Solana Logs Record 3.18B Completed Transactions in September 2026, Capping a Record Q3
Solana completed a record 3.18 billion non-vote transactions in September 2026, its third straight monthly high, lifting Q3 to 8.78 billion, per Compass data.
Solana SOL$116.87-1.6% completed 3.18 billion non-vote transactions in September 2026, its third monthly record in a row, according to Solana Compass network data for September. That is 8.3% more than August's 2.93 billion. The month closed out a record third quarter: our count for July through September is 8.78 billion completed non-vote transactions, 23.3% above the 7.13 billion of Q2 2026.
Blockworks analyst Sam Schubert reached the same conclusion with his own data, putting September at roughly 3.2 billion successful non-vote transactions, up 7.5% on August, and Q3 at 8.92 billion.
Solana completed transactions by month, May to September 2026
A completed transaction, in our data, is one that executed and kept its result. Validator votes, which Solana uses to reach consensus on each block, are excluded, so the count reflects activity by users, apps and bots rather than the network's own housekeeping.
On that measure Solana has grown every month since May. Solana Compass counts 2.33 billion completed non-vote transactions in May, 2.56 billion in June, 2.68 billion in July, 2.93 billion in August and 3.18 billion in September, per our monthly network view for May to September. July, August and September each set a new high in data that begins in December 2025.
Completed non-vote transactions rose every month from 2.33B in May to a record 3.18B in September, while reverted transactions fell from 2.19B in August to 1.52B, per Solana Compass.
View on Solana Compass →Completed vs reverted: why September beats August on one count and not the other
The record depends on which transactions you count, and that is the reason this figure sits below the one we reported a month ago. Our August record report put Solana at 5.2 billion non-vote transactions, a total that included reverted ones. A reverted transaction is executed by the network and then rolls back, usually by design: a swap whose price moves beyond the trader's slippage limit cancels itself rather than filling at a worse price.
On that broader count, September came in lower. Solana Compass data shows 4.70 billion total non-vote transactions in September against 5.12 billion in August, a drop of 8.2%. The difference is almost entirely reverts, which fell 30% from 2.19 billion to 1.52 billion, about 670 million fewer. Completed transactions rose by 243 million over the same period, so the share of non-vote transactions that completed climbed from 57.3% in August to 67.6% in September.
Revert rates track trading conditions more than network health: every reverted transaction was still processed, and many are slippage guards and similar trading tools working as intended. What the September shift shows is a larger share of Solana's traffic ending in a settled result. Completed transactions are the stricter test of how much work the network does for its users, and that is the series in which September set its record. The record covered in our July transaction report also used the broader count.
Blockworks' Sam Schubert counts 3.2B for September and 8.92B for Q3
Sam Schubert's figures line up with Solana Compass on direction and closely on size. His Q3 total of 8.92 billion is 1.6% above our 8.78 billion, a gap of about 140 million transactions across three months between two independently indexed datasets. The definitions match: both counts exclude validator votes and transactions that did not complete.
The quarterly comparison differs more. Schubert describes Q3 as 18% above the prior quarterly high in his series. Our 23.3% compares Q3 with Q2 2026, because Solana Compass data starts in December 2025 and Q2 is the highest full quarter we hold before Q3. The two percentages measure against different baselines; both put Q3 2026 at a record.
Solana DEX volume in September 2026: $78B on DefiLlama, $184B on-chain
Trading on Solana's decentralized exchanges (DEXs) shows a wider gap between sources, and the reason is method. DeFiLlama recorded about $78 billion of Solana DEX volume in September, summing the daily figures on its Solana DEX dashboard. DefiLlama totals the volume reported by the DEX integrations it lists.
Solana Compass counts every spot swap its indexer sees, across 95 programs and more than 1.6 million markets, and puts September spot DEX volume at $184.1 billion over 1.17 billion trades, with 27.1% of it routed through aggregators. That raw count includes circular and bot-driven trading. Bitquery classified $117.7 billion, or 58%, of Solana DEX volume between 24 August and 22 September as circular or bot-like, a study we covered on 25 September, which shows how much of an unfiltered total that flow can account for. The two volume figures answer different questions: what the listed DEXs report, and everything that swapped on-chain.
Tokenized stock holders on Solana pass 1.2 million
Tokenized equities, shares of listed companies issued as tokens that trade around the clock, added to September's activity. Data from Token Terminal, shared by the Tokens on Solana account on 1 October, shows more than 1.2 million wallets holding tokenized stocks on Solana, a new high. The holder count set several highs through September, including the record we reported on 20 September and another a few days later, with counts varying by data provider.
SolanaFloor reported on 1 October, citing Blockworks figures, that Solana carries more than 32% of daily tokenized equity trading volume across chains, ahead of BNB Chain at 27% and Robinhood Chain at 25%. The same SolanaFloor report says xStocks AAPLx$328.60-3.0% has issued 74% of Solana's tokenized equities.
What Solana's Q3 2026 transaction record shows
Three consecutive monthly records on the stricter completed basis, matched by an independent Blockworks tally, put Q3 2026 at the top of both datasets. The September detail adds something the headline number does not: Solana carried 243 million more transactions that settled while processing about 670 million fewer that rolled back.
