Tokenized Shares of Drone Maker Powerus (PUSA) Go Live on Solana via Backpack Securities, a Day After Its Merger Closed
Backpack Securities issued tokenized Powerus (PUSA) shares on Solana via Sunrise on Oct 2, a day after the drone maker's merger with Aureus Greenway closed.
Tokenized shares of Powerus Corporation (Nasdaq: PUSA), a U.S. maker of autonomous drones and counter-drone interceptors, went live on Solana on 2 October 2026. Backpack's brokerage arm, Backpack Securities, issued the token, and Sunrise listed it at 14:56 UTC. The listing came one day after Powerus completed its merger with Nasdaq-listed Aureus Greenway Holdings, which took the Powerus name and kept the PUSA ticker.
Each token is redeemable 1:1 for a Powerus Corporation share and transferable to traditional brokerages, according to Backpack's announcement. Solana's official account posted the listing about ten minutes later, and Backpack CEO Armani Ferrante wrote on X that PUSA did 2.34M in volume in its first six minutes. Ferrante did not cite a data source for the figure.
How tokenized PUSA works on Solana
Tokenized PUSA is a Solana token that Backpack Securities issues against real Powerus shares, so a holder can swap it back for the stock or move the position to an ordinary brokerage account. Sunrise and Backpack both published the same mint address, PUSAG1stksTcAoK9MjinEHUwAYRJsbovywYCk37m6hy, with Sunrise calling it "the canonical PUSA on Solana" and Backpack adding "Verify before you trade."
That warning has a practical reason. Anyone can create a Solana token called PUSA, and a ticker that has just appeared in the news is an easy target for copycats. The mint address is the only reliable identifier. The genuine PUSA mint also has an adjustable supply and issuer controls. Solana Compass token data shows it retains both a mint authority and a freeze authority, so new PUSA can be minted and individual token accounts can be frozen.
The token trades around the clock on Solana, while the underlying shares trade on Nasdaq during U.S. market hours. Solana listed Jupiter JUP$0.315-1.7%, Raydium RAY$1.89+2.0%, Phantom CASH$1.0000.0%, DFlow, Titan, Fomo, Archer, Mayan and Kamino Finance KMNO$0.040-1.7%'s swap among the apps where PUSA is available at launch.
Trading was still brisk half an hour after the listing. Our PUSA token data counted about 640 holder wallets at 15:27 UTC on 2 October, and 1,206 trades worth roughly $108,000 from 614 unique trading addresses in the five minutes to that time.
Access to Backpack Securities itself is restricted. Its support documentation says the service is not available in the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates or Japan, is not offered on Backpack EU, and requires a verified account in a supported region. A U.S. defense contractor's tokenized stock is therefore one that Backpack Securities does not offer to U.S. residents.
What Powerus Corporation builds and how the Aureus Greenway merger worked
Powerus builds autonomous systems for high-risk environments, spanning heavy-lift platforms, autonomous air and maritime systems, mission systems and U.S.-based manufacturing, according to the company's merger announcement. The same release cites a U.S. Air Force IDIQ contract (a framework contract with a spending ceiling rather than a fixed order) for its Guardian-2 counter-drone interceptor worth up to $90 million through mid-2028, and a $2.5 million Department of Defense order for 1,500 FPV aircraft.
The merger closed on 1 October 2026, according to Powerus Corporation's Form 8-K filing. Powerus merged into a new Aureus Greenway subsidiary, Aureus Greenway renamed itself Powerus Corporation, and legacy Powerus stockholders now hold about 93% of the combined company's voting power, per the filing. Andrew Fox is chief executive and co-founder Brett Velicovich is president.
"Completing this transaction puts Powerus in a position to build at the scale our customers are asking for," Fox said in the release. The PUSA ticker predates the deal, so 2 October was not a market debut: the shares already traded on Nasdaq under Aureus Greenway, and the release says they "continue to trade" under PUSA.
Backpack and Sunrise keep adding tokenized stocks on Solana
PUSA is the latest in a run of Backpack Securities issues listed through Sunrise. In September alone the pair brought Forward Industries' FWDI stock, Cypherpunk Technologies' CYPH and the Global X COPX copper miners ETF on chain, each on the same 1:1 redemption model.
Forward Industries runs a SOL treasury. Powerus has no stated crypto business, and its merger release does not mention tokenization, which makes PUSA a test of whether on-chain demand extends to small-cap defense names.
The audience on Solana has grown fast. Solana's official account said tokenized equities on the network reached 1.2 million holders, with 775,000 joining in September, a figure consistent with the Token Terminal count in our September network activity report.
