Phantom Wallet Adds BNB Chain Support, Making It the App's Ninth Network
Phantom wallet now supports BNB Chain. On the latest app version, users can hold, send and swap BNB Chain tokens next to Solana, with Hyperliquid-powered perps.
Phantom CASH$1.000+0.0%, the self-custody wallet that built its user base on Solana, now supports BNB Chain. Phantom announced the launch on X at 17:05 UTC on 1 October 2026, telling users to "make sure you're on the latest version of the app to start trading." Two minutes later, BNB Chain's official account confirmed that "BNB Chain is now live on @Phantom."
For Phantom users, the update puts BNB Chain tokens in the same app as their SOL and other Solana tokens. For BNB Chain users, Phantom becomes one more wallet option for the network.
What Phantom's BNB Chain support includes
Phantom's announcement mentions trading but lists no specific features. According to Crypto Briefing, users can check balances, send and receive BNB Chain tokens, and trade without leaving the app. Crypto Briefing reports that in-app trading on BNB Chain covers token swaps as well as perpetual futures powered by Hyperliquid, and that the wallet remains non-custodial, so users keep control of their own keys.
Before this update, according to Crypto Briefing, people holding BNB Smart Chain (BSC) assets were pointed toward EVM wallets such as MetaMask to manage or recover them, and Phantom users no longer need a second EVM wallet alongside Phantom to reach those holdings. EVM refers to the Ethereum Virtual Machine, the smart-contract standard BNB Chain shares with Ethereum, which is why the same wallet types work across both networks.
Phantom's documentation has not caught up yet. As of 1 October 2026, the supported-networks page in Phantom's help center still lists BSC among unsupported networks.
How many networks Phantom supports after adding BNB Chain
BNB Chain is Phantom's ninth network. Before the launch, Phantom's help center listed eight: Solana, Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Robinhood Chain, Arc, HyperEVM and Bitcoin. The most recent addition before BNB Chain was Robinhood Chain on 23 July 2026, which we covered when Phantom brought tokenized-stock DeFi into the app.
Both launches put another network's trading behind Phantom's single interface, so a user manages one wallet across all of them. Robinhood Chain brought tokenized equities. BNB Chain brings a large EVM ecosystem with its own token markets.
Why Phantom adding BNB Chain matters for Solana
Phantom launched as a Solana wallet in 2021, and every network it has added since is reached from inside the same app. A Solana-native product is becoming a front door to other ecosystems, and BNB Chain traders who install Phantom to reach BNB Chain land one tap away from Solana's markets.
Traffic between the Binance ecosystem and Solana has already been moving the other way. On 12 September 2026, Kamino Finance KMNO$0.041-5.7% said more than $100 million had been deposited into its Kamino Vaults on Solana through Binance Wallet, the wallet app from Binance, as we reported at the time. The more interesting question is which way users drift once both ecosystems sit side by side in the same apps. Phantom's integration makes BNB Chain easier to reach for Solana users, and Solana easier to reach for anyone who installs Phantom to trade BNB Chain tokens.
BNB Chain support is live now for anyone on the latest version of the Phantom app.
