The platform includes a merchant discovery layer. Users can search for participating merchants on Solana or add new locations to the network themselves, creating a community-driven expansion of the acceptance map. The stated use-case footprint at launch covers bars, cafes, shops, and general retail — everyday venues rather than crypto-native merchants only.

Multi-Wallet and Multi-Token Support

A defining feature of TND Payments is its wallet and token agnosticism. Rather than locking users into one asset or one custody solution, the app functions as a compatibility layer: the payer brings whichever wallet and token combination they prefer, and the app routes the transaction accordingly. There are no intermediaries in the settlement chain and no transaction limits at the application level. Meme Coin and Airdrop Utility

A distinctive positioning choice is TND Payments' explicit targeting of meme coin and airdrop holders. At their Solana Mobile dApp Store launch in July 2024, the team promoted SafePay as a way to "spend your random airdrops or meme coins in bars, cafes, shops or any store." This addresses a real liquidity dead-end: Solana users routinely accumulate low-value airdrop tokens with no practical exit other than swapping to SOL or stablecoins first. TND Payments opens a direct spending channel for those tokens, lowering the psychological barrier to using crypto as actual currency rather than a speculative position.

The same logic creates a potential merchant adoption flywheel: users who would not spend hard-earned SOL freely may spend airdrop balances with less hesitation, driving transaction volume that makes merchant participation worthwhile.

The Crypto Card

Beyond phone-to-phone NFC payments, TND Payments was developing a hardware companion: a dedicated crypto payment card. Unlike wrapped crypto debit cards that convert assets to fiat at the point of sale through a payment processor, the TND card is described as a fully crypto-native instrument that encrypts and processes transactions without any third-party conversion step. A key differentiator: the card is designed to work even when the user's phone battery is dead — solving a real-world edge case that a phone-only NFC solution cannot handle. At the time of launch, this feature was listed as coming soon.

TND Payments launched SafePay on the Solana Mobile dApp Store in July 2024. The Solana Mobile dApp Store is purpose-built for decentralized applications seeking direct consumer relationships without the fees and intermediary control of traditional app distribution marketplaces. Solana's underlying characteristics make it technically suited to point-of-sale payments. Sub-second transaction confirmation means no awkward waiting at a checkout counter.
