Solana SOL$96.10+1.5%'s decentralized application ecosystem generated $35 million in weekly revenue in the seven days ending August 24, the highest weekly total in 29 weeks, per DeFiLlama. The last time the ecosystem reached a comparable level was early February 2026. Since then, weekly revenue had compressed to as low as $16.94 million during the quieter April and May stretch before recovering through the summer.

The $35 million figure does not represent the ecosystem's absolute ceiling (weeks approaching $50 million occurred during peak periods earlier in 2026, per CryptoBriefing), but it marks a clear shift from the second-quarter lows and the strongest reading since the start of the year.

Jupiter and Raydium at the Center of Solana's DeFi Revenue

Jupiter JUP$0.206-4.9% and Raydium RAY$0.754-0.9% anchor the weekly figure. Jupiter functions as the network's primary swap aggregator, routing trades across Solana's liquidity pools and collecting fees on the volume it directs. Raydium provides the AMM infrastructure that supplies much of that liquidity, earning revenue through swap fees processed in its pools. The two protocols sit at different layers of the same trading stack (aggregation above, pool liquidity below) and together account for a significant share of what DeFiLlama records as weekly DApp revenue on the chain.

Solana Compass analytics show Jupiter routing more than $6 billion in swap volume across 21.6 million swaps in the six complete days ending August 23, with 1.1 million unique wallets active on the aggregator over the period.

Pump.fun and other memecoin trading platforms contribute to the total as well. Pump.fun recently crossed $1 billion in lifetime revenue, per CryptoBriefing, and its weekly contribution to DApp revenue runs between $8 million and $12 million during active periods. That activity adds volume to the weekly number, but the DeFi trading base from Jupiter and Raydium provides a more consistent floor regardless of memecoin cycle conditions.

The revenue concentration across the ecosystem is pronounced. The top-performing applications on Solana typically account for between 60% and 78% of total weekly DApp revenue, per DeFiLlama, with the highest earners pulling far above the median protocol.

What the 29-Week Interval Reveals About the Recovery

The 29-week gap since the last comparable revenue week spans the entirety of Q2 2026, when weekly figures repeatedly came in below the $20 million mark, plus the summer period during which volume gradually rebuilt. The August reading suggests that trading activity on Jupiter and Raydium has returned to early-year levels without requiring a speculative spike of the kind that drove the higher weeks approaching $50 million earlier in 2026.

DeFiLlama's live chain data shows Solana App Revenue running at approximately $4.76 million per day as of August 24, a daily pace consistent with the elevated weekly total. App fees on the chain reached $10.84 million in the same 24-hour window, reflecting the gap between gross fees paid and the subset retained as protocol revenue.

Solana daily DEX trading volume, Aug 18โ€“23 2026

Solana DEXs processed a combined $38.3 billion in on-chain trading volume across the six complete days ending August 23, consistent with the on-chain activity pace behind the ecosystem's 29-week revenue high.

Nine Consecutive Quarters Leading Web3 DApp Revenue

The weekly milestone arrives against a sustained run of quarterly leadership. Solana dApps generated $257 million in Q2 2026, capturing approximately 41% of total Web3 decentralized application revenue and leading all Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains for the ninth consecutive quarter, according to DeFiLlama. The run stretches back to late 2023.

The quarterly consistency reflects the structural depth of the DeFi stack more than any single driver. High-frequency DEX volume routed through Jupiter generates fees at the aggregation layer; that same volume generates fees for Raydium at the pool layer. Both revenue streams compound rather than compete, and the August weekly figure suggests each is operating at close to early-year capacity heading into Q3.
