Phantom Adds Robinhood Chain Support, Bringing Tokenized Stock DeFi to Solana's Biggest Wallet
Phantom added Robinhood Chain support on July 23, 2026, giving its Solana-rooted users direct access to tokenized stocks and DeFi on the new Ethereum L2.
On July 23, Phantom CASH$0.9990.0% announced that Robinhood Chain is now a supported network inside its wallet, adding Robinhood's Ethereum Layer 2 alongside Solana, Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Sui, Monad, Bitcoin, and HyperEVM. The official announcement drew 1,920 likes and 213,000 views.
Phantom users can now view balances, send and receive tokens, swap, and bridge assets on Robinhood Chain without leaving the wallet they already use for their other networks, according to Phantom's official help documentation.
What Is Robinhood Chain
Robinhood Chain is a permissionless Ethereum Layer 2 network built on Arbitrum's Orbit stack, launched on July 1, 2026 during an event Robinhood called "The World is Flat." The chain targets tokenized real-world assets, DeFi applications, and AI-agent-driven trading, running at 100-millisecond block times with ETH as the native gas token and full EVM compatibility, per Robinhood's chain page.
Its flagship product is Stock Tokens: on-chain instruments providing price exposure to publicly traded companies including NVIDIA, Apple, and Google, available in 120+ countries outside the United States, per Robinhood. Day-one DeFi protocols on the chain included Uniswap, Lighter, 1inch, Rialto, and Arcus. Per Decrypt, the network processed over 17 million transactions and attracted more than 350,000 active addresses in its first week, generating over $1 billion in DEX volume.
What Phantom Users Can Do on Robinhood Chain
Once enabled, Phantom supports the full suite of basic asset management actions on Robinhood Chain: viewing token balances, sending and receiving tokens, swapping supported assets, and bridging in or out. Users manage Robinhood Chain through their existing EVM wallet address in Phantom (the same address that already works for Ethereum, Base, and Polygon), with no new wallet creation required.
One capability planned but not yet live: a deeper connection between Phantom and Robinhood Wallet that would let users control assets across both apps while trading on-chain. Robinhood has said that integration is scheduled for later in 2026.
Stock Tokens on Robinhood Chain are not available to US-based users.
How to Enable Robinhood Chain in Phantom
Phantom's help documentation describes three steps to get started:
- Update Phantom to the latest version.
- Open Settings and select Active Networks.
- Find Robinhood Chain in the list and turn it on.
Gas fees on Robinhood Chain are paid in ETH on Robinhood Chain, not in SOL. Users who want to bridge assets from Solana or other networks will need to acquire ETH on Robinhood Chain before initiating any transactions.
Phantom Becomes Second Solana-Origin Wallet to Support Robinhood Chain
With Robinhood Chain, Phantom now supports nine networks. The wallet originated as Solana's primary interface during the 2021 NFT and DeFi cycle and has since extended to Ethereum and its L2 ecosystem, Bitcoin, and more recently cross-chain destinations like Sui and Monad. Each addition has followed the same logic: go where the significant EVM or Solana-adjacent activity is.
This is the second Solana-connected wallet to add Robinhood Chain. As we covered in Backpack's July 12 integration, Backpack was the first, adding discovery, swap, and bridge capabilities. Phantom's integration now extends that feature set to include send and receive.
On July 8, World.xyz migrated its prediction market from Solana to Robinhood Chain, and Phantom publicly reaffirmed its Solana commitment at the time alongside Raydium and Jito. Supporting Robinhood Chain as a network is a different posture than abandoning Solana: Phantom treats it as one chain among ten, the same approach it takes with Ethereum and Polygon.
For Robinhood Chain, gaining Phantom as a supported wallet matters for reach. Robinhood documents its own mobile Wallet and MetaMask as the primary wallet options for the chain, but Phantom brings a user base that arrived through Solana and has experience navigating multi-chain DeFi. The Robinhood platform counts approximately 28 million customers across 38 countries, per The Block. Phantom's users skew toward self-custody and on-chain interaction, a different and largely non-overlapping population now with a path into Robinhood Chain's tokenized securities ecosystem.
