US Spot Solana ETFs Log 12 Consecutive Weeks of Net Inflows, Accumulating $1.4B
US spot Solana ETFs hit their 12th straight week of net inflows, with $60.7M in the week ending Sep 18, as Bitcoin ETFs log their quietest week on record.
US spot Solana SOL$108.52-3.7% ETFs recorded net inflows in each of the past 12 weeks, according to CryptoBriefing, extending a streak that has drawn more than $1.4 billion into the category and pushed combined assets under management to approximately $1.62 billion. The week ending September 18 was the strongest in the run, producing $60.7 million in net inflows. Nearly $47.6 million of that arrived in a single session on Thursday.
Bitwise BSOL Claims 80% of Solana ETF Inflows With Built-In Staking Yield
Bitwise's BSOL has absorbed roughly 80% of net inflows across every US Solana ETF product since the category launched, per CryptoBriefing. As of September 18, BSOL held $1.145 billion in assets, representing 10.09 million SOL staked at 100% of the fund's holdings.
The income component is the differentiator. BSOL passes through SOL staking rewards to investors, using Helius hSOL$128.01-3.4% (Helius) as the staking infrastructure provider. The current net staking reward rate stands at 5.31% annually against a gross rate of 5.65%, per Bitwise's product disclosure; the difference reflects fees paid to Helius and Bitwise's operational costs. None of the other US Solana ETFs match this structure: Grayscale's GSOL, Fidelity's FSOL, VanEck's VSOL, and Morgan Stanley's MSOL all offer price exposure only.
BSOL launched on NYSE Arca on October 23, 2025, with Coinbase Custody Trust as digital asset custodian and a 0.20% sponsor fee. That fee is low relative to what staking-based structured products have historically charged.
A prior Compass article covered BSOL's $85 million trading session on September 18. The $47.6 million inflow that day is a separate figure: new capital entering the fund, not session trading volume.
With 80% of flows concentrating in a single staking product, the path for competing issuers runs through either matching the yield mechanism or introducing a differentiated product. Absent either, the gap between BSOL and the rest of the category will likely persist.
Bitcoin Spot ETFs Record Their Quietest Week Since October 2024
During the same week Solana ETFs pulled in $60.7 million, Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded just $6.1 million in net inflows, per CryptoBriefing. Trading volume across Bitcoin spot ETFs fell to its lowest full five-session weekly total since October 2024. The Bitcoin ETF category had already logged periods of sustained net outflows at points earlier in 2026.
Bitcoin's ETF asset base is substantially larger than Solana's, measured in hundreds of billions versus $1.62 billion. In the week ending September 18, Solana products attracted roughly 10 times the net capital that Bitcoin products did, from a base a fraction of the size. The 12-week streak also predates any comparable momentum in BTC ETF flows during this period.
SOL (SOL) was trading between $110 and $112 in mid-September, its highest level in approximately seven months, per CryptoBriefing. Compass covered the earlier $1.19 billion cumulative inflow milestone in late August, when BSOL's outsized market share was already apparent.
