Tokenized equity supply on Solana reached $465 million this week per CryptoBriefing, as Raydium RAY$0.724+5.4% announced it had crossed $4 billion in cumulative tokenized stock trading volume and two major pharmaceutical companies joined the network's growing on-chain equity catalog.

The stretch from August 19 to 21 brought more concurrent tokenization activity than most months. Sunrise listed Eli Lilly and Moderna shares on Solana via Backpack. Securitize made its NYSE-listed stock available as loan collateral on Loopscale. And Raydium RAY$0.724+5.4% crossed the $4B cumulative mark on a network where approximately 95% of all global decentralized tokenized-equity spot volume now clears, per CryptoBriefing.

Raydium Crosses $4 Billion in Cumulative Tokenized Stock Volume

Raydium RAY$0.724+5.4% announced on August 19 that its cumulative tokenized stock trading volume on Solana had crossed $4 billion. "Raydium has crossed $4 billion in cumulative tokenized stock volume on Solana," the protocol wrote in its official announcement.

As we covered in June, Raydium crossed the $3 billion threshold on June 27, and the last billion at that point had arrived in roughly one month. The $4B milestone came approximately seven weeks later. The pace has not compressed further, but it has held.

Raydium operates alongside Jupiter JUP$0.201+6.6% as one of the two primary decentralized venues for tokenized equity trading on Solana. Both function as open AMMs where tokenized stock tokens settle the same way any other SPL token does, with no special infrastructure required on the trading side. The equity-specific work happens upstream: issuing the token with a claim on a real share held in regulated custody.

Eli Lilly and Moderna List on Solana via Sunrise and Backpack Securities

Two pharmaceutical stocks listed on Solana on August 20 via Sunrise and Backpack. LLYx (Eli Lilly, ticker: LLY) and MRNA (Moderna, ticker: MRNA) are now tradeable 24/7 on decentralized venues including Raydium and Jupiter, issued by Backpack Securities and routed through Sunrise's liquidity gateway.

Eli Lilly is the pharmaceutical company behind the GLP-1 drugs Mounjaro and Zepbound, which drove the company to one of the largest market capitalizations of any corporation globally. Raydium described the listing directly: "$LLY is live on Raydium. Eli Lilly is the pharma giant behind the GLP-1 boom, home to Mounjaro, Zepbound, and a pipeline spanning Alzheimer's, oncology, and next-generation obesity treatments. Now live on Solana via @Sunrise, issued by @Backpack Securities."

Moderna (MRNA) listed alongside LLY, adding the mRNA vaccine developer to Backpack's catalog and marking the pair's first pharmaceutical additions since the platform launched with SpaceX (SPCX) in June. LLYx had accumulated 337 on-chain holders and a $18.4 million market cap within its first 24 hours of trading on Solana, per Solana Compass data.

Backpack Securities has assembled an equity catalog by targeting high-activity names rather than broad coverage. Its lineup currently includes SpaceX (SPCX), MUx (Micron, listed June 22), SanDisk (SNDK), Take-Two Interactive (TTWO), the Roundhill Memory ETF (DRAM), Eli Lilly, and Moderna. Each token is redeemable 1:1 for the underlying share through Backpack's brokerage infrastructure, with two-way conversion between the tokenized and traditional forms, per Backpack's official documentation.

Despite holding approximately 5% of total tokenized equity supply on Solana (the broader xStocks catalog covers more than 700 equities), Backpack-issued stocks generate roughly 50% of weekly trading volume, per CryptoBriefing. High-profile names with active retail and institutional followings trade at multiples of what their supply share would suggest.

Securitize SECZ Shares Enable On-Chain Borrowing via Loopscale

Securitize integrated its NYSE-listed stock (ticker: SECZ) with Loopscale on August 20, opening a borrowing window for eligible tokenized SECZ holders. Those who hold tokenized SECZ can post it as collateral and borrow USDC at fixed rates through Loopscale, without selling their equity position.

Securitize listed on the NYSE on July 2, 2026, simultaneously tokenizing $266 million worth of its own stock on Solana and Avalanche, per CoinDesk's reporting at the time. The tokenized SECZ maintains the same shareholder rights as the NYSE-listed common stock and is tracked through Securitize's SEC-registered transfer agent infrastructure, per the CryptoTimes report on the Loopscale integration.

The integration adds a composability layer that has been uncommon for tokenized public company equities. Most tokenized stocks on Solana function primarily as trading instruments; SECZ on Loopscale can now serve as fixed-rate credit market collateral while remaining in position. Access is subject to eligibility requirements and applicable regulatory frameworks.

Two days before the Loopscale integration went live, Securitize had also launched a tokenized high-yield fund with Neuberger Berman, widening the set of Securitize-issued assets available in Solana DeFi.

From Trading Venue to DeFi Collateral: What This Week Signals

The $465M supply figure tracks the aggregate value of tokenized stock tokens currently held on-chain, a metric that moves with underlying stock prices and the pace of new issuance, distinct from cumulative trading volume.

Solana logged $10 billion in tokenized stock volume in June alone, capturing roughly 95% of global on-chain equity trading for the month. The August week adds new supply and new utility to that base.

The Securitize/Loopscale integration points toward a shift in how tokenized equities function on the network. Earlier this month, we covered how Kamino's share of on-chain RWA lending climbed from 2% to 18% since October, a sign that tokenized assets are migrating from trading into the DeFi credit stack. SECZ on Loopscale applies the same pattern to a tokenized public company stock rather than a tokenized fund.

The practical constraints remain: both holding tokenized equities and using them as DeFi collateral are governed by eligibility requirements and regulatory frameworks that differ by issuer and platform. Backpack Securities and xStocks, the two primary equity issuers on Solana, operate under different licensing structures with different geographic restrictions.

What the week from August 19 to 21 demonstrated is that Solana's tokenized equity market is building depth on two fronts simultaneously: new listings expanding supply, and new infrastructure putting that supply to work as DeFi collateral.
