Valannia
Valannia is a medieval fantasy strategy MMO built on the Solana blockchain that takes an unusual approach to web3 gaming: instead of launching a single title and hoping it sticks, the team is building a universe of interconnected games that share one economy, one token, and one persistent identity for every player. Founded in April 2023 by Gerónimo R Martorelli (CEO) and Federico Santos Sobre (CTO), Valannia has already sold more than 20,000 NFTs across multiple collections, accumulated over 5,000 active wallets, and generated more than $2 million in revenue before its primary token even launched.
Three Games, One Economy
The Valannia universe currently consists of three products at different stages of development.
Shadow Veil is the live entry point. Players connect a Solana wallet and complete daily tasks to accumulate Runes — reputation points that can be redeemed for $VALAN token allocations or NFT whitelist spots. It functions as a lightweight engagement layer that keeps the community active while the larger titles are in development.
Valannia Realms is the core MMO experience, described as a blend of Clash of Clans base-building with World of Warcraft open-world gameplay. "Road to Realms" testing has been available to the community, offering an early look at the three-zone world structure that will define most of the Realms experience. Players build empires, gather resources, form alliances, and participate in territorial conflicts shaped by politics as much as combat.
Valannia Arena is a PvP proving ground that combines MOBA and RTS mechanics. Players control heroes and direct armies in 1v1 and 2v2 matches (with 3v3 forthcoming) across purpose-built maps like Crystal Mines. Matches are designed to resolve in minutes, making Arena the fastest and most immediately accessible entry point once it reaches full launch.
The full-scale Unreal Engine 5 open-world MMORPG — Valannia World — is the long-horizon goal, with the team citing a 2-4 year development window from 2024 onward.
World and Factions
The Valannia universe is home to eight playable races, each with distinct cultures, philosophies, and in-game strengths: Feyrune, Lerathi, Altari, Zan'thar, Tyxen, Glorb, Humanos, and Pirith. Players choose a race at character creation and can pursue a wide range of professions — explorer, merchant, engineer, blacksmith, diplomat, or spy — allowing the game to accommodate passive economic players as readily as frontline combatants.
The world is divided into three geographic risk tiers. The Green Zone serves as a social and commercial hub: players trade, build housing, run shops, and interact without threat of PvP. The Yellow Zone lies outside the major capitals and introduces light PvP; death here means inventory loss but not permanent asset destruction. The Red Zone is the most dangerous territory, offering the highest potential rewards but carrying the harshest penalty — death in the Red Zone results in permanent loss of any NFTs carried, making it a high-stakes layer reserved for the most committed players.
NFTs and In-Game Assets
Valannia has released multiple NFT collections tied to game access and in-world identity. Valannium Rings and Origin Heroes both sold out in earlier rounds. The most recent collection, Risen Heroes, completed its mint phase. These NFTs function as playable characters within Valannia Arena and as identity anchors across the wider universe.
The on-chain nature of game assets means crafted items, land parcels, and characters can be bought, sold, and transferred outside the game. High-value crafted goods gain their worth from the scarcity of raw materials required to produce them, with rarer materials commanding higher market prices. Mega constructions — large-scale buildings that carry political, military, or commercial significance — can be contributed to by multiple players, blending collective action with individual economic gain.
$VALAN Token
The $VALAN token is the primary utility and governance currency across all Valannia titles. Total supply is capped at 100 million tokens. The token's largest allocation — 36% — is reserved for in-game rewards and emissions, reinforcing gameplay as the main distribution mechanism. The remaining allocations cover growth and ecosystem development (20%), an Eternal Treasury (10%), founders and team (9%), private and public sale (12.4%), marketing (7%), liquidity (3%), and advisors (2.6%).
The economy incorporates a deflationary mechanic: 20% of every $VALAN spent in-game is permanently burned. From the remaining 80%, a portion flows to the DAO treasury, a portion to the core team, and allocations to landholders in capital cities and other designated regions. This structure creates ongoing token sinks and distributes value to long-term stakeholders who hold strategic in-game land.
A second currency, Valannium Gold, operates as the in-game transactional layer — purchasable with real money or $VALAN tokens — and handles routine player-to-player commerce without requiring on-chain transactions for every small trade.
The token generation event was targeting November 2025 via the indie.fun launchpad, with centralized exchange listings to be announced separately.
Governance
Valannia operates a DAO that gives $VALAN holders a formal vote in decisions affecting the game world — including political structures, in-game policy, and development priorities. Capital city landholders receive a portion of marketplace fee revenue each quarter, creating direct financial incentives for holders of prime in-game real estate to remain engaged in governance.
Where It Stands
Valannia sits at an unusual position in the Solana gaming landscape: it has already generated meaningful on-chain activity and revenue from NFT sales while its flagship game products are still in testing and early access phases. The multi-title strategy is ambitious — keeping three distinct gameplay formats in simultaneous development while building shared token infrastructure — but the existing community size and NFT sell-through rates suggest the project has cultivated genuine player interest rather than purely speculative attention.
The team's stated vision is a universe where a single hero identity persists across all three games, with assets earned or purchased in one title carrying over into others. Whether that vision holds together as each title matures will be the central test for Valannia over the years ahead.
