FOMO Overtakes GMGN to Lead All Trading Apps in 7-Day Revenue Across Blockchains
FOMO surpassed GMGN to top all trading apps by 7-day revenue per DeFiLlama, and posted a $1.39M weekly all-time high for the seven days ending July 16.
FOMO, the Solana-native social trading app, has overtaken GMGN (GMGN) to claim the top position among all trading apps by 7-day revenue across every blockchain, according to DeFiLlama data as of July 20. The current rolling window runs July 13โ20 and places FOMO ahead of GMGN, which earns trading fees across Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Base, and other networks.
The cross-chain ranking extends a progression covered on Compass. In early July, FOMO was ranking seventh among Solana protocols by daily revenue. By July 17, it had held third place among Solana protocols for a full week, trailing only Pump.fun (Pump.fun). Today's milestone moves the comparison frame beyond Solana entirely.
FOMO's $1.39M Weekly All-Time High and the GMGN Comparison
FOMO's revenue for the seven days ending July 16 totaled $1.39 million, per DeFiLlama's weekly data, its highest seven-day total on record, as CryptoBriefing reported. Approximately $1.34 million of that came from Solana DEX activity, with the remainder from builder code fees on Hyperliquid perpetual contracts opened by FOMO users.
The comparison with GMGN matters because the two apps operate on opposite structural models. GMGN is a multi-chain memecoin trading terminal, with fee revenue distributed across several chains. FOMO is Solana-native. A single-chain app generating more seven-day revenue than a multi-chain terminal is a cross-chain result the prior Solana-protocol rankings did not capture.
Revenue Sources: Self-Custodial Swaps and Hyperliquid Builder Fees
FOMO earns without a governance token or inflationary rewards, making protocol revenue a direct signal of transaction demand. Its two income streams are transaction fees on self-custodial swaps executed through the app and builder code fees on Hyperliquid perpetual positions. Both are usage-driven.
CryptoBriefing notes that in late 2025 FOMO's weekly revenue ran around $150,000, putting the $1.39 million figure for the week ending July 16 roughly nine times higher over about eight months.
$94M Raised, Series B Valuation Coming Into Focus
FOMO has raised $94 million across three rounds: a $2 million angel in February 2025, a $17 million Series A led by Benchmark in November 2025, and a $75 million Series B in June 2026 at a $550 million valuation, according to CryptoBriefing. At the current run-rate, CryptoBriefing notes the valuation begins to look like a conventional revenue multiple rather than a speculative one.
FOMO reports 625,000 accounts, $4 billion in cumulative trading volume since its mid-2025 launch, and more than 110 million social interactions, per CryptoBriefing.
