Tiny Astro platform
NFT analytics platform offering rarity rankings, price tracking, market insights, and sniping tools for collectors and traders.
Photon
Photon is a trading terminal providing single-click execution for token snipes and sales on Solana and Ethereum networks. The system processes transactions with configurable priority fees and MEV protection while integrating with DeFi platforms for expanded trading pair access.
Tiny Astro
Tiny Astro is an NFT analytics and trading tools company that evolved from a rarity and sniping platform into one of Solana's most widely used token-trading interfaces. Founded in 2022 and incorporated in the British Virgin Islands, the company launched with a focus on giving NFT collectors real-time market intelligence, then pivoted decisively toward on-chain DEX trading on Solana under the Photon brand. Today the tinyastro.io domain serves both the original NFT analytics product and Photon, a browser-based trading platform that has processed tens of billions of dollars in volume.
Origins: NFT Analytics and Sniping
The project's first product was a web-based NFT analytics suite built around three problems that collectors faced: not knowing a token's rarity the moment a collection revealed, being too slow to buy underpriced listings, and lacking consolidated market intelligence across collections.
To fund development and build a core community, Tiny Astro launched the Tiny Astro Genesis NFT collection on Ethereum in July 2022. Holding a Genesis token granted full, free access to the Astro Analytics platform; non-holders could subscribe on monthly or quarterly plans to reach premium features. The Genesis collection minted at 0.095–0.18 ETH per token and has since traded at lower secondary prices, reflecting broader NFT market conditions after the 2022 downturn.
The analytics platform provided:
- Instant rarity reveal: as soon as a collection revealed metadata, Tiny Astro ranked every token by rarity and displayed real-time sales filtered by rarity tier, so collectors could identify underpriced pieces in the first seconds of a reveal.
- Real-time charting: live candlestick data for floor price, average sale price, volume, and sell walls for any tracked collection.
- Sniping and sweeping tools: a quick-buy module with custom gas settings let users place buy orders for specific tokens or sweep multiple listings at target prices, competing effectively in the short window between a listing appearing and being purchased by competitors.
- Price alerts: browser notifications triggered when a collection's floor crossed a user-defined threshold, allowing passive monitoring of multiple collections simultaneously.
- Trending discovery: a live feed of minting collections and rising-volume projects let users identify momentum before it became widely noticed.
The platform covered both Ethereum and Solana NFT markets, positioning itself as a cross-chain analytics layer for active collectors.
Expansion to Solana: Photon
In 2023, Tiny Astro launched Photon, a browser-based trading platform at photon-sol.tinyastro.io focused on Solana token discovery and execution. Where the original analytics product served NFT holders, Photon targeted spot traders in fungible tokens—particularly meme coins and newly launched tokens on Raydium, Pump.fun, and Jupiter.
Photon's core premise is speed. Rather than routing trades through public RPC endpoints, the platform uses private node infrastructure and routes time-sensitive transactions through Jito bundles, which compete for block space on Solana and reduce the window in which other actors can front-run or sandwich a trade. Users connect a non-custodial wallet (Phantom is the primary option), and the platform generates a dedicated trading wallet upon first login. The private key for this trading wallet is revealed once at setup; users must save it immediately. Deposits flow from a funding wallet into the Photon trading wallet, and withdrawals can be sent to any address.
Key features of Photon on Solana include:
- One-click preset trading: configurable SOL amount buttons (e.g., 0.1, 0.5, 1 SOL) allow rapid entry without manually entering amounts for each trade.
- Memescope: a customizable feed that surfaces newly launched tokens alongside metrics relevant to each user's strategy—price, market cap, holder distribution, and transaction patterns.
- Token safety signals: each token listing displays mint authority status and holder concentration data, giving traders a quick read on whether a contract poses obvious rug risk.
- Limit orders: users can place conditional buy or sell orders that execute automatically when a token reaches a target price.
- Dollar-cost averaging (DCA): automated recurring purchases at set intervals, with user-specified priority fees and MEV protection settings embedded in each DCA order.
- MEV protection: trades routed through Jito validators shield users from front-running and sandwich attacks, which are common on high-throughput chains where mempool visibility can be exploited.
- Real-time charting: live candlestick charts with volume overlays, color-coded transaction history distinguishing buys from sells, and wallet-level tracking.
Photon charges a flat 1% fee on every buy and sell transaction regardless of chain. Users also pay Solana network fees and can adjust priority fees (typically 0.001–0.01 SOL) to control transaction speed during congestion.
Scale and Integrations
Photon grew rapidly through 2023 and 2024. By available third-party data, the platform has drawn over 1.3 million registered users and processed more than $40 billion in Solana trading volume, making it one of the highest-volume interfaces on the network. Thousands of traders use the platform daily, according to MoonPay, which integrated its fiat on-ramp into Photon to let users buy SOL and ETH directly within the app using debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and bank transfers.
DeFi integrations include Raydium (AMM liquidity), Jupiter (swap aggregation), Pump.fun (meme coin launch platform), Meme.Live, Aerodrome, and others. This broad routing means Photon can surface and execute across most liquid Solana token markets from a single interface.
Following the Solana launch, Tiny Astro expanded Photon to additional chains: Ethereum in early 2024, then Blast, Base, and Tron by late 2024. Each chain operates on its own subdomain (e.g., photon-bnb.tinyastro.io for BNB Chain), with the same fee structure and interface conventions.
Team and Structure
Tiny Astro Inc. is incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. The team has not made extensive public disclosures about individual members. The project's X presence migrated from the original @tinyastroNFT handle to @tradewithPhoton, reflecting the brand shift toward the trading platform as the company's primary public identity.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
Tiny Astro occupies a distinct position in the Solana ecosystem as both a legacy NFT analytics provider and a major fungible token trading interface. Its NFT analytics roots gave it early credibility with on-chain power users; Photon translated that user relationship into a high-volume DEX trading layer. The platform competes with Telegram-based trading bots but differentiates through a browser-first interface with integrated charting, safety signals, and on-ramp capabilities—removing friction for users who prefer not to manage bot configurations. Its MEV protection via Jito and private node routing address real execution-quality concerns specific to Solana's high-speed, high-competition block environment.
