Kalshi Becomes First Prediction Market to Stream Live Order Books on DoubleZero Edge
Kalshi is now streaming real-time Level 1 and Level 2 order book data on DoubleZero Edge, the dedicated-fiber multicast network used by NYSE, NASDAQ, and CME.
Kalshi's live order book is now streaming on DoubleZero 2Z$0.058+16.3%, making it the first prediction market to distribute real-time market data over the dedicated-fiber multicast network that has long served HFT data feeds at NYSE, NASDAQ, and CME. The integration, announced via joint press release on August 12, 2026, gives professional trading firms access to Kalshi's order book through DoubleZero Edge without building custom data pipelines.
The feed covers both Level 1 data (top-of-book bid and ask prices plus completed trades) and Level 2 data (full depth of the order book across all price tiers). At launch, coverage includes sports event contracts and crypto perpetual futures, Kalshi's most actively traded segments. Historical data is planned for a later release.
From Custom Data Pipelines to a Subscription: DoubleZero Edge's Multicast Architecture
Prediction markets have historically relied on public REST APIs for market data access. Trading firms that wanted granular, low-latency visibility into the order book had to build and maintain their own data infrastructure on top of those APIs. DoubleZero Edge changes that model.
The platform uses multicast delivery over dedicated dark fiber: data is published once and arrives simultaneously at every connected subscriber. That architecture is standard on institutional exchange feeds and removes the latency and reliability penalties of polling an API under load. "Previously, a firm wanting a production-grade view of the book built it," Austin Federa, DoubleZero's co-founder, told Decrypt. "Now it's a subscription."
The Solana-native infrastructure project designed DoubleZero Edge to bring that connectivity model to blockchain and event contract markets, treating them on equal footing with traditional exchanges in terms of data access.
Kalshi Drops Its Revenue Share for Year One
To reduce entry costs, Kalshi is waiving its portion of post-burn subscription fees for the first year. Subscribers pay DoubleZero for network delivery during that period but do not pay Kalshi's data licensing share, lowering the cost of evaluating the feed before committing to a full integration.
Andy Ross, Kalshi's Head of Institutional, tied the decision to the profile of firms already trading on the platform. "The firms participating on Kalshi today are increasingly the same top-tier names as those in traditional markets," Ross said in the press release. "By making our market data available over DoubleZero Edge, we're meeting them where they are."
Austin Federa added context in a post on X: "Prediction markets have become critical financial infrastructure, so we decided to treat them like that."
DoubleZero's Background: $28M Raise and SEC Token No-Action Letter
DoubleZero raised $28 million in March 2025 to build out its global dedicated-fiber capacity. In late 2025, the SEC issued a no-action letter confirming that the protocol's 2Z network token is not an equity security, resolving a key regulatory question for the protocol's incentive design.
By the end of Q2 2026, the network carried $21.7 billion in total connected value, covered 59% of Solana's mainnet stake weight across 462 validators, and ran 10.14 Tbps of aggregate capacity. Kalshi is the first prediction market to join DoubleZero Edge, which previously focused on traditional exchanges and Solana-native trading venues.
