Revoke freeze authority on Solana

Permanently remove the freeze authority from your SPL token so no holder's account can ever be frozen. Paste your mint address, connect your wallet, and sign one transaction — non-custodial, no code.

  • Sets the freeze authority to null (SetAuthority FreezeAccount → null)
  • Guarantees no holder can be frozen out of their tokens
  • One transaction, signed in your own wallet
  • The on-chain equivalent of spl-token authorize <MINT> freeze --disable

What the freeze authority is, and why revoke it

Every SPL token can carry a freeze authority: an address permitted to freeze any holder's token account so they can no longer transfer or sell. On a token meant to trade freely, leaving that power in the creator's hands is a liability — it means holders can be locked out of their own balances at any time. Revoking it issues a SetAuthority instruction setting the freeze authority to null, permanently removing the ability for anyone to freeze accounts.

This tool revokes only the freeze authority on the mint you paste, in a single transaction you sign yourself. It is the graphical equivalent of spl-token authorize <MINT> freeze --disable and never touches anything else about your token.

Freeze authority vs mint authority vs liquidity

Buyers and token scanners check several switches independently, and revoking one does not cover the others:

  • Freeze authority — can holders be frozen? This tool sets it to null.
  • Mint authority — can more supply be created? Revoke it with the revoke mint authority tool.
  • Liquidity — can the pool be pulled? Lock or burn the LP.
This is permanent. Once the freeze authority is null it cannot be restored. Only keep it if your token genuinely needs freeze control for compliance.

Revoke freeze authority: FAQ

How do I revoke freeze authority on Solana?

Paste your token mint address, connect the wallet holding the freeze authority, and sign one transaction. The tool sets the freeze authority to null so no account can ever be frozen.

Can I undo it?

No. Setting the freeze authority to null is permanent and cannot be reversed.

Should every token revoke freeze authority?

For a freely-tradable token, yes — an active freeze authority is a red flag. The exception is a token that needs freeze control for compliance.

What does it cost?

A small service fee plus the Solana network fee, charged only when the revoke succeeds. We don't keep the fee — see how this tool's fees benefit compassSOL stakers.
