Bloomverse
A metaverse platform enabling AI agent creation, NFT integration, and skill-based gaming on Solana.
BLOOM
Bloomverse was a Solana-based blockchain game that launched in 2022 with an unusual pitch: it tried to merge competitive live-action PVP gameplay with direct retail commerce, letting players earn in-game currency redeemable for real physical products. The project is no longer active. PlayToEarn.com lists the game's status as cancelled, the Twitter account (@play_Bloomverse) has been silent, and the bloomverse.io domain has been repurposed entirely for an unrelated AI framework project with no connection to the original game.
What Bloomverse Was
Announced publicly in May 2022, Bloomverse described itself as a "competitive, live-action, PVP game utilizing blockchain technology" built on Solana. The team chose Solana specifically for its transaction throughput and low fees — practical necessities for a game that intended to process frequent on-chain item trades and token transfers.
The game's defining concept was integrating retail brands directly into its virtual world. Rather than treating in-game currency as purely speculative, Bloomverse proposed a circular economy: players would compete in arenas, earn a currency called Bloomies, then spend those Bloomies inside virtual storefronts representing real-world brands. Purchases would trigger actual product deliveries to players' physical addresses. In the team's framing, the game was not just entertainment but a new channel for brand marketing — turning advertising spend into playable experiences with measurable conversion.
Combat was live-action and PVP-focused, with matches taking place across virtual lobbies, malls, and arenas. Avatar cosmetics were tied to NFTs and carried both in-game stat bonuses and real-world perks. The team gave an illustrative example: a piece of armor might grant extra hit points while simultaneously activating a subscription to a physical product like a supplement delivery service.
Tokens and NFTs
Bloomverse had two distinct value layers. The first was Bloomies, the in-game earned currency used for purchases within the virtual retail environment. The second was BLOOM, the governance token that gave holders a say in game development decisions.
The project planned to launch "Founding Fighter" NFTs in early June 2022 as its primary fundraising and community-building mechanism. These NFTs were intended to grant holders early access to the BLOOM governance token private sale, plus exclusive in-game privileges tied to the founding player class. The smart contract deployed on Solana for the project carried the address C7SBQ7Pb8D9wbkfkvjXRCdAEukubXdYC38fp4yBTz2ue.
Roadmap and Planned Milestones
The team published an ambitious multi-phase roadmap. After the founding NFT launch in mid-2022, the plan called for a closed beta, then an open beta announcement, then a public player-building toolset. By mid-to-late 2023, the roadmap envisioned networking infrastructure capable of supporting more than one million simultaneous players, live gameplay, and initial development of VR/AR and mobile versions. An official game launch was slated for the same period.
None of these milestones appear to have been reached. The most recent news coverage of Bloomverse dates to late 2023 and early 2024, and no post-2023 gameplay footage, token distribution records, or shipping announcements have been documented publicly.
Platform Targets
Bloomverse was designed to run on Web, Windows, and Mac at launch, with VR/AR and mobile builds planned as later-stage additions. No console version was mentioned in original materials.
Current Status
Bloomverse is defunct. PlayToEarn.com, which tracks blockchain game projects by monitoring on-chain activity and developer communications, has marked the game as cancelled. The @play_Bloomverse Twitter account has published no content in well over a year. The bloomverse.io domain now hosts an entirely different project — a metacognitive AI framework named AKASHA developed by a team around founder Fernando Cortes Hecht, with patent filings dated to 2025 and 2026. There is no visible connection between the AKASHA AI project and the original Bloomverse game.
The collapse of Bloomverse fits a broad pattern in Solana's early gaming ecosystem. The 2022 wave of Solana play-to-earn projects — many of which announced Founding NFT sales and elaborate gaming economies before delivering playable products — largely failed to ship. Projects that depended on brand retail integrations faced the added difficulty of securing corporate partnerships at scale, a hard sell for a genre whose token economics were already under pressure. Bloomverse did not publish a shutdown announcement, and no post-mortem or team communication about the decision to wind down has been located.
For researchers or collectors: the Solana smart contract address C7SBQ7Pb8D9wbkfkvjXRCdAEukubXdYC38fp4yBTz2ue remains queryable on-chain, and Founding Fighter NFTs minted during the 2022 sale period may still exist in wallet inventories, though they carry no active utility.
