Solana Apps Hit $7.935M Daily Revenue on September 12, Topping Four Chains Combined
Solana apps generated $7.935M in daily app revenue on September 12 per DeFiLlama, the highest single-day total of 2026, more than four major chains combined.
Solana SOL$99.72-0.2% apps generated $7.935M in protocol revenue on September 12, the highest single-day total recorded on the chain in 2026, per DeFiLlama data first reported by Blockworks. The daily figure exceeded the combined 24-hour app revenue of Ethereum, Robinhood Chain, Hyperliquid L1, and BNB Smart Chain on the same date.
The record extended the monthly trajectory Solana had established through August, when its apps posted $143.23M across the full month, the chain's highest single-month protocol revenue total at that point and 38% of the global all-chain figure at the time.
What DeFiLlama Counts as App Revenue
The $7.935M figure tracks the share of fees retained by protocols themselves, not what flows to validators or Jito tip recipients. On Solana, these are separate pools. A user swapping on a decentralized exchange pays a fee split between the exchange (app revenue) and the network's priority fee and MEV tip systems (chain revenue). On September 13, DeFiLlama showed Solana at $835K in 24-hour chain fees and $6.93M in app revenue. The two figures move independently.
The distinction matters: $7.935M reflects genuine economic activity captured by the Solana app layer, separate from chain-level infrastructure fees. App revenue does not accrue directly to SOL holders or stakers, and DeFiLlama tracks it separately from chain-level fees for precisely this reason.
What Drove the September 12 Total
Solana's app revenue has broadened steadily across 2026 as trading infrastructure, wallets, and launchpads each added consistent fee generation. FOMO (FOMO), the social trading platform that posted a $2.64M weekly revenue all-time high in early August, contributes steady daily income. Axiom (Axiom), Phantom CASH$1.0000.0% (Phantom), Jupiter JUP$0.230-3.3% (JUP), and Raydium RAY$1.45-2.5% each generated tens of millions in revenue through August.
September added a new contributor. StonkFun, a launchpad launched in late July 2026 that pairs new token bonding curves with tokenized equities rather than SOL or USDC, posted the highest daily revenue among tracked Solana protocols on September 6, briefly outpacing incumbents. Its fee generation continued into the second week of September as traders active in tokenized stock markets routed volume through its bonding curve model. The platform's rapid accumulation of protocol revenue through the first two weeks of the month appears to have been a material factor in the September 12 spike, though DeFiLlama does not publish per-app daily breakdowns in real time.
The swap activity behind those protocol fees ran at consistently high levels in the week before September 12. Solana's on-chain DEX swap volume averaged $7.1B per day from September 5 through 11, per Solana Compass, peaking at $7.74B on September 9.
Solana on-chain DEX swap volume averaged $7.1B per day in the seven sessions before the September 12 app revenue record, per Solana Compass. Swap volume measures gross trading activity on the chain; app revenue is the share protocols retain from it.

DeFiLlama's chain dashboard as of September 13 shows the current 24-hour app revenue distribution: Solana $6.93M, Robinhood Chain $2.81M, Ethereum $1.77M, Hyperliquid L1 $1.27M, BNB Smart Chain $1.02M, Base $750K. On September 12, when Solana hit $7.935M, DeFiLlama data cited in reporting that day confirmed the figure exceeded those four chains' combined total.
Robinhood Chain's $2.81M in 24-hour app revenue gives the comparison real weight. The chain, an Ethereum L2 built around tokenized equities that Solana also overtook in daily DEX volume on September 12, has generated genuine protocol-level fee income since its July 2026 launch, meaning the "combined four" benchmark does not lean on weaker competition.
Ethereum's $1.77M reflects L2 fragmentation: the bulk of Ethereum app revenue flows through Arbitrum, Base, and Optimism, each tracked separately in DeFiLlama's chain breakdown. Base itself ($750K on September 13) accounts for a fraction of Solana's figure despite comparable TVL.
Solana's September Revenue vs. the $143M August Run Rate
Solana's August monthly app revenue of $143.23M averaged approximately $4.62M per day. The September 12 figure of $7.935M sits roughly 72% above that daily average. As of September 13, DeFiLlama showed the 24-hour rate at $6.93M, still above August's daily run rate, suggesting the September 12 spike was not an entirely isolated one-day event.
Whether September sustains or exceeds August's monthly total depends on how consistently the conditions driving the spike persist. StonkFun launched during August, meaning its full contribution to daily protocol revenue began showing in September's figures. If FOMO, Axiom, Phantom, and RAY-paired liquidity on Raydium maintain activity at current levels alongside StonkFun's ongoing fee generation, the month is on pace to exceed August. The September 12 print appears to have drawn from multiple revenue streams rather than a single protocol, which is the structural change that characterizes how Solana's app-layer earnings have developed through 2026.
