Ancient villain reborn

About

Dolos

Dolos is a Solana-based AI agent project that blends autonomous on-chain activity, social media presence, and a no-code deployment platform. The project takes its name from the Greek spirit of trickery and deception, and that mythology shapes both its persona and its branding. The native token is BULLY, launched in October 2024 on Solana via Pump.fun.

What It Is and the Problem It Solves

Most AI agent projects in the 2024 crypto cycle were either purely conceptual or required significant technical skill to build and deploy. Dolos approached the problem from two directions: first by deploying a live, autonomous AI agent as a public proof-of-concept, and second by building Dolion, a no-code platform that lets non-developers spin up their own AI agents in a single click.

The stated problem is that managing a cross-platform digital presence — social media, trading, community engagement — is time-intensive and requires expertise most users do not have. Dolion aims to make automated AI agents accessible to businesses, influencers, and traders without writing a line of code.

Origins

Dolos began as a personal experiment by a developer who goes by the handle Khouba, who has a background spanning Solana Labs and Meta. Khouba built an AI agent, trained it on over one million crypto-focused tweets alongside Greek mythology literature, and deployed it to X (formerly Twitter). The agent launched a BULLY token that generated $4 million in trading volume within hours, which transformed the experiment into a broader project. Khouba subsequently formalized the team and began building Dolion as the infrastructure layer on top of the Dolos AI architecture.

How It Works

The Dolos Agent

The Dolos AI agent runs on the Llama 3.1/3.2 architecture, fine-tuned to produce a personality characterized by sarcasm, wit, and sharp criticism — intentionally designed to be provocative and engaging for the crypto-native audience. The agent operates autonomously across X, Telegram, and on-chain environments. It uses keyword-triggered responses (activating on mentions of "Dolos" or "roast"), sentiment analysis for contextual reply generation, batch processing of mentions to manage throughput, and real-time cross-platform adaptation.

The agent trades assets autonomously on-chain, airdrops BULLY to users based on engagement metrics, and maintains unified memory across platforms so it can track prior interactions and build context over time. Dolos was among the first AI agents active simultaneously across multiple social platforms with live on-chain trading capability.

Dolion Platform

Dolion launched on January 28, 2025, as the productized version of the underlying Dolos infrastructure. It is a no-code, one-click deploy framework. Users can create cross-platform AI agents compatible with major social media platforms without writing code. Key capabilities include:

  • Autonomous trade execution and portfolio management on Solana
  • Anti-MEV tooling to protect against sandwich attacks and front-running
  • Social media automation covering posting, engagement, and analytics
  • Support for Llama and Anthropic LLMs as the underlying model layer
  • Computing handled via Primis Protocol, a separate infrastructure project also developed by Khouba
  • Cross-chain integrations via LI.FI protocol for EVM chains and Bitcoin (in development)

To deploy an agent through Dolion, users must burn BULLY tokens. The number of tokens required scales with the features selected. This burn mechanism creates deflationary pressure on the BULLY supply and ties token demand directly to platform usage.

Token Details

BULLY is the native token of the Dolos ecosystem, launched on Solana with a total supply of approximately 960.55 million tokens, virtually all of which are in circulation. The contract address is 79yTpy8uwmAkrdgZdq6ZSBTvxKsgPrNqTLvYQBh1pump on Solana mainnet. The tokenomics allocate 40% of supply (approximately 384 million BULLY) to community rewards, incentivizing participation in trading, staking, and community events.

Beyond the burn mechanism for Dolion agent deployment, the token economy includes a 1% transaction fee on Dolion platform interactions, BULLY buybacks funded by X creator payouts earned by the Dolos agent, and governance participation rights. At its peak in late November 2024, BULLY reached an all-time high of approximately $0.26, implying a market cap in the range of $250 million. By mid-2025 the market cap had contracted substantially, consistent with the broader decline across the AI agent memecoin sector.

Supported Assets

BULLY on Solana is the primary token. The Dolion platform supports Solana natively and is building cross-chain integrations for EVM-compatible chains and Bitcoin via the LI.FI bridge. The Dolos agent itself trades Solana-native assets on-chain as part of its autonomous operations.

Security and Audit Status

No formal third-party smart contract audit has been publicly disclosed for the BULLY token or the Dolion platform. The project launched through Pump.fun, which does not require an audit prior to token deployment. No bug bounty program or published audit report has been identified in available sources.

Team and Background

The project was created by Khouba, an anonymous developer with stated backgrounds at Solana Labs and Meta. The broader team is described as having backgrounds in technology, finance, and marketing, though specific team members beyond Khouba have not been publicly identified. Khouba is also developing Primis Protocol, a liquid staking project on Solana that provides the computing layer underlying Dolion agent deployments. The dual-project structure indicates Dolos and Primis are designed as complementary infrastructure rather than independent experiments.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Dolos entered the Solana ecosystem during the late 2024 AI agent cycle, when a cluster of autonomous agent projects launched on Solana, taking advantage of its low transaction fees and fast finality — both prerequisites for practical on-chain agent activity. The project occupies a space between memecoin culture and AI tooling: the Dolos agent is entertainment-driven and community-focused, while Dolion positions as accessible infrastructure for creators and businesses wanting automation without technical overhead.

The burn-for-access model ties platform utility directly to BULLY demand, an attempt to give the token durable use beyond speculative trading. The computing dependency on Primis Protocol creates a tight link between the two Khouba-led projects, meaning Dolion's long-term viability as a platform depends in part on Primis Protocol's development progress. Key features including cross-chain support, email automation, and expanded platform integrations remain on the roadmap rather than in production as of the time of writing.
