Backpack Wallet Adds Robinhood Chain, Letting Users Discover, Swap, and Bridge From One App

Backpack added Robinhood Chain to its wallet on July 12, eleven days after the Ethereum Layer 2 launched on mainnet. Backpack Wallet users can now discover, swap, and bridge Robinhood Chain tokens from the same app they use for Solana and Backpack's own exchange.

The official @Backpack account announced the integration at 06:08 UTC. A minute later, CEO Armani Ferrante posted a tutorial video walking through the bridging flow from within the wallet.

What Robinhood Chain Offers Backpack Users

Robinhood opened its Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum L2 on the Arbitrum Orbit stack, to the public on July 1. The chain is built around tokenized real-world assets and 24/7 financial services. Its main assets are stock tokens that provide economic exposure to publicly traded companies including NVIDIA, Apple, and Google, and USDG (Global Dollar), the Paxos-issued stablecoin native to the chain. US persons are excluded from the stock tokens; the chain is available in over 120 countries, according to Robinhood.

Uniswap deployed a dedicated AMM on Robinhood Chain at launch. The chain's DeFi ecosystem also includes lending, yield, and a perpetuals platform from Lighter, with Chainlink providing oracle data and cross-chain interoperability.

Bridging From Solana to Robinhood Chain

Cross-chain access was part of Robinhood Chain's launch design. 0x's Cross-Chain API powers swap liquidity and cross-chain transfers from day one, with Solana listed as a supported origin network, letting users buy Robinhood Chain stock tokens using assets from other chains in a single transaction.

Backpack's wallet integration surfaces that cross-chain infrastructure for its existing user base. Backpack already supports Solana and several EVM chains; Robinhood Chain, itself EVM-compatible, extends that multi-chain reach to an L2 with stock tokens and a native stablecoin attached.

The integration arrives as Robinhood Chain's application layer is taking shape. World.xyz moved its prediction market from Solana to Robinhood Chain on July 8, one of the chain's first application arrivals. Backpack's support gives its users a direct path into that ecosystem from the wallet they already hold.
