Leap is a mobile trading app from Solana Labs, the company co-founded by Anatoly Yakovenko. It lets you trade tokenized stocks, ETFs, metals, currencies and crypto from one self-custodial app on Solana. Early access opened on 5 November 2026 on iPhone, with Android to follow. Leap charges no fees of its own yet, and it plans to use part of its future fees to buy and burn SOL. You can join the Founders Club with invite code AW8S3 at leap.xyz.
Leap is a different product from Leap Wallet, the Cosmos wallet with a similar name. Everything below is about the Solana Labs app.
What is Leap, the Solana Labs trading app?
Leap is a phone app for trading many kinds of assets on Solana. Stocks, ETFs, gold, currencies, memecoins and major crypto sit side by side. Every trade settles on chain. You hold your own funds in your own wallet, so Leap never holds them for you.
The app is run by Leap Platforms, LLC, a Solana Labs company. Solana Labs announced it on 5 November 2026 as a beta. It opened first on iPhone, through Apple's public TestFlight program.
Leap's team sums up the product in two beliefs. They appear on its website and in a launch thread from the @leapxyz account on X: "that Solana is the network for every asset on earth, & retail traders deserve a product engineered for discipline, not volume."
That second belief is the interesting one. Leap is pitched at people who want to know what they own and why before they trade. Its two main features both point that way: a daily news feed, and a profit-and-loss screen built around your breakeven price. Anatoly Yakovenko, Solana Labs' co-founder and CEO, put the launch in wider terms. He told Decrypt that every app that brings new people on chain makes the whole ecosystem stronger.
Who built Leap: the Dialect team behind Solana Blinks
Leap is built by the team behind Dialect Dialect, which Solana Labs acquired earlier in 2026. Dialect created Solana Actions and Blinks, the tools that turn a blockchain transaction into a link you can share and click. The same team also contributed to the cashtags feature on X, according to the Solana Labs press release.
Chris Osborn, Dialect's founder, is Leap's general manager, Decrypt reported.
That background fits the product. Dialect spent years on the hardest part of crypto apps: making an on-chain action feel like tapping a normal button. Blinks put a "buy" or "vote" button inside a tweet. Leap applies the same thinking to a whole trading app. If you want the history, Osborn walked through how Blinks came together in this Lightspeed conversation on Actions and Blinks.
Being inside Solana Labs matters too. Solana Labs is also the parent of Solana Mobile Solana Mobile, so Leap joins a company that already builds for crypto on phones.
What you can trade on Leap: tokenized stocks, ETFs, metals and Solana tokens
Leap covers five kinds of asset in one app: tokenized stocks, ETFs, commodities such as metals, currencies, and crypto. Crypto here means everything from SOL and majors to the long tail of Solana tokens. The press release counts "millions of tokens on Solana", and markets are open around the clock, subject to local restrictions.
A tokenized stock is a token on Solana that tracks the price of a real share, such as Apple or Nvidia. Third-party issuers create these tokens; CryptoBriefing names Ondo Finance and xStocks among them. Leap gives you a place to trade them next to your crypto.
This is where Solana already leads. On-chain stock trading has grown fast, and Solana carried the large majority of it in 2026. We tracked Solana's share of on-chain equity trading passing 95% in June 2026. You can see which stocks trade most on our tokenized stocks dashboard.
For you, that means one balance and one app. You could move from a memecoin into a gold token, then into an S&P 500 ETF, on a Sunday night, without opening a brokerage account. Tokenized stocks and ETFs are not offered to US users.
Leap's Home tab: daily market stories that explain the move
Leap's Home tab is a feed of daily stories about what is moving markets. Leap's research team picks the news, and each story is pinned to the price chart at the moment it broke. When you open a chart, you can see what happened and when.
Leap's launch thread calls the Home tab "immersive", and it covers every asset class in the app, from memecoins to macro news. Leap's website puts the goal plainly: "Get the why with daily curated news & build your conviction."
Most trading apps give you a price and a buy button. The reason behind the price is left to Telegram groups and X. Leap brings that context into the app. If a stock token jumps 8% overnight, the story that caused it sits on the chart beside the candle.
This is the feature that best explains Leap's "discipline, not volume" pitch. A trader who knows why something moved is less likely to chase it.
How Leap tracks PnL and your breakeven price
Leap builds its portfolio screen around one number: your breakeven, the price at which a position stops losing money. Your profit and loss counts deposits, withdrawals, trades and fees. You see it for each asset, each position and your whole portfolio.
Leap's launch thread says every trade should start from a "crystal clear picture" of your profit and loss. The detail most apps skip is fees.
Here is a worked example. Say you buy $1,000 of a token at $10, and you pay $5 in network and routing costs. Your real breakeven is $10.05, so if you sell at $10.03, a simple app shows a profit while Leap shows a small loss. Across dozens of trades, those small gaps add up, and Leap's number tells you whether you are really ahead.
