Bitwise BSOL ETF Logs $85M Trading Session as SOL Recovers to $112
Bitwise BSOL drew approximately $85M in trading volume September 18 as SOL climbed 11% to $112, backed by $1.145B in AUM and a 5.35% net yield via Helius.
Bitwise's BSOL, the first US-listed spot Solana staking ETF, drew approximately $85 million in trading volume on September 18 as SOL climbed 11% to $112, its highest level since January 2026, according to U.Today. The session came less than a month after BSOL's previous peak of $108 million, posted in August when US spot Solana ETFs collectively crossed $1.19 billion in cumulative inflows.
The September 18 move brought SOL back above $100 for the first time since early 2026. BSOL shares gained 12.04% on the day to $15.54, roughly in line with the underlying token's appreciation, U.Today reported.
BSOL Holds $1.14B in Assets Listed on NYSE Arca
As of September 17, BSOL held $1,145,113,559 in net assets, according to the fund's official data page. Bitwise launched the ETF on NYSE Arca on October 23, 2025, as the first spot Solana ETP in the United States. The fund charges a sponsor fee of 0.20%, with 100% of assets currently staked.
The trading activity on September 18 was amplified by broader market dynamics. SOL futures open interest stood at approximately $7 billion that day, and $36.72 million in short liquidations (96% of the session's $38.21 million total) pointed to a short squeeze as the primary driver of the intraday move, U.Today reported.
Helius Staking Infrastructure Delivers 5.35% Net Yield
BSOL's staking infrastructure is built in partnership with Helius hSOL$132.49+0.2%, which Bitwise describes in official fund documents as a "leading Solana staking provider." As of September 17, the fund was generating a gross staking reward rate of 5.69% and a net rate of 5.35% per the fund's official data page, with that yield passing to shareholders through NAV accretion rather than cash distributions.
The Helius partnership means BSOL shareholders receive ongoing validator economics on top of spot price exposure, a structural distinction from non-staking Solana products. September 18 also marked the day Solana activated 250ms slot times at epoch 1037, a network performance step that directly affects validator throughput for operators such as Helius.
Solana's Institutional ETF Market Approaches $1.7B in Cumulative Inflows
The broader institutional Solana ETF market has grown substantially alongside BSOL. Goldman Sachs holds approximately $90 million in spot Solana ETF positions, and cumulative inflows across all US spot Solana ETFs reached $1.7 billion as of late August, with BSOL accounting for roughly 80% of those inflows, Bitwise disclosed when the fund marked its one-year operational anniversary.
The September 18 session does not set a new volume record: the $108 million day in August remains the fund's high-water mark. At $1.14 billion in AUM, the approximately $85 million figure amounts to roughly 7.4% of net assets trading in a single session, which points to the liquidity depth the ETF has developed in the ten months since launch.
