Crowny App
The Crowny App rewards users for engaging with targeted brand content like ads and surveys, allowing them to earn and redeem digital rewards within the app.
Crowny
Crowny is an app-powered Web3 loyalty and rewards platform built on the Solana blockchain, designed to help e-commerce brands retain customers through structured loyalty programs and verified social engagement incentives. Based in Nieuw-Vennep, Noord-Holland, Netherlands, and building since 2020, Crowny sits at the intersection of consumer loyalty mechanics, social media marketing, and blockchain token rewards.
Origin and Solana Foundation
Crowny began development in 2020 and entered the market in 2021 as one of the early movers on Solana, at a time when the network was establishing itself as the home for consumer-facing Web3 applications. The team chose Solana specifically for its speed and low per-transaction costs, which make microtransaction-style reward distributions economically viable — a prerequisite for any platform that needs to reward customers for individual social posts or incremental purchases.
The project received early ecosystem grants from Solana Foundation, giving it both funding and visibility within the broader Solana community during its formative period.
Crowny's native token, $CRWNY, originally launched as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum before being migrated to a Solana native token in 2022. The migration was paired with a token burn event on April 21, 2022 — the CRWNY token's one-year anniversary — which reduced total supply as part of a long-term tokenomics adjustment. The Solana contract address for CRWNY is CRWNYkqdgvhGGae9CKfNka58j6QQkaD5bLhKXvUYqnc1.
Platform Architecture
Crowny's merchant toolkit runs on three connected tools:
Crowny Portal — the merchant-facing admin dashboard for designing loyalty programs, setting earning rules, configuring tiers, running promotions, and viewing real-time loyalty analytics.
Crowny Web App — the customer-facing interface where shoppers sign up, track points, browse earning opportunities, and redeem rewards.
Crowny Companion App — an in-store POS companion that enables physical retail earning and redemption via QR code scanning at checkout.
This omnichannel architecture means a single loyalty program can span both online Shopify purchases and in-person retail interactions, giving brands a unified picture of customer behavior regardless of where a transaction originates.
Loyalty Module
The core loyalty module lets merchants build tiered membership programs with configurable earning rules. Customers accumulate points — called YBP within the platform — through a range of actions: purchases, referrals, content engagement, birthday milestones, and community participation. These points can be redeemed for discounts, cashback, free products, exclusive access, or custom merchant-defined rewards.
The tiered structure allows brands to build VIP-style programs where customers unlock progressively better rewards as their engagement deepens. Automated mechanics — welcome bonuses, birthday rewards, and branded loyalty cards — reduce the operational overhead on merchants while maintaining a personalized customer experience. Integrated email campaigns can be triggered by loyalty events, keeping customers informed of their point balance and upcoming redemption opportunities.
Crowny reports the following outcomes for brands using its loyalty module: 2.4x higher purchase frequency among participating customers, a 48% increase in customer lifetime value, and a 56% increase in revenue from returning shoppers.
Social Media Module
One of Crowny's most distinctive features is its Meta-verified social engagement module. Rather than rewarding a customer who simply clicks a button claiming they posted about a brand, Crowny integrates directly with Meta's API to verify that authentic actions — comments, hashtags, and mentions on Facebook and Instagram — actually occurred before any reward is issued.
This verification layer addresses a fundamental problem with social loyalty programs: fraudulent claims from users who never completed the action being rewarded. By requiring Meta confirmation prior to reward issuance, Crowny ensures that brands pay only for genuine engagement and that the reward system remains defensible at scale. Rewards are issued instantly once Meta confirms the action.
The social media module received formal approval from Meta to access and verify engagement data. This API-level integration is a meaningful compliance milestone that distinguishes Crowny from competitors who rely on self-reported engagement or honor-system tracking.
CRWNY Token
The $CRWNY token serves as the blockchain reward layer on top of the platform's brand-specific loyalty points. Users earn both YBP (brand-specific, non-transferable loyalty points) and CRWNY tokens for engaging with participating brands. CRWNY can be held in a digital wallet, used to purchase products within the ecosystem, or converted to fiat — giving users flexibility in how they extract value from their engagement activity.
The dual-reward structure is intentional: YBP creates brand-specific stickiness, while CRWNY adds a portable, blockchain-native reward that users carry across multiple brand programs.
As of mid-2026, CRWNY has a circulating supply of approximately 462 million tokens against a total supply of 813 million. The token reached an all-time high of $0.1841 in April 2021, in the same period Solana ecosystem tokens broadly peaked, and has traded significantly below that level since. Current market capitalization is approximately $157,000 with roughly 1,450 on-chain holders.
Shopify Integration and Pricing
Crowny launched its formal Shopify app on December 19, 2025, bringing a structured App Store presence to a platform it had been developing since 2020. The Shopify integration is central to Crowny's distribution strategy: Shopify accounts for an estimated 10% of global e-commerce, giving the platform direct access to a large base of merchants already accustomed to installing app-store tools.
Pricing runs on four subscription tiers:
- Free: $0 per month, covering up to 100 orders
- Starter: $15 per month, covering up to 200 orders
- Essential: $49 per month, covering up to 500 orders
- Growth: $119 per month, covering up to 1,500 orders
Orders beyond each plan's included count are billed at $0.10 per order. Paid plans offer 7 to 14 day free trials.
Early merchant reviews have been positive. A U.S.-based Shopify merchant reviewing the app in April 2026 described it as "the first loyalty program I have found that meets all the needs of my store, and is built for future scalability," specifically noting that the founding team made themselves available for personalized onboarding calls. The platform carries a 5.0 rating on the Shopify App Store.
Positioning
The loyalty platform market expanded considerably in the years after Crowny's founding, with a wave of competitors launching loyalty apps for Shopify and other e-commerce platforms. Crowny's positioning rests on two technical differentiators: its Solana-native CRWNY token rewards, which are portable across brand programs unlike siloed points systems, and its Meta-verified social engagement module, which most competing Shopify loyalty apps do not offer.
The team has funded development from its own capital since 2020, maintaining continuity through multiple cycles of industry activity and consolidation. Crowny's January 2026 retrospective blog post acknowledged the volatility directly: "Teams came and went. Products launched, pivoted, and disappeared. We stayed focused. We kept investing our own capital and continued building." The Shopify app launch in late 2025 and Meta API approval represent the platform reaching a commercially deployable state after its development period.
