Trust Wallet
Trust Wallet is a multi-platform self-custodial wallet supporting mobile and browser extension implementations across multiple blockchain networks. The wallet provides non-custodial asset management for millions of digital assets through locally-stored private keys, integrated swap functionality via aggregated liquidity sources, fiat on-ramp services through third-party payment providers, and native staking mechanisms for supported cryptocurrencies. The system includes dApp browser functionality for Web3 protocol interaction, NFT management across multiple chains, encrypted cloud backup options, transaction risk assessment prompts, and hardware wallet integration capabilities for enhanced security.
Trust Wallet
Trust Wallet is a free, self-custody cryptocurrency wallet that gives users sole control over their private keys and digital assets across more than 100 blockchain networks. Founded in 2017 and acquired by Binance in 2018, it has grown into one of the most widely used non-custodial wallets in the world, surpassing 220 million users by the end of 2025 and holding approximately 35% market share among monthly active self-custody wallet users.
Products and Availability
Trust Wallet is available as a mobile app on iOS and Android and as a browser extension for desktop users. The mobile app has earned a 4.7/5 rating on the Apple App Store (197,100+ reviews) and 4.6/5 on Google Play (2.5 million+ reviews). The browser extension supports Ledger hardware wallet integration for users who want an additional layer of physical security.
Core Features
The wallet's central premise is consolidation: one application managing assets across Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, Polygon, Avalanche, TON, Tron, and more than 100 additional blockchains, plus over 1,000 custom EVM-compatible chains. In total, it tracks more than 32 million individual assets and 600 million NFTs.
Within the app, users can:
- Buy and sell crypto via integrated third-party fiat on/off-ramp partners
- Swap tokens across chains — peak weekly swap volume in 2025 reached $390 million USD across 260,000+ weekly active traders
- Stake proof-of-stake assets including SOL, ETH (minimum 0.025 ETH via Kiln), BNB, and others
- Access DeFi through a built-in dApp browser
- Manage NFTs across Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Polygon, and other supported networks
- Trade perpetual futures with up to 200x leverage for eligible users
- Access tokenized real-world assets including U.S. stocks and ETFs trading 24/7 on BNB Chain
- Earn yield through Trust Wallet's Stablecoin Earn feature, which held $155 million+ in total value locked in 2025
In July 2026, Trust Wallet launched Trust Wallet AI (available in app version 26.28.4+), which lets users ask portfolio questions and assemble on-chain actions through a conversational interface while retaining full self-custodial control.
Solana Integration
Trust Wallet has natively supported Solana since the wallet's early days. Users can store, send, and receive SOL and SPL tokens, stake SOL directly within the app, and interact with Solana-based decentralized applications. In 2025, Trust Wallet rolled out MEV (maximal extractable value) protections specifically for Solana transactions, reducing user exposure to front-running and sandwich attacks. The Trust Wallet Token (TWT) is also available on Solana in addition to its primary issuance on BNB Chain.
Security
Trust Wallet operates on a strict non-custodial model: the company never stores private keys or recovery phrases, does not collect email addresses or IP addresses, and requires no account registration. Keys are encrypted on-device.
The platform holds ISO 27001 (Information Security Management) and ISO 27701 (Privacy Management) certifications and has been independently audited by CertiK, Halborn, Cure53, Kudelski Security, and Quantstamp. The team conducts over 30 audits annually covering both application and infrastructure. Recent audits include a Quantstamp ERC-4337 Paymaster review (March 2025) and a Halborn Smart Account Audit for swaps (April 2025).
Trust Wallet's in-app Security Scanner flagged over $191 million in potentially harmful transactions in 2025, helped recover $260,000 in stolen funds for users directly, and coordinated with exchanges to secure an additional $370,000. The wallet also supports biometric Touch ID login on the browser extension.
Independent reviews have documented a pattern of security incidents in the browser extension specifically, including a critical entropy vulnerability in 2023 (CVE-2023-31290) and a supply-chain compromise in December 2025 that drained approximately $8.5 million before the affected version was pulled. The mobile app has maintained a substantially cleaner security record than the extension over this period.
Developer Tools
Trust Wallet publishes several open tools for builders:
- Wallet Core: An open-source, cross-platform cryptographic library (MIT license) supporting 130+ blockchains with native bindings for iOS, Android, Go, and WebAssembly
- TrustConnect SDK: A free, open-source wallet connection SDK linking dApps to Trust Wallet across EVM, Solana, and Bitcoin with a modular React hooks API
- Agent SDK: Programmatic access to Trust Wallet's multichain infrastructure for AI agents, enabling balance queries, token prices, swaps, and transaction history via CLI and MCP server interfaces; the Agent Kit supports 30+ chains
Trust Wallet Token (TWT)
Launched in 2020, TWT is the native utility token of the Trust Wallet ecosystem. Holders can participate in governance votes — including decisions on which new blockchains to support — and access benefits such as trading discounts. TWT is issued on BNB Chain and is also available on Solana.
Ecosystem Programs
In 2025, Trust Wallet launched several community and builder-facing programs: Trust Premium (a loyalty program with XP and TWT staking), Trust Moon (a Web3 accelerator for early-stage builders), and Trust Alpha (a launch platform for new products). The Trust Squad community program recruited over 70 members and facilitated 50+ local meetups across markets including Vietnam, Brazil, Nigeria, India, Indonesia, and Turkey.
