Solana July 2026 Monthly Transaction Record: 4.2B Non-Vote Txns, Up 91% Since December
Solana processed 4.2 billion non-vote transactions in July 2026, a monthly record up 91% since December 2025, with SIMD-0286 adding 66% more block compute.
Solana SOL$111.10+0.9% processed 4.2 billion non-vote transactions in July 2026, its highest monthly count on record, according to on-chain data published by The Kobeissi Letter and reported by Cointelegraph on August 25. The July figure is 13.5% above June's 3.77 billion and 91% above the roughly 2.2 billion recorded in December 2025.
The count tracks non-vote transactions only: trades, mints, token transfers, and application interactions initiated by users. Validator voting messages, which are network overhead rather than user activity, are excluded.
Six Months of Monthly Growth, Second Consecutive Record
Monthly non-vote transaction counts on Solana climbed through the first half of 2026, reaching 3.77 billion in June, itself a record at the time. July extended that run with a further 13.5% gain, the second consecutive monthly ATH.
Within July, the network also crossed a weekly threshold for the first time: the week ending July 6 was the first in Solana's history to exceed one billion non-vote transactions. Weekly counts continued climbing through the summer, reaching a subsequent high of 1.318 billion in the week of August 17โ23. Both are weekly figures; the 4.2 billion covers the full month of July.
Non-vote transactions on Solana averaged 133 million per day in July, with the final five days each exceeding 150 million. July 29, the day SIMD-0286 activated, reached 159.2 million, the month's highest single-day count.
View on Solana Compass โSIMD-0286 Expanded Block Compute Capacity by 66% on July 29
Solana Compass analytics show the network averaged 133 million non-vote transactions per day across July. The highest single-day reading was 159.2 million on July 29, the day SIMD-0286 activated.
SIMD-0286 raised the mainnet block compute limit from 60 million to 100 million compute units, a 66% increase. As Compass covered when the upgrade went live, the expanded limit allowed more instructions per block without requiring faster slot times.
The upgrade's effect on throughput became visible almost immediately after activation. Six days later, on August 4, Solana registered a single-day non-vote transaction record of 169.9 million. Because SIMD-0286 only activated on July 29, its contribution to July's overall 4.2 billion figure came in just the final three days of the month.
Solana Averaged 1,584 Non-Vote Transactions Per Second in July
Blockworks analytics data shows the network averaged 1,584 non-vote transactions per second over July, a monthly throughput record for the network. That average spans the full 31 days, including periods before SIMD-0286 activated.
Tokenized Real-World Assets on Solana Approached $4 Billion
Alongside the transaction record, tokenized real-world assets circulating on Solana approached $4 billion in value by late August, up 11.8% over the prior 30 days, according to RWA.xyz. The platform tracked 1,243 distinct tokenized assets on the network.
RWA activity contributes non-vote transaction volume through mints, transfers, and settlement flows that pass through Solana's standard transaction pipeline. The category's growth runs alongside the retail trading, token launches, and application interactions that make up the majority of the monthly transaction count, not instead of them.
SOL gained about 40% in the eight days through August 25, crossing $100 for the first time since February, per CoinMarketCap data cited by Cointelegraph. The price move coincided with broader crypto market recovery following U.S. Treasury announcements on long-term bond buyback operations.
