Securitize Launches Securitize Stocks on Solana: 12 U.S. Equities as 1:1-Backed Security Entitlements
Securitize Stocks launches on Solana with 12 equities, including Apple, Nvidia and Tesla, as 1:1-backed security entitlements. NYSE and OKXICE venues pending.
Securitize announced the launch of Securitize Stocks on 8 October 2026: tokens on Solana that are each backed one for one by a share of a U.S.-listed company and structured as security entitlements under UCC Article 8. According to Securitize's release, the tokens will initially launch on Solana and trade on Securitize's registered broker-dealer platform, with transactions settling in USDC.
The initial offering covers 12 tickers: Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT), Nvidia (NVDA), Alphabet (GOOG), Tesla (TSLA), Meta (META), Amazon (AMZN), Netflix (NFLX), Circle (CRCL), SpaceX (SPCX), Strategy (MSTR) and Palantir (PLTR). Securitize says the tokens will be available to eligible investors in the United States, the European Union and other permitted jurisdictions.
Securitize also expects the tokens to trade on a 24/7 digital venue the New York Stock Exchange is developing and on the OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue. Neither venue has launched, and the release says trading on them is subject to regulatory approval and may not occur.
What a Securitize Stocks holder owns: a security entitlement under UCC Article 8
A Securitize Stocks token is a claim on a share held through Securitize's brokerage, and it does not put the holder on the company's shareholder register. The release's disclosures say the tokens "are security entitlements held through Securitize Markets, LLC" and that holders "are not registered shareholders of the underlying issuer unless they convert."
"Security entitlement" is a term from the Uniform Commercial Code, the set of commercial laws adopted by U.S. states. UCC Article 8 defines it as "the rights and property interest of an entitlement holder with respect to a financial asset", where the entitlement holder is the person named in the records of a securities intermediary such as a broker. It is the legal form in which investors hold stock through a brokerage account. Securitize is putting that position on a blockchain as a token.
Securitize says each token preserves the rights and economic benefits of the underlying share, including dividends and, where the underlying share class carries them, voting rights. The shares backing the tokens will not be lent out. Securitize Markets is a member of FINRA and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation, and a separate entity, Securitize Europe Brokerage and Markets, offers the tokens in the European Union.
CoinDesk described the structure the same way, reporting that the tokens are security entitlements and do not give direct ownership on a company's shareholder register.
Convertible entitlement tokens: the route from a brokerage claim to registered shares
Securitize calls the structure a convertible entitlement token, or CET. When a company adopts issuer-sponsored tokenization, meaning the company itself agrees to record its shares on a blockchain, holders can convert their entitlements "into actual shares recorded on the company's register" through Securitize's partnerships with transfer agents, according to the release.
That conversion depends on the companies. The release describes the tokens as convertible "where available", and its disclosures state that "the issuers of the underlying securities have not sponsored or endorsed Securitize Stocks." Securitize does not name any of the 12 companies as having adopted issuer-sponsored tokenization.
Carlos Domingo, Securitize's chairman and CEO, framed the product against tokens that only follow a share price. "Tokenized stocks should give investors more than a price on a wrapper that tracks a stock and is only offered offshore," Domingo said in the release, adding that Securitize Stocks are "a bridge to a future where issuers themselves can participate directly in tokenization." The comparison comes from a competitor: Securitize is selling against existing tokenized-stock issuers, and the release names none of them.
Securitize has been building toward that issuer-sponsored model. Securitize tokenized its own NYSE-listed stock on Solana when it listed in July 2026, and in August 2026 it partnered with Currenc to help other listed companies tokenize their shares. The release says Securitize Stocks will trade alongside issuer-sponsored tokenized equities, including Securitize's own SECZ.
Jump Trading, USDC settlement and extended-hours trading on the Solana PropAMM
At launch, Securitize Stocks will be available through Securitize's existing Solana PropAMM, with Jump Trading serving as a market maker, according to the release. A PropAMM, short for proprietary automated market maker, is an onchain trading venue where a professional firm posts the prices, in place of a public pool that prices trades by formula. Trades settle in USDC, the dollar stablecoin.
