ELLIPAL Titan 2.0
ELLIPAL Titan is a hardware wallet that secures digital assets through complete air-gap isolation, using QR codes for offline transaction signing.
Ellipal Mobile App
Ellipal Mobile App lets users manage cryptocurrencies, connect to dApps, and execute transactions in conjunction with the Titan hardware wallet.
ELLIPAL
ELLIPAL is a Hong Kong-based hardware wallet company founded in 2018 that builds cold storage devices around a single defining constraint: the signing path is permanently offline, and transaction data crosses between the phone app and the device only as QR codes scanned by the camera. There is no USB data channel, no Bluetooth radio, no Wi-Fi, no NFC for signing — by design and construction rather than by policy alone.
The Problem It Solves
Most hardware wallets reduce the attack surface without eliminating the wired or wireless data channel between the signing device and an internet-connected host. ELLIPAL's air-gapped design eliminates that channel entirely: the device never sees the internet, never connects to a host computer, and cannot be reached by any remote attacker.
How It Works
The workflow pairs the ELLIPAL hardware device with a companion mobile app. A user initiates a transaction in the app; the app generates a QR code encoding the unsigned transaction. The device camera scans the QR code, decodes the transaction, and displays full details on screen. After the user confirms on-device, the device generates a signed-transaction QR code, which the app camera scans to broadcast to the network. The private key leaves the device in no form at any point.
Product Lineup
The ELLIPAL Titan 2.0 ($149–$169) is the flagship cold storage device. It features a 4-inch IPS laminated touchscreen, a fully metal-sealed body, a CC EAL5+ certified secure element, and a hardware-based TRNG for seed generation. Firmware updates are delivered via microSD card, keeping that process offline.
The ELLIPAL X Card ($59–$133.90) is a newer NFC-based card form factor for portability.
The ELLIPAL Seed Phrase Steel is a metal backup plate for engraving a BIP39 recovery phrase.
Solana Support
ELLIPAL explicitly supports Solana (SOL) and the full SPL token standard. Users can store, send, and receive SOL and SPL tokens through the ELLIPAL mobile app paired with the Titan 2.0. The app supports Web3 connectivity for DeFi protocols, NFTs, and gaming dApps. Total coverage runs to 45+ blockchains and 10,000+ tokens.
Security Posture
The CC EAL5+ secure element certification covers the chip's tamper resistance and key isolation. In 2019, Ledger's Donjon security research team identified multiple vulnerabilities in ELLIPAL's earlier EC01 model. ELLIPAL subsequently redesigned its hardware with the Titan series removing the USB data path entirely. No public third-party security audit of the Titan 2.0 has been published as of mid-2026.
Company and Scale
ELLIPAL has operated since 2018 and by 2024 reported crossing one million users across more than 140 countries. Its mobile app holds a 4.7/5 rating on the iOS App Store and a 4.6/5 rating on Amazon.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
ELLIPAL sits at the cold storage end of the Solana custody spectrum. It is not a browser wallet or staking interface, but a device for users who want SOL and SPL assets held with private keys permanently offline. The QR-based signing flow is compatible with Solana's transaction model and allows dApp participation through the companion app without key material ever touching an internet-connected device.
