Solana processed 171.9 million non-vote transactions on August 10, 2026, its highest single-day total, according to CryptoBriefing. That translates to roughly 1,990 transactions per second sustained across the full 24-hour window. The week ending August 10 also crossed 1 billion non-vote transactions, the first time Solana has hit that weekly threshold.

The previous record was 169.9 million, set on August 4, per the same report. Two all-time highs inside six days.

Why Non-Vote Transactions Are the Right Measure

Solana's raw block count includes validator consensus messages, vote transactions that run continuously to maintain network agreement. Removing those leaves non-vote transactions: the actual program calls, token transfers, DeFi interactions, and user activity that reflect genuine demand on the network.

A rising non-vote count means more applications and users. A rising raw count could mean more validators. The distinction matters when comparing performance over time, which is why on-chain analysts default to the non-vote figure for network health assessments.

The Block Compute Limit Increase Behind the Numbers

The 171.9 million figure arrived after a 66% increase in the maximum compute limit per block, per CryptoBriefing. Each transaction on Solana draws from a budget of compute units (CUs), the protocol's measure of how much processing a given operation costs. Raising the per-block ceiling lets validators include more transactions in each slot without shortening block times or adding validators.

That is the mechanism behind August 10: more headroom per block, and enough demand to fill it. The upgrade is part of the same track as the Agave 4.2 feature activations targeting mainnet from August 17, a broader performance push that includes 300ms slot time targets on testnet.

Solana daily non-vote transactions, Jul 27โ€“Aug 10, 2026

Non-vote transaction volume climbed from around 150M daily in late July, peaked on August 4, then reached 165.7M on August 10 per Solana Compass analytics, a clear two-week upward shift as the compute limit increase took hold.

A Billion Non-Vote Transactions in One Week

The weekly total crossing 1 billion marks a change in scale as much as a record. January 30, 2026 held the previous daily record at 148 million, per CryptoBriefing; August 10 puts the network 16% above that baseline six months later. Back-to-back all-time highs, both driven by the same compute headroom expansion, suggest the ceiling moved, not just the peak.

Days between August 4 and August 10 still ran well above the January mark, which is the pattern of a new baseline rather than an isolated spike.

Priority Fees and Network Demand on August 10

Higher traffic pushed priority fees to their highest level in the trailing month, according to Solana Compass analytics. Priority fees rise when block space fills up and users compete for inclusion order, and August 10's combination of expanded block capacity and record demand produced the sharpest fee-pressure reading in the window. Jito JTO$0.555-1.6% tips also rose alongside, tracking the broader increase in transaction activity.

$8.8 Million in Bitwise BSOL Inflows on the Same Day

US spot Solana ETFs took in $8.8 million in net inflows on August 10, per CryptoBriefing, with essentially all of that going to the Bitwise BSOL fund. The category had received no net inflows across the five prior trading days, making the August 10 figure a sharp reversal.

The Solana ETF market remains small relative to the Bitcoin ETF cohort: cumulative net inflows of roughly $1.06 billion, against the tens of billions Bitcoin ETFs absorbed in their first months after January 2024. Whether the network activity and the ETF inflow date share a cause is not established in available data.