Trading will initially be available during extended U.S. market hours, and Securitize says it plans to move toward 24/7 availability. Access is subject to onboarding, identity and anti-money-laundering checks, jurisdictional eligibility and securities laws.
"PropAMMs on Solana have demonstrated that onchain markets can deliver tight spreads, deep liquidity and transparent price discovery at significant scale," a Jump spokesperson said in the release.
Securitize said it selected Solana as the launch network, and Nick Ducoff, the Solana Foundation's general manager for institutional, said the product shows "what becomes possible when real securities and shareholder rights are combined with fast, efficient blockchain infrastructure."
Other named firms have looser roles. Michael Sanocki, CEO of RQD, is quoted on the clearing, custody and settlement infrastructure behind the product. Ripple Prime "plans to support the launch" and explore adding the assets to its institutional trading business. Aave founder Stani Kulechov is quoted on the "potential" for lending and collateral uses, and Securitize says the tokens are designed to support such markets "over time". The release does not announce a live Ripple Prime or Aave integration.
One Solana name is absent. When Securitize first outlined regulated onchain stock trading in May 2026, The Block reported that Jupiter JUP$0.340+7.9% would provide retail and institutional access through its swap interface. The 8 October release does not mention Jupiter.
NYSE's 24/7 venue and the OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue are still pending
Trading on Securitize's own platform is the only venue in the launch. The release says Securitize Stocks are "expected to trade" on the NYSE's planned 24/7 digital trading venue, "subject to the venue's launch and applicable regulatory and operational requirements."
The OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue is a project combining OKX xBTC$80,842.64-3.0%'s blockchain technology with Intercontinental Exchange, the NYSE's parent company. Tokenized Securities Venues are the category set out in the SEC's Innovation Exemption, which the Securities and Exchange Commission issued on 17 September 2026. That exemption lets such venues trade tokenized exchange-listed stock in a permissioned environment, and it expires after five years.
Issuers get a say there. The SEC's announcement says a venue must give the issuer written notice and an opportunity to object before it lists a stock tokenized by an unaffiliated third party. Securitize's disclosures say the tokens "may be available on TSVs subject to eligibility, issuer review and operational requirements." Securitize says secondary trading on its own platform runs through its broker-dealer "without the need for exemptions."
Fees, eligibility criteria and per-ticker timing are not in the release
Securitize's release leaves several practical questions open. The term "eligible investors" is not defined, so the release does not say whether retail investors qualify or whether access is limited to accredited or institutional buyers. No fees or minimum trade sizes are given. All 12 tickers are listed as the initial offering, with no statement of which are tradable on the first day. Tokenized Apple, Nvidia and SpaceX already trade on Solana through xStocks and Backpack
Securitize is entering a market that already exists on Solana. Solana Compass token data shows xStocks AAPLx$338.96+1.0% tokens for all 12 companies on Securitize's list. Backpack Securities, which listed tokenized BlackRock stock on Solana on 2 October 2026, issues SpaceX and Strategy tokens, and Ondo USDY$1.150.0% issues tokenized Apple and Nvidia.
Those tokens have been gaining holders. The number of Solana wallets holding the xStocks Apple token, AAPLx, rose from about 15,400 on 11 July 2026 to about 43,000 on 8 October 2026, according to Solana Compass data. This figure covers the xStocks token only. Securitize Stocks tokens do not yet appear in our data.
Wallets holding the xStocks Apple token on Solana rose from about 15,400 to about 43,000 between 11 July and 8 October 2026. This is the xStocks token, not Securitize Stocks.
View on Solana Compass โWhat Securitize Stocks adds to that market is a different legal form: a registered U.S. broker-dealer standing behind the token, the same kind of claim a brokerage customer has, and a route to registered shares if issuers agree. Holder counts and trading volume for the Securitize tokens will be measurable onchain in the same way once they trade.
