Meteora Opens Token Launches Paired with Backpack-Issued Stocks via StockLaunch
Meteora's DBC now supports Backpack tokenized stocks as quote assets for new launches, routing trading fees to token holders as fractional equity exposure.
Meteora MET$0.196-4.3% announced on September 15 that its Dynamic Bonding Curve now supports stock-paired token launches, enabling anyone on Solana to create a token whose bonding-curve market uses a Backpack Securities-issued equity as its quote asset. The first platform built on the capability, StockLaunch, went live with the announcement and lists twenty Backpack-issued stocks as available quote assets, including Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, Amazon, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Meta.
Backpack supplies the underlying tokenized securities. Each is a DeFi-compatible token on Solana, redeemable 1:1 for the corresponding share through Backpack Securities and tradeable 24/7 on crypto rails.
How StockLaunch's Bonding Curve Works
StockLaunch is a launchpad built on top of Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve. When a creator deploys a token through StockLaunch, they select one of the twenty supported Backpack equities as the quote asset instead of USDC or SOL. Price follows a deterministic supply function, with no order book to seed and no separate liquidity round at launch.
Creators can configure trading fees from 0% to 50%. Those fees accumulate in a reward vault denominated in the chosen stock token and are distributed to holders on a time-weighted basis: accrual runs on balance multiplied by seconds held, so the vault rewards sustained conviction rather than a snapshot. A token holder sitting in an NVDA-paired launch pool earns Nvidia stock as yield on every trade, in proportion to how long they held and how much.
When trading volume pushes the pool to its migration threshold, Meteora's automated Migration Keepers graduate the pair from the bonding curve into a standard AMM pool.
DBC Migration Keepers Extended to Stock Token Pairs
On September 16, Meteora confirmed that its mainnet Migration Keepers, two automated bots that graduate eligible DBC pools without manual intervention, now handle stock token quote pairs. A pool becomes eligible for automatic graduation when the stock token value reaches at least $750 equivalent in the quote token.
The keepers also graduate pools where the quote token is Jupiter-verified with an organic score above 50 and notional value above $750, extending the same automation to a broader set of verified quote assets beyond the predefined list. Both updates are documented in Meteora's DBC migration documentation.
Twenty Backpack Equities Available as Quote Assets
Backpack Securities has built out its tokenized stock catalog through 2025 and into 2026. When SpaceX listed on Nasdaq in June, SPCX launched the same day and drew $1.04 billion in weekly on-chain trading volume across Solana; it now carries 28,687 holders on the network. On September 10, Backpack added twenty more equities, bringing the catalog into the low thirties and the total tokenized equity supply on Solana to $465 million by late August, per Crypto Briefing.
StockLaunch at launch supports twenty of those equities as quote assets, covering the major US tech names and SpaceX.
Stock-Paired DBC Markets: Equity Fees Instead of Stablecoin Yield
The standard DBC configuration uses USDC or SOL as the quote asset, so all trading fees flow back as stablecoin or SOL yield. Pairing against a stock token routes those fees into equity exposure instead: holders of a stock-paired launch token accumulate fractional equity as trading occurs rather than receiving a stablecoin.
For creators, this opens a channel that didn't exist before: a token whose secondary market activity directly funds equity positions for its community, without a separate brokerage integration or custody arrangement. The platform retains no share of the fee stream by default.
Backpack Securities' equity tokens now carry a second function on Solana: the quote asset for bonding-curve markets, a structural role that USDC and SOL have long held alone.
