Helius Takes Parsed Streams and the Parsed Events API Out of Beta, Decoding

Helius hSOL$139.80+2.4% took Parsed Streams and the Parsed Events API out of beta on 24 September 2026, making decoded transaction data for more than 3,600 Solana programs available on every Helius plan, including the free tier. Helius announced the change on X at 21:18 UTC. The two products split the work: Parsed Streams pushes decoded transactions live over a WebSocket connection, and the Parsed Events API decodes a transaction or an address's history on request over REST. Together they replace Helius's legacy Enhanced Transactions API and Enhanced Transaction Webhooks.

For anyone building a wallet, trading bot, portfolio tracker or dashboard on Solana, this is the step between raw chain data and something an app can show a user. A raw Solana transaction is a list of program calls with account addresses and byte-encoded arguments. Turning that into a readable record of a wallet swapping SOL for another token on Jupiter JUP$0.316+9.8% normally means finding each program's interface definition and writing a decoder for it. Helius now does that decoding on its own servers, and credit metering for both products started the same day.

How the Parsed Events API decodes a Solana transaction

The Parsed Events API takes a transaction signature or a wallet address and returns the decoded result. The Parsed Events documentation lists two endpoints, one for individual transactions and one for an address's transaction history. In the launch thread, Helius said each response carries a plain-language summary of the action (its example: a wallet swapping 5 SOL for PUMP via Jupiter), every instruction argument with its name (such as in_amount), every account with its role (such as authority), and all SOL and token transfers.

The decoding runs off Helius's IDL catalog. An IDL (interface definition language) file is a program's published description of its instructions and accounts, the Solana equivalent of an API spec that says what each field in a call means. Helius's blog post on the two products sets out the difference from the old system: "Where Enhanced Transactions classified transactions into a fixed list of event types, Parsed Events decodes each instruction via the IDL catalog, with a raw fallback instead of UNKNOWN for unrecognized programs." Under the old API, activity outside Helius's fixed event list came back as unknown. Under the new one, any program with an IDL in the catalog gets named fields, and anything else still arrives as raw data a developer can work with.

Parsed Streams: WebSocket filtering by program, instruction and account

Parsed Streams is the live half of the release. According to the Parsed Streams documentation, Helius watches confirmed Solana transactions, decodes them and pushes only the ones that match a developer's filter. Filters can target programs, instruction names, specific accounts and the roles those accounts play, and can optionally include inner instructions (calls one program makes to another, known as cross-program invocations or CPIs) and failed transactions. Matching happens at the instruction level, but each notification delivers the whole decoded transaction.

The Parsed Streams documentation lists the kind of programs covered: Jupiter, Raydium RAY$2.04-0.2%'s CLMM and CPMM pools, Orca ORCA$1.62+4.6% Whirlpool, Meteora MET$0.332-3.4% DLMM, Pump.fun and PumpSwap, Marginfi LST$154.38+2.5%, Kamino Finance KMNO$0.038+3.6%'s lending program and Metaplex MPLX$0.046+0.6% Bubblegum for compressed NFTs, alongside core programs such as SPL Token, Token-2022 and the System Program. Each instruction arrives in one of three states: decoded, with named arguments and accounts; recognized, which adds a typed summary; or undecoded, with raw data when the program is not in the catalog. The WebSocket endpoint in the documentation still sits on a beta.helius-rpc.com address.

Credit pricing: 10 credits per request versus 100 for Enhanced Transactions

Helius is pitching the switch partly on cost. The Helius credits page prices the Parsed Events API at 10 credits per request and the legacy Enhanced Transactions API, listed as "in maintenance mode", at 100 credits, which is the basis for the "10x less" figure in Helius's pricing post. Parsed Streams costs 1 credit per delivered event, the same rate as the Enhanced Transaction Webhooks it succeeds. Metering began on 24 September 2026, and projects that used either product before that date are not charged until 1 October 2026, per the billing page.

During the open beta, the Helius blog described both products as available on paid plans. General availability opens them to Helius's free plan as well. The Parsed Events documentation says the Enhanced Transactions API stays in maintenance mode, so existing integrations keep working while developers move across.

Solana's 1.22 billion instructions in a day: the stream Helius filters

Solana's on-chain activity shows the scale of the data Parsed Streams has to sift. On 24 September 2026, the day of the announcement, Solana processed 168.8 million non-vote transactions containing 1.22 billion instructions, 553.2 million of them inner instructions triggered by other programs, according to Solana Compass network data. Parsed Streams matches filters against that instruction-level activity on Helius's side, so a developer's app receives only the decoded transactions it asked for.

The general availability release extends a run of Helius data products this year. As we covered in August, Helius launched preprocessedSubscribe, a WebSocket stream of transactions before they execute, and in June it shipped a balance-at endpoint for historical wallet balances. Parsed Streams and the Parsed Events API work on the other side of execution: they tell a developer what a confirmed transaction did, in named fields, for the 3,600+ programs in the Helius catalog.
