrastructure code.

Datashares delivers blockchain data directly to enterprise data warehouses and lakes — Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, and S3 — on a batch schedule, enabling teams to join onchain data against existing internal datasets.

Realtime APIs are REST endpoints returning query results in 50–100 milliseconds, suited for applications that need low-latency onchain lookups such as wallet balance checks, token transfer histories, or transaction status.

Datastreams provides event-driven data delivery via Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, Amazon SNS, or websockets. Teams building transaction monitoring, fraud detection, or real-time alert systems use this to consume blockchain events as they happen.

Beam is a custom-filtered realtime pipeline that can be deployed in under 30 seconds, allowing engineering teams to specify exactly which events or addresses they care about rather than receiving a full data firehose.

Allium AI offers SQL query assistance and integrates with AI agent frameworks via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling LLM-driven applications to query onchain data programmatically.

Scale and Security

Allium manages more than 4 petabytes of data across 150+ blockchains and 10,000+ decoded protocols. The platform carries SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 certification, which is a prerequisite for institutional clients in regulated industries. The company offers a 99.9% uptime SLA.

Solana Coverage

Solana is a first-class supported chain on Allium, with data indexed from the genesis block. Allium decodes and serves the following Solana data categories:

  • Transactions and instructions: Full transaction history with inner instruction traces
  • Token balances: SPL token and native SOL balances, including SPL Token-2022 (Token Extensions) assets
  • DEX trades: Coverage of Raydium, Orca, Meteora, and Jupiter aggregator trades
  • NFT activity: Mints and secondary sales indexed across Magic Eden and Tensor
  • Staking: Validator delegation histories, staking rewards, and validator performance data
  • Lending and liquidity: Events and positions from protocols including Kamino
  • Accounting schemas: Double-entry credit/debit formatted data enabling position reconstruction at any historical timestamp

Thirty or more Solana protocols are indexed. Additional programs can be decoded on request. Phantom wallet — with more than 15 million users — uses Allium APIs to power onchain data features, with peak usage of over 8,000 requests per minute. The Solana Foundation uses Allium for ecosystem analytics. Ondo Finance, which manages more than $2 billion in tokenized assets spread across eight chains including Solana, relies on Allium as its primary blockchain data provider.

Who Uses It

Allium's customer base spans investment management, payments infrastructure, and consumer applications. Named institutional clients include Coinbase, Visa, a16z, Grayscale, BCG, and the U.S. Federal Reserve, which has cited Allium data in published research. On the application side, Phantom and MetaMask both use Allium APIs in production. Bitwise has publicly identified Allium as its primary data source for staking research. Uniswap uses the platform for cross-chain analytics.

The company positions its offering across three internal workflows: analytics and reporting (research teams, asset managers, consultancies), engineering (wallets, DeFi applications, payment processors needing reliable low-latency data), and accounting (stablecoin issuers, custodians, and audit firms needing reconstruction-grade historical records).

Team and Funding

Allium was co-founded by Ethan Chan (CEO) and Cheng Han Lee (CTO). Chan previously worked at Primer and studied at Stanford; Lee worked at Meta and Poynt, where both built large-scale data infrastructure. They identified that the same class of problem — unreliable, expensive-to-maintain data pipelines — was appearing across every team building in onchain finance.

The company has grown to more than 50 employees, with additional leadership drawn from Elliptic, QuickNode, and Stripe.

In June 2026, Allium raised a $40 million Series B led by Amplify Partners, with participation from Kleiner Perkins and Theory Ventures. The round followed two years in which the company's revenue grew more than tenfold. The company has declined to disclose its post-money valuation.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Blockchain data quality is a persistent bottleneck for institutional adoption of Solana. High-frequency protocol activity — particularly across DEX aggregators like Jupiter, staking infrastructure, and the rapid growth of SPL Token-2022 instruments — produces data volumes and encoding complexity that most analytics tooling handles poorly. Allium's from-genesis coverage, sub-100ms API latency, and decoded protocol schemas make it a practical infrastructure layer for teams building financial-grade products on Solana, whether that is DeFi research, NFT market analytics, validator performance monitoring, or cross-chain accounting for tokenized real-world assets.
