TypeX Keyboard

TypeX Keyboard launched in 2025 as a mobile keyboard application built on Solana, positioning itself as "the world's first crypto keyboard." The concept merged everyday smartphone typing with blockchain rewards: every 100 keystrokes earned users a randomised box containing anime-themed NFT KeyCards, which could be used to customise the keyboard's visual theme or traded for real money. The app featured over 10,000 collectible KeyCards spanning five rarity tiers — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Supreme — and supported social trading between users to complete collections. Distributed under the TypeX BongoCat Keyboard branding on both Google Play and the App Store, it was developed by Xyzer Technology Limited, a Hong Kong-based team.

The project entered the Solana ecosystem through Colosseum's Breakout Hackathon, the largest crypto hackathon at the time with more than 10,000 participants and 1,412 final project submissions. TypeX placed third in the Consumer track, where it was described by Colosseum as "a keyboard app that transforms user input value into onchain assets." That result earned the team a place in Colosseum Accelerator Cohort 3, a competitive eight-week programme offering online mentorship and in-person time in San Francisco, culminating in a private investor demo day. With fewer than ten spots available from a pool of over 1,400 hackathon entrants and an additional 61 submissions from Colosseum's Eternal challenge, the cohort acceptance rate was approximately 0.68%. TypeX received $250,000 in seed funding through the accelerator. Reported backers included Colosseum Ventures Capital, OKX Ventures, and Phantom.

A TYPEX token with a total supply of one billion units was deployed on the Solana network (contract address: DxWSCXMktH2qdPFWdHZEmzE225XujutGGuZZdwJRbonk). As of mid-2026, the token carried negligible market liquidity — roughly $6 in on-chain liquidity and a market capitalisation of a few thousand dollars — suggesting it remained in a very early or exploratory state and had not been the subject of a structured public token launch.

As of July 2026, the TypeX Keyboard project as a Solana-powered product appears to have been discontinued. The official website at typex.cc no longer resolves (NXDOMAIN). The mobile application developed by Xyzer Technology Limited has been rebranded on both iOS and Android to "Acti: Agentic Keyboard," an AI-powered productivity keyboard whose features — a hold-spacebar AI action layer, customisable skill keys, app and API integrations, and real-time voice dictation — make no reference to Solana, NFTs, or blockchain rewards. The @TypeXKeyboard social media account has published no new content in recent months. No official shutdown or wind-down announcement has been identified. The transition appears to represent a product pivot by the founding team from a blockchain-native consumer app toward mainstream AI productivity tooling, and the Solana keyboard concept has not been continued under any known successor product.
