Solana Summit Nigeria 2026: Zynta Reveals $300M Processed, Timon Hands Free Cards to Every Attendee
Zynta disclosed $300M+ processed for the first time; Timon gave every attendee a free card; Panta debuted its prediction market at Solana Summit Nigeria, Uyo.
Solana Summit Nigeria 2026 brought more than a hundred founders, developers, and builders to Uyo, Akwa Ibom on August 8 for the main-stage day of the three-day event. The official Solana account was live from the venue; sixteen Nigerian companies demonstrated products or took the stage. What distinguished this year was not just the scale of the lineup but the specificity of what got shared: business metrics, live product demos, and a mass hardware giveaway that put the ecosystem's infrastructure into direct contact with its users.
Zynta Finance Discloses $300M+ Processed for the First Time
Zynta Finance used its sponsored slot to publish numbers publicly for the first time. CPO Peace Audu-Ukpoju put the core problem on a slide: 54 different African regulatory regimes, and three-to-five-day settlement times that make the continent commercially inaccessible for businesses trying to enter compliantly. Zynta's answer is B2B stablecoin payment infrastructure built on Solana.
The metrics Zynta shared from the stage: $300M+ processed, $1.8M in revenue, 165 B2B clients. A Solana Incubator participant since 2025, those numbers make it one of the more substantive Solana-native fintech stories to come out of West Africa. Attendee and live reporter Opeyemi Bangkok described the talk as "the realest problem statement in African payments," noting that Zynta's business is explicitly about making Africa compliantly enterable for outside capital, not just serving local users.
Timon Hands a Free Physical Card to Every Attendee
Timon (a travel fintech that issues physical USD cards usable at Visa merchants in 120+ countries) partnered with Superteam to give every summit attendee a free card. Superteam Nigeria lead Harri Obi confirmed it from the stage: attendees who signed up with the discount code "Superteam" also received $10 credited to their account.
Attendee Silicon Ninjaa captured the moment from the floor: "I just got handed a @usetimon card for free at the Stablecoin summit." Timon's own account amplified multiple attendees showing their cards throughout the day. The distribution was a consumer-activation play at an audience of developers and founders capable of building integrations with the product. Timon's app supports direct bank and wallet transfers across Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and more than a dozen other African markets.
Panta Debuts as a Permissionless Prediction Market on Solana
Panta made its opening sponsored presentation at the summit through Growth Lead Toria Dickson, who walked the audience through prediction markets and Panta's approach to building them permissionlessly on Solana. The protocol lets anyone create and trade outcome markets, with creators earning a share of the activity their markets generate.
Panta launched in June 2026. The summit marked its first significant in-person engagement with the Nigerian Solana ecosystem — and by extension with a builder community that, by Q1 2026 data, is the sixth-largest Solana developer hub globally and the largest in Africa.
Roam Targets One Million Users with Its Global Dollar App
Roam's marketing and distribution lead Amaefule Prince Covenant presented the company's current direction: a "Global Dollar App" putting USD and NGN side by side in a single wallet, targeting one million users across Nigeria and Africa. Feature rollouts have been running since January 2026.
Roam is not new to this stage. A partnership with Superteam Nigeria announced in June 2026 already brought USDC, USDT, and PYUSD payment rails to West African freelancers and remote workers. The summit slot added a clearer consumer framing and a public user-growth target. Opeyemi Bangkok on the contrast between speakers: "Zynta wants to be the pipes for businesses. Roam wants your mum to have a dollar balance on her phone. Same rails, opposite ends of the stack."
Breet and Raenest Sell Solana Payment Infrastructure to Nigerian Fintechs
Breet's B2B development manager Demilade Olugbenga made the build-versus-buy case directly: every sprint a fintech spends building its own payment infrastructure is a sprint not spent improving the core product its users chose. Breet sells Solana-based stablecoin and crypto payment infrastructure to other fintechs and payment companies so they can skip the plumbing.
Raenest, which connects millions of Africans to global financial services, showed USDC sitting alongside USD and GBP in the same interface, not as a feature announcement but as a product reality. Lead designer Nathaniel Elvis framed it around enabling global payment access for African professionals. Opeyemi Bangkok's observation from the room: "When crypto stops announcing itself, it's won."
A Summit That Reflects Nigeria's Position in the Solana Ecosystem
The full speaker and sponsor lineup included Asset Base (Hisa and Risevest), Nomba, Raenest, Daya, Roqqu, GetEquity, Panta, Breet, Zynta, Timon, Bitnob, Roam, NectarFi, Airbills, Ofibox, and Rust Undead. Superteam Nigeria organized the three-day event at Ibom Hotels and Golf Resort in Uyo, Akwa Ibom; Harri Obi hosted the main stage. Approximately 95% of the companies presenting are locally based or regionally focused, according to Harri Obi, a figure that signals how much the ecosystem has built on its own terms.
Nigeria's position in the Solana ecosystem makes this density of product activity legible. Q1 2026 data shared by Superteam Nigeria placed the country first in Africa and sixth globally by Solana developer share, with the chapter directing more than $162,000 in grants, bounties, and Solana Foundation funding into the local economy in that quarter. Superteam's Nigeria chapter has expanded to 30 states and hosted 186 educational and networking events in the same period.
The closing beach mixer is scheduled for August 9.
