Film Fun (film.fun) is an AI-powered filmmaking platform launched in April 2025 and built by Rogues Lab, an innovation studio based in Queensland, Australia. The platform bundles a browser-based AI video editor, a structured library of filmmaking courses, and a creator community under a single free-to-access product. Studio

Studio is the platform's IP development environment. While Splice handles shot-level production, Studio is aimed at creators who want to develop episodic or serialised work — building out a project's world, characters, and narrative structure before or alongside production. Film Fun describes it as a place to develop intellectual property and launch projects, targeting creators who think in terms of series and ongoing stories rather than one-off videos.

Academy

The Academy is a free library of more than 30 filmmaking courses, organised into nine structured learning paths. Subjects span cinematography, story structure, editing, sound design, and performance. Courses are taught by working filmmakers rather than AI-generated instruction. Learners earn badges as they progress through modules. The Academy is positioned as complementary to the AI tooling — a way for creators who are new to filmmaking to build craft alongside learning to prompt AI tools effectively.

Community and Discovery

A Discover section functions as a portfolio showcase: creators can publish work made on film.fun, build a public creative profile, and engage with other users. The platform describes this as an evolving community layer as the user base grows.

Rogues Lab and the Solana Connection

Film Fun is a product of Rogues Lab, which describes itself as an AI-native innovation lab whose internal operations across seven business units are run using autonomous AI agent orchestration. The lab's founder, Darren Rogan, brings over 15 years of technology experience from ventures that collectively raised more than $100 million. Rogues Lab participates in Superteam Australia, a community organisation supporting developer activation and ecosystem growth on Solana in the Brisbane and Gold Coast regions.

The Solana connection runs primarily through Rogues NFT, a generative collection of 3,333 pieces on Solana, first minted in 2025. Art for the collection was created by Colombian artist Ataul. The NFT is positioned as an access pass to the Rogues Lab ecosystem — holders receive front-row access to the products, experiences, and opportunities that Rogues Lab builds, with film.fun as one of those products. The collection was trading at a floor price of approximately 0.3 SOL as of mid-2025, with around 750 holders.

A sibling project in the Rogues Lab ecosystem is root.fun, an agentic token launchpad on Solana where layered AI agents curate and monitor token launches. The combination of film.fun and root.fun suggests Rogues Lab is building a suite of AI-native products across both media creation and financial infrastructure within the Solana ecosystem.
