Solana Labs has launched Leap, a mobile app for trading tokenized stocks, ETFs, metals, currencies and crypto on Solana. Announced on 5 November 2026, the app is in early access on iPhone and was built by the team behind Dialect. Leap charges no fees of its own at launch, and plans to use future fees to buy and burn SOL.
Our full guide to the Leap app walks through the portfolio screen, the referral program and how to get access.
Solana Labs moves into consumer trading apps with Leap
Leap is a consumer product from Solana Labs, the company that originally built Solana. The official Solana account called Leap "a new company from @solanalabs" and a "high performance mobile trading app, engineered for discipline." Solana Labs said the app was "built by the team behind Dialect and integrated with the best of the Solana ecosystem."
That team has a track record in consumer crypto. Dialect created Solana Actions and Blinks and X cashtags, according to Decrypt, which also reported that Solana Labs acquired Dialect earlier this year. Chris Osborn, Dialect's founder and now Leap's general manager, confirmed the deal on launch day: "Earlier this year, Solana Labs acquired my company Dialect. Today we're launching our team's next phase."
The same post set out the pitch, calling Leap a trading app "built on the belief that crypto is the future, Solana is the network, & trading discipline, not volume, is the goal." A broker paid per trade does better when its customers trade more; Leap is pitching itself on helping traders see whether their trading is working.
What you can trade: tokenized stocks, ETFs, metals and memecoins
Leap puts traditional assets and Solana tokens in one portfolio. The press release lists tokenized stocks, ETFs, metals, currencies and crypto, and the Solana account described "every asset from tokenized stocks to memecoins, with the stories behind the charts and P&L that counts everything." A tokenized stock is a token on Solana that tracks the price of a listed company's share.
The P&L line is the feature Leap leans on hardest. Leap's own site promises "your real PnL and breakeven on every position. Deposits, withdrawals, trades and fees included." The breakeven price is the price an asset has to reach for a position to stop losing money once every cost is counted, so the number a trader sees reflects what they actually paid.
Leap is self-custodial, according to the same site: users hold their own assets and are responsible for their wallet login and recovery details. The site also says the tokenized stocks and ETFs are digital tokens issued by third parties and are not available in the US or certain other jurisdictions.
Jupiter, Helius and Birdeye power the app's trades and market data
Leap is built on infrastructure the Solana ecosystem already runs. Jupiter JUP$0.244-4.8% routes the trades, Helius hSOL$107.31-5.2% provides infrastructure and Birdeye supplies market data, according to the press release. Network and routing costs apply and are shown before each trade.
Because Jupiter does the routing, Leap's trades draw on liquidity already on Solana from day one. Osborn's argument in the release is that the network side is now fast enough for this to feel like a trading app: "The Solana blockchain now confirms a trade in about 150 milliseconds thanks to Alpenglow, so the network is now faster than ever. Our job is to get the rest right, from the infrastructure to the app itself, so traders can make better decisions and see how they're really doing."
The 150-millisecond figure follows Alpenglow's activation on mainnet on 21 October 2026, which replaced Solana's old consensus and cut finality from about 12.8 seconds to about 150 milliseconds. About two weeks later, Solana Labs is shipping a consumer app built around that speed.
Future Leap fees are planned to buy and burn SOL
Leap does not charge its own fees at launch. When fees arrive, Leap "plans to use future fees to buy and burn SOL and power the referral program," according to the press release. Buy-and-burn means buying SOL on the open market and destroying it, which permanently removes those tokens from supply. No fee rate or burn share has been announced yet.
Other Solana apps already tie their revenue to a token. As we covered on 3 November, Solana Mobile said its daily buy and burn of the SKR token is funded by a portion of its validator commissions and wallet fees. Leap's plan differs in one respect: the token it plans to burn is SOL, the network's own asset, rather than an app token.
Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder and CEO of Solana Labs, framed the launch in the release: "The network is ready for every kind of market. What matters now are the products that help people use it well and keep them coming back. Every app that brings new people onchain makes the whole ecosystem stronger, and Leap is built to do that for the long run."
Founders Club referral rewards: 30% plus 5% of fees
Early waitlist members join the Leap Founders Club and get a referral code. Once fees are introduced, Founders "are expected to earn 30% of the trading fees generated by the people they invite, plus 5% from the people those users invite," according to the press release, subject to eligibility and terms. Leap's site adds that the 30% share drops to 20% after 12 months, and that referred users get 10% back on their own Leap fees for six months.
Leap availability: iPhone TestFlight beta, Android waitlist, no UK access
Leap is available now on iPhone through Apple's public TestFlight beta program, with Android coming soon. "Early access starts today," the Leap account posted at launch. Anyone can join the waitlist on the web. Leap is not available in the United Kingdom or other restricted regions, according to the press release, and Leap's site notes that available assets and features vary by location.
What the launch means for tokenized stocks on Solana
Leap arrives in a busy week for tokenized stocks on Solana. On the same day, Jito's JTX launched equities trading for Backpack and Ondo tokenized stocks, and on 2 November Securitize doubled its Solana lineup to 25 tokenized US equities. Issuers are putting more stocks on Solana, and Leap gives retail traders a new way to reach them, built by the company behind the network itself.
The details to watch are the ones that switch on later: the fee rate and the share of fees that goes to buying and burning SOL, the Android release, and which tokenized stocks and ETFs Leap lists in each region.
