Jito JTO$0.335-4.9%'s trading terminal JTX has launched JTX Equities, a dedicated stock-trading section on Solana. It went live on 5 November 2026 with tokenized US and international stocks from Backpack and Ondo USDY$1.15-0.1%, priced by quotes that come directly from the two issuers.

JTX announced the launch as "Equities, built for equity traders," promising "direct issuer quotes (RFQ), live pricing, and a full equities data experience." Backpack confirmed its "1:1 redeemable tokenized equities" were live on JTX 17 minutes later, and Ondo followed that evening.

How RFQ pricing for tokenized stocks works on JTX

RFQ stands for request for quote. Instead of swapping against a pool of tokens, whose price shifts as each trade eats into it, the trader asks for a price and the issuer answers with one for that order. Ondo says its RFQ model lets JTX traders draw on the liquidity of the underlying stock market instead of relying on onchain pools.

That matters because onchain pools for tokenized stocks are often shallow. Each token tracks a listed share, so the issuer can price it against the stock market itself, where the depth is, rather than against whatever tokens sit in a Solana pool at that moment. A large order on a thin pool moves the price against the trader; a quote from the issuer, tied to the listed share, does not depend on that pool at all.

Backpack's own Tesla token shows how thin those pools can be. At 19:24 UTC on 5 November, Solana Compass's token page for the Backpack Securities Tesla token showed about $185,000 of onchain DEX liquidity, a market value of about $248,000 (roughly 43 tokens), more than 650 holders and about $830,000 of spot DEX volume over the previous 24 hours. A single six-figure order through those pools would be a large share of the depth available.

Ondo lists what JTX traders get alongside the quotes: self-custodial trading, real-time pricing based on the stock market, options flow and market insights, and analyst ratings and earnings data. Self-custodial means the tokens sit in the trader's own wallet, not in an account held by JTX. JTX posted separate pages for Ondo's equities and Backpack's within two hours of the launch.

SolanaFloor, a news site that discloses it is a subsidiary of the Jito Network, reported that JTX Equities lists more than 1,650 tokenized stocks, quotes RFQ swaps of up to $1 million, and also carries xStocks. The JTX, Backpack and Ondo posts name Backpack and Ondo as the issuers quoting on the platform.

From Jito block building to a tokenized stock terminal

Jito is best known for the infrastructure that orders and builds Solana blocks. JTX is its move into the screen traders actually look at. The terminal opened to its first 1,000 users on 14 July, the day after the JIP-38 vote sent 80% of JTX platform fees to the Jito DAO for JTO buybacks. It opened to all users on 21 July with limit orders, conditional orders and support for tokenized equities.

The new Equities section goes beyond that July support. It adds the issuer quotes and the research tools an equity trader expects from a broker, such as earnings data and analyst ratings, inside a Solana wallet-based terminal.

Ondo's RFQ route is not new on Solana. Ondo's tokenized stocks reached Titan Exchange through RFQ in June, and LI.FI added them to its intents network in October. Backpack-issued shares keep turning up in new Solana apps too, most recently as collateral in a Kamino lending market.

Tokenized stock front ends multiply on Solana

The JTX launch landed on the same day as Leap, the Solana Labs trading app for tokenized stocks and crypto that we explain in our Leap guide. That makes two new self-custodial stock-trading front ends on Solana in one afternoon. Issuers such as Backpack and Ondo supply the shares, and a growing set of apps compete on how they price and present them.

For traders, the practical things to check in the JTX app are which stocks each issuer quotes, how quotes behave when US markets are closed, which countries are eligible, and the fee on an equity trade.
