About

FOMO

FOMO was a Solana-focused physical and digital magazine that positioned itself as the ecosystem's premier publication for crypto and NFT culture. Operating under the tagline "The #1 physical and digital magazine on Solana," the project launched in early 2023 with the stated mission of bridging the knowledge gap for people navigating the Solana ecosystem — covering NFT projects, meme tokens, DeFi protocols, and the individuals building on the network.

What It Was

FOMO presented itself as a multimedia platform rather than a pure editorial outlet. Alongside printed and digital magazine editions, the project produced videos, podcasts, and hosted regular Twitter Spaces events under the "FOMO Friday Spaces" banner. The content mix targeted both newcomers seeking orientation in the Solana ecosystem and existing participants wanting community-driven coverage of projects, launches, and personalities.

The publication described its remit as covering "NFT projects, meme-tokens, and the humanity behind the blockchain" — an editorial stance that combined market-facing alpha with long-form profiles and interviews.

Team and Founding

FOMO was co-founded by three individuals. George, listed as Co-Founder and CEO, was also noted as holding a council position at DeGods and described as a military veteran. A second co-founder referred to as Slice is credited as the originating founder of the magazine's concept. The publication grew within the SuperteamUK community, where early mentorship and connections helped the team establish credibility and event access in the Solana ecosystem.

Editions and Distribution

FOMO published at least four editions of its magazine. The fourth edition was produced in collaboration with Flight3, following George's introduction to Flight3 CEO Harry Horsfall at a London mixer. The team distributed physical copies at crypto meetups, brunches, and conferences, with a documented presence at events spanning Berlin, Bengaluru, and Singapore (Solana's Apex conference). FOMO also became an official media partner for Zebu Live, described as London's major Web3 event.

The publication's reach at the time of its peak activity included approximately 10,000 followers on Instagram. Sponsorship and partnership acknowledgements on its materials listed Backpack, the Solana Foundation, MEW, and EnsoFi as supporters.

Funding

FOMO received a Superteam UK instagrant, which the team directed toward a submission to the Hyperdrive hackathon. The publication's growth was driven largely by community embeddedness and event partnerships rather than formal venture funding.

Content Focus

FOMO's editorial focus centered on Solana-native culture: NFT project launches and community dynamics, meme token market activity, ecosystem builder narratives, and interview-driven profiles of founders and contributors. The "FOMO Friday Spaces" format brought live audio programming to complement the printed editions, featuring guests from across Solana's NFT and gaming communities.

Current Status

FOMO is no longer active as a Solana publication. The primary domain, fomo.media, is currently listed for sale on Spaceship.com and does not serve any content. A secondary domain, fomomagazine.io, returns an NXDOMAIN error. The original Twitter account, @magFOMO, has gone dormant with no recent activity. A related account, @fomo_magazine, which covered Solana events including Apex Singapore as recently as late 2025, has since pivoted to broader creator economy content unrelated to the Solana ecosystem. No formal shutdown announcement has been identified in indexed sources.
