Solana SOL$78.37+3.3% posted the highest daily network revenue of any blockchain on July 18, 2026, according to cross-chain fee data from DeFiLlama, the first time in nearly five months it had held that ranking.

SolanaFloor analytics, which publishes on-chain metrics sourced from DeFiLlama, announced the milestone on July 20:

What DeFiLlama's Network Revenue Metric Measures

DeFiLlama's cross-chain fee comparison measures network-level fees: the transaction fees paid across all on-chain activity on a given chain, accruing to validators and stakers. It is a separate measure from the revenue generated by individual protocols and applications sitting on top of the chain.

The distinction matters because Solana has led all blockchains in dApp revenue for nine consecutive quarters. As covered on July 1, Solana dApps generated $257 million in Q2 2026, capturing roughly 41% of total Web3 dApp revenue per DeFiLlama. That quarterly protocol-level figure reflects what applications built on Solana earn; the daily chain-level ranking reflects the raw throughput of fees across the network's base layer.

For that cross-chain daily comparison, Hyperliquid had held a consistent position near or at the top through the first half of 2026, driven by the fee structure of its concentrated perpetuals trading model. Solana's return to #1 on July 18 came through aggregate activity across the whole ecosystem rather than any single protocol.

What Drove the July 18 Revenue Surge

Several demand drivers were active in the days surrounding July 18.

Social copy-trading application FOMO posted its highest-ever weekly revenue in the period ending July 17, ranking third among all Solana protocols by seven-day revenue with $1.39 million at the weekly peak. FOMO's model routes every mirrored trade through an on-chain swap, so elevated platform usage translates directly into chain-level transaction fees. At the volumes it was processing through mid-July, those incremental swaps compounded into a material share of Solana's daily fee production.

Capital inflows added volume. SolanaFloor reported $26 million bridged from other chains onto Solana in the seven days ending July 20. Incoming capital moving into on-chain positions generates swap activity layered on top of the baseline DEX fee production from Raydium RAY$0.718+6.7%, Jupiter JUP$0.199+1.7%, and other protocols.

Stablecoin depth reached a simultaneous milestone. The non-USDC/USDT stablecoin supply on Solana hit an all-time high of $4.81 billion as of July 20, per CryptoBriefing, with USD1 and USDG leading the expansion. Greater stablecoin liquidity depth underpins higher DEX trading capacity, which feeds chain-level fees at scale.

The combination produced a day in which Solana's aggregate fee output exceeded what any other blockchain, including Hyperliquid's focused model, generated.

Solana Compass DEX analytics show the activity shift: daily on-chain swap volume averaged $2.5โ€“3 billion through early July before climbing to $5.62 billion on July 18.

Solana's on-chain swap volume reached $5.62B on July 18, the day Solana led all blockchains in daily network revenue per DeFiLlama, up from roughly $3B daily in early July.

When Solana Last Led Daily Blockchain Revenue: February 2026

The "nearly five months" in the SolanaFloor announcement places Solana's last top-ranked daily in approximately February 2026. That month saw a broader run of Solana network strength: the Solana Foundation's February 2026 report documented $650 billion in stablecoin transaction volume processed that month, the highest figure recorded by any blockchain to that point, alongside leading DEX volume across chains.

The period from February through mid-July coincided with Hyperliquid consolidating its position as the dominant on-chain perpetuals venue, with its concentrated fee model keeping it at or near the top of daily cross-chain revenue comparisons. Solana's dApp revenue lead continued uninterrupted through that span (the nine-quarter quarterly streak reflects it), but the daily chain-level ranking had shifted.

The July 18 data point reflects a day where the broader activity base reasserted itself over the concentrated model.

Solana Daily Fee Revenue and a Nine-Quarter dApp Streak

Q2 2026 closed with Solana dApps at $257 million in quarterly protocol revenue, extending the network's lead in that metric to nine consecutive quarters. The quarter ended June 30, and the July signals in stablecoin supply expansion, FOMO's rise in the protocol revenue table, and sustained cross-chain inflows suggest the underlying demand carried into the new quarter.

Both the daily chain-level revenue ranking and the quarterly dApp revenue leadership reflect the same underlying variable: real user activity generating fees. A day in which Solana tops the network fee ranking adds a data point alongside the quarterly evidence; the ecosystem is producing demand across its full stack, from base-layer transaction volume to application-level fee capture.

DeFiLlama's daily chain fee rankings are updated continuously and available across all major networks for ongoing comparison.
