On-chain activity
Tokie App
Tokie App implements social trading through shareable video clips, enabling discovery of trading opportunities and community engagement. The system integrates a non-custodial wallet while maintaining social features for content creation and sharing.
Tokie
Tokie is a discovery and trading application built on Solana that merges social content creation with on-chain trading. The platform lets users transform wallet trades into shareable, interactive video clips — called Clips — and earn a portion of the fees whenever someone else trades directly through their shared content. The name derives from the Japanese word for "time," anchoring the platform's mission to capture real-time trading moments and turn them into discoverable narratives.
Core Mechanism
At the heart of Tokie is its Clips system, built on top of Solana Blinks — a standard for embedding on-chain actions inside shareable URLs. When a user creates a Clip, their trade is packaged into an interactive video accessible at a short link. Anyone with the link can trade directly from the Clip by connecting a Solana wallet like Phantom, without needing a Tokie account. This frictionless design means Clips can circulate freely on Twitter, Telegram, Discord, or any platform that accepts URLs, while the original creator continues to earn from the resulting trade flow.
Clip creation is designed to take seconds. Users either search any wallet's trade history or tap into their own trading activity, then apply customizable filters, text overlays, and stickers before publishing. The result is a piece of content that is simultaneously a social media post and a live trading interface.
Fee Structure and Creator Earnings
Every buy and sell transaction on Tokie carries a 1% fee, calculated on the total SOL value of the transaction. Of that fee, 50% goes to the creator of the Clip that generated the trade — a direct financial incentive for producing high-quality, shareable content.
Beyond Clips, Tokie operates a multi-level referral program. Users who invite friends directly earn 35% of those friends' trading fees. Secondary and tertiary referrals earn 10% and 5% respectively. A points-based challenge system layers on top: depositing SOL, hitting trading volume milestones, and creating first Clips all earn points with a 2x multiplier during a new user's first seven days on the platform.
An invitation-only VIP tier extends benefits to high-volume traders and early participants, including priority feature access, enhanced reward rates, and cash bonuses at cumulative volume milestones of $500,000 and $1,000,000.
Discovery Features
Tokie functions as a trading terminal as much as a social layer. The platform's discovery interface organizes content across three main tabs — Coins, Trades, and Wallets — curated by an algorithmic content engine that surfaces trending opportunities. Pre-built playlists include Top Gainers, New Coins, Biggest Wins, and Biggest Losses. Individual coin pages display real-time price charts across five timeframes, a feed of trade highlights, a ranked leaderboard of profitable trades, holder distribution data, and a security assessment that checks for token printing capabilities, transfer fees, and owner permission flags.
Tokie supports 150+ Solana-based tokens. Verified coins unlock the full feature set — clip creation, clip viewing, and reward eligibility.
Wallet and Custody Model
Tokie uses Privy to provision non-custodial wallets at account creation. Users control their own private keys and seed phrases; Tokie holds no access to funds and cannot recover lost credentials. Deposits require sending SOL or Solana-based tokens directly to the in-app wallet address. Account creation supports Twitter, Apple ID, or email sign-in. The application launched in iOS TestFlight alpha, with Android and App Store general availability planned following the alpha period.
Tokens and Assets
Tokie does not appear to have launched an official platform token. The platform's economy runs on SOL and trading fee distribution rather than a native governance or utility token.
Audit Status and Team
Tokie's public documentation does not disclose audit reports, auditing firms, or specific team members. Security checks on listed coins are performed by the platform itself using a defined set of criteria — examining token printing capabilities, feature modification permissions, transfer fees, and withdrawal controls — but no third-party smart contract audit has been announced publicly.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
Tokie sits at the intersection of two active trends on Solana: the rapid growth of meme coin and token trading culture, and the expanding adoption of Solana Blinks to embed on-chain actions inside ordinary web content. By making every trade a shareable, monetizable media object, Tokie applies a creator economy model to on-chain trading flow that Solana's speed and low fees make practical at scale. The frictionless entry point — trade directly from any Clip without an account — aligns with Solana's broader push to reduce onboarding friction for new participants.
