World Prediction Market Migrates From Solana to Robinhood Chain as Raydium, Phantom, and Jito Reaffirm

World, a fully onchain prediction market that built its initial user base inside the Phantom CASH$0.9990.0% wallet on Solana, announced on July 8 that it is migrating to Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 that opened its public mainnet one week earlier. Within hours of the announcement, three of Solana's most prominent protocol teams posted public reaffirmations of their commitment to the network.

The announcement posted to X at 14:21 UTC reached 818,311 views, 2,722 likes, and 530 quote-tweets. "After careful deliberation from the team in the last 24 hours, world has made the decision to migrate off of solana and onto @RobinhoodCrypto chain," the post read. "This tactful pivot was not made lightly, our sincere appreciation goes out to the solana foundation and community." No specific technical or strategic rationale was given.

World on Solana: A Phantom-Embedded Prediction Market

World launched on Solana as a non-custodial prediction market where users traded event contracts (including Bitcoin price movements and 2026 FIFA World Cup outcomes) directly from their wallets with no custody transfer. The platform settled positions in Phantom's CASH stablecoin and relied on Chainlink for price feeds and outcome resolution. Distribution ran through Phantom's iOS, Android, and desktop apps, giving World immediate access to Phantom's roughly 20 million users. As of its July 1 launch coverage by CoinDesk, World had not publicly disclosed a token or total value locked.

Raydium, Phantom, and Jito Respond

Three major protocols posted responses within hours of the World announcement, each adopting the same deliberative phrasing World used, the structure clearly satirical.

Raydium RAY$0.612+1.9% posted: "After careful deliberation from the Raydium team in the last 24 hours, we will NOT be leaving to build on the Robinhood chain. We will continue to build for the best trading experience on the best chain: Solana." The post drew 406 likes and 27,000 views.

Phantom's response on X was brief and drew 1,230 likes and 74,000 views, a particularly pointed statement given that Phantom had been World's primary distribution partner on Solana.

Jito JTO$0.507-6.7% posted "Everything will trade on Solana" on X. Circulating alongside was a statement in the same satirical pledge format, attributed to the Jito team: "After strong consideration from the Jito team, we will NOT be leaving to build on the Robinhood chain. We will continue to build for the best trading experience on the best chain for trading: Solana."

Robinhood Chain: An Arbitrum L2 Focused on Tokenized Assets

Robinhood Chain launched its public mainnet on July 1, 2026, announced at a Robinhood event in London. The chain is built on Arbitrum's technology stack and is designed for tokenized real-world assets and on-chain financial services. Day-one integrations included Uniswap, Chainlink, and BitGo. Robinhood has positioned the chain as infrastructure connecting its retail brokerage user base to on-chain finance.
