Vorld

Vorld is an indie game studio building original intellectual property on Solana through a combination of games, comics, and blockchain-native collectibles. Its flagship project, Aquatica Odyssey, is a multiplayer Web3 game set on a boundless ocean planet called Aquatica, where players explore alien landscapes, survive environmental hazards, construct bases, and compete for territory.

Aquatica Odyssey: Gameplay and Mechanics

Aquatica Odyssey is structured around four core gameplay pillars: exploration, survival, building, and conquest. Players navigate uncharted terrain and encounter alien wildlife on the surface, managing resources and energy while constructing sanctuaries and advancing through progression systems.

Players control customizable characters called Astrokidz, whose capabilities are shaped by their chosen gear and persona class. Ten distinct classes are available: Eco Harvester, Fauna Master, Tech Artisan, Star Warlord, Demolition Ace, Galactic Merchant, Bio Sage, Crypto Hacker, Peace Keeper, Master Builder, and Scout Voyager, each offering specialized skills suited to different playstyles.

Each Astrokidz avatar can be equipped with functional gear that affects gameplay: the Ecodome protective suit, GenCore energy storage generator, BackVault inventory system, Propelpads thruster shoes for terrain navigation, ArcLink mobile control center, EchoPod communication device, and SupplyStrap customizable accessory holder.

The first game mode, Islands of Aquatica, emphasizes real-time strategy elements alongside base building and both PvE and PvP combat.

Astrokidz NFT Collection

Astrokidz are the primary collectible asset within the Vorld ecosystem. The collection has a total supply of 3,000 NFTs, launched at a mint price of 3.3 SOL on the Lilypad minting platform. Each NFT doubles as a playable in-game avatar, tying blockchain ownership directly to gameplay identity.

A separate tier, Astrokidz Elites, was reserved for early community members, founders, and notable contributors to the project.

The collection uses an LST-backed structure: each NFT is backed by VorldSOL, a creator coin issued on the Sanctum protocol that maintains a 1:1 peg with SOL. This backing gives holders a floor of verifiable, liquid value derived from the underlying SOL token rather than purely speculative demand. Holders of the Solana ID SOLID priority pass received exclusive early access and perks tied to the Astrokidz presale.

VorldSOL and Sanctum Integration

VorldSOL is the creator coin on the Sanctum liquid staking protocol. By maintaining a 1:1 peg with SOL, the token is designed to provide NFT holders with staking yield potential alongside their in-game collectible ownership. The team described this structure as providing real value and rug-free security, distinguishing it from collections that rely solely on secondary market speculation.

Aquatica Odyssey Comic Series

Alongside the game, Vorld published a comic series also titled Aquatica Odyssey on the Dreader platform. The comics expand the narrative lore of the Aquatica setting and are intended to build the fictional universe as a standalone IP beyond the game, with a first release targeted for Q1 2025.

Partnerships and Ecosystem

Vorld was accepted into the Helius Startup Launchpad, a milestone the team cited as central to their development trajectory. Infrastructure partners include Sanctum for creator coin and LST infrastructure, Helius Labs for RPC and developer tooling, Metaplex for NFT standards, MagicBlocks for on-chain gaming infrastructure, Lilypad for NFT minting, Phaselabs for additional infrastructure, Solana ID for identity-gated priority access, Dreader for comics publishing, Helio for payment processing, and SHYFT for blockchain data infrastructure.

The project was founded by BK, serving as game architect, supported by a team spanning game development, design, marketing, and community management.

Status

Vorld completed initial NFT collection planning, entered the Helius Startup Launchpad, and published early game and comic content. The main website remains accessible, with most verifiable public activity dating from 2024 through early 2025.