Including deposits and withdrawals matters for a similar reason. Add $500 to your wallet and your balance rises, but you have not made $500. Leap's numbers keep those flows separate from trading gains, so the figure you see is what your trades earned.
How a trade works on Leap: Jupiter routing, Helius and Alpenglow speed
A trade on Leap starts with a dollar amount. You choose an asset, type how much you want to spend, and confirm with one tap. Leap turns that into an on-chain swap, and Jupiter JUP$0.241-7.5% Jupiter finds the best route across Solana's liquidity. The trade settles straight into your own wallet.
Leap built on familiar Solana infrastructure. Jupiter handles routing, Helius hSOL$107.00-6.8% Helius runs the infrastructure, and Birdeye Birdeye and tokens.xyz supply market data. The launch thread adds that more teams are to come, and invites anyone "shipping on Solana, big or small" to get in touch.
Speed comes from the network itself. Alpenglow, Solana's new consensus system, went live on mainnet on 21 October 2026 and cut the time for a block to be final from about 12.8 seconds to about 150 milliseconds. Osborn told Decrypt that, thanks to Alpenglow, Solana now confirms a trade in about 150 milliseconds.
In practice, a tap on Leap should feel like a tap on a brokerage app. The difference is that your stock token or memecoin is in your own wallet a fraction of a second later.
Leap fees and the plan to buy and burn SOL
Leap charges no fees of its own during early access. You pay only the Solana network fee and the routing cost of each swap, and Leap shows an estimate before you confirm. Once Leap fees start, Leap plans to use part of them to buy SOL on the market and burn it, and to fund referral rewards.
Leap's framing is that "growth should contribute to the ecosystem it runs on." In the launch thread's words, Leap plans "to use a portion of future fees to buy & burn SOL, & fund referral rewards."
Burning takes SOL out of supply for good. Solana already burns half of every transaction's base fee at the protocol level. Leap's plan adds an app-level burn on top, funded by trading fees. Under that plan, more trading on Leap means more SOL burned.
That is a notable choice. Many apps on Solana return fee value to a token of their own. Leap points it at SOL, the token that secures the network the app runs on.
Leap Founders Club: referral rewards and invite code AW8S3
The Founders Club is Leap's early-access and referral program. Members get a personal referral code, early access to new features, and a direct line to the team on the roadmap. Once Leap fees go live, members earn 30% of Leap's fees on trades by friends they refer, falling to 20% after 12 months.
The rewards run two levels deep, and the friend you invite gets a rebate too. Here is how the rates on Leap's invite page and website stack up:
| Who earns | Reward |
|---|---|
| You, on Leap fees from friends you refer | 30% for the first 12 months, then 20% |
| You, on Leap fees from their referrals | 5% |
| A friend who joins with your code | 10% rebate on their Leap fees for 6 months |
All of these start when Leap begins charging fees, and none apply to network or routing costs. Leap's referral terms say rewards are paid in USDC once they pass a $10 minimum.
Joining with a code gets you the 10% rebate on your own fees for your first six months, and your own Founders Club code to share. You can use ours: AW8S3.
How to get Leap: waitlist, iPhone TestFlight and Android
Leap is in early access on iPhone through Apple's public TestFlight program. You join the waitlist at leap.xyz with a Google account, and Leap sends TestFlight invites to people on the list. An Android version is coming soon, according to the press release.
The steps are short:
- Open Leap's invite page and join the Founders Club with code AW8S3.
- Sign in with Google to take your place on the waitlist.
- When your invite arrives, install TestFlight from the App Store and open Leap through it.
- Fund your wallet and make your first trade.
Leap is available in selected regions, and the assets you see depend on where you live. Leap is not available in the UK. Trading carries risk, and you can lose money.
How Leap compares with Phantom and other Solana trading apps
Leap's difference is focus. Many Solana trading apps are built for speed and memecoins. Leap covers memecoins too, but it leads with stocks, ETFs and metals, explains market moves in the app, and tracks your real breakeven. It is also a Solana Labs company, with its future fees pointed at burning SOL.
Wallets such as Phantom are built to hold your assets first, with a swap button added, and trading terminals serve active traders with fast charts and advanced orders. Leap sits somewhere else. It is closer to a brokerage app in feel, with one tap, dollar amounts and a news feed, while keeping self-custody and on-chain settlement.
That makes Leap a good fit for a few kinds of reader. If you are coming from a stock brokerage and curious about on-chain markets, Leap gives you shares, ETFs and gold in a familiar layout. If you already hold SOL and trade the odd token, Leap gives you a cleaner view of your real returns. If you trade memecoins all day with limit orders and sniping tools, a dedicated terminal is still built for that.
What to watch as Leap rolls out
Leap launched as a beta on 5 November 2026, so a few things will take shape over the following months. These are the ones to watch:
- The date Leap fees start, and the level they are set at. That date also starts Founders Club rewards.
- The share of each fee that goes to the SOL burn, once fees are live.
- The Android release, and how fast the waitlist opens up.
- New partners and products. The launch thread says "spot trading is just the start."
We will cover each of these as Leap announces them.
