OnRe Liquidity Engine Launches for ONyc: Capital-Backed RFQ Quotes Routed by Titan
An antique brass vault marked OnRe feeds a glowing ONyc canister whose light streams through a Titan routing hub out to floating platforms labelled Kamino, Loopscale and Exponent over a star-lit Solana network map.

OnRe ONyc$1.15-0.1% has opened the capital-backed liquidity behind ONyc, its reinsurance-yield token on Solana, to outside trading routes. The OnRe Liquidity Engine, introduced in a 24 September 2026 blog post, is a request-for-quote (RFQ) system: OnRe's smart contracts quote live buy and sell prices for ONyc, funded by capital OnRe raised for underwriting. Titan, the Solana trading aggregator, routes orders to those quotes, which makes the liquidity available to every app built on the Titan API.

How the OnRe Liquidity Engine prices and settles ONyc trades

The OnRe Liquidity Engine draws on a reserve that OnRe carves out of its underwriting capital. According to OnRe, approximately 15% of that capital is currently allocated to ONyc liquidity, and a portion of the allocation sits on-chain in a designated redemption vault, available for immediate execution. OnRe says the 15% target will be adjusted over time according to investor needs and the make-up of its in-force reinsurance portfolio.

OnRe's contracts generate the quotes themselves. The price adjusts with how much liquidity is available, the net direction of demand and the size of the trade, so the quote responds as market conditions change. Execution is atomic against a minimum output the user sets: if the trade cannot deliver at least that amount, the whole transaction reverses and nothing settles.

An RFQ system works more like calling a dealer than dropping an order into a pool. Instead of trading against whatever depth a decentralized exchange pool happens to hold, the router asks OnRe for a firm price on a specific size and folds OnRe's transaction into its own route if that price wins.

Why ONyc needs dedicated liquidity in Kamino and Loopscale lending markets

ONyc's secondary-market liquidity matters because of where the token is used. OnRe's post says ONyc now backs lending, leveraged yield strategies, fixed-rate markets and risk tranching. Lenders who accept ONyc as collateral need to be able to sell it when a position is liquidated, and borrowers running leveraged loops need enough depth to open and close them at size.

The amounts involved are no longer small. In a 2 September 2026 post, OnRe reported more than $225 million of ONyc deployed in Solana DeFi, including $166.6 million on Kamino Finance KMNO$0.044+18.0%, $49.3 million on Loopscale and $6.4 million on Exponent, which OnRe said was nearly 45% of the DeFi active TVL held in real-world assets on Solana. Solana Compass has tracked that build-out from the ONyc lending market on Kamino crossing $150 million in June to Exponent's srONyc yield trading in July.

The underlying problem is one every real-world asset on-chain runs into. Reinsurance capital is committed for set periods, while a token that circulates in DeFi can be sold at any moment. OnRe's answer is to keep part of its capital liquid and quote against it directly, and the company says it aims for this to become the primary source of ONyc liquidity across DeFi, reducing reliance on external secondary-market depth over time.

Titan API routing opens OnRe's reserve to Kamino, Loopscale and Exponent users

Titan's role is distribution. OnRe's application is integrated with the Titan API, and Titan compares routes by trade direction, size and available liquidity, sending an ONyc order to OnRe's quote when it beats pool prices. Eligible users can also trade ONyc directly in the OnRe app.

Titan confirmed the launch in its own announcement on 25 September:

In the same post, Titan described the Liquidity Engine as an RFQ system backed by OnRe's own capital reserves and said the liquidity is accessible to all Titan API users, "including the Titan Exchange and core Solana partners with ONyc products like @kamino @Loopscale @ExponentFinance."

This extends a relationship that began on the minting side. Since 26 January 2026, users have been able to mint ONyc at net asset value on Titan with USDC or USDG. Minting covers entry at NAV; the Liquidity Engine covers trading in both directions once the token is circulating.

What OnRe has not disclosed about the redemption vault

OnRe has not published the dollar size of the on-chain redemption vault or what share of the 15% allocation it holds, so how large a trade the engine can absorb before its quotes widen is not yet public. The 15% figure is also a current allocation that OnRe says it will adjust, and the post does not give a timetable for OnRe's quotes becoming the main source of ONyc liquidity.

What the design does settle is who stands behind the bid. OnRe, the issuer, has committed part of its own capital to quoting ONyc on-chain, and through Titan those quotes now compete with third-party pools for routed ONyc orders. On-chain reinsurance on Solana is also getting more crowded: Re Finance's reUSD market on Kamino crossed $20 million eight days after launch in August. An issuer-backed quote routed through a shared aggregator is a model other real-world-asset tokens on Solana could adopt, and ONyc, with more than $225 million in DeFi by OnRe's September count, is where it will be tested at scale.
