Tomo Wallet

Tomo Wallet is a multi-chain self-custodial wallet supporting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, TON, Tron, Cosmos, and various Layer 2 networks. The wallet utilizes MPC technology for key management and account abstraction for simplified user experience. Users authenticate through social accounts including Google, Apple, X, Instagram, or Telegram. The platform provides asset management, cross-chain swaps, fiat on-ramping via third-party providers, and social features including chat, token-gated communities, and direct peer-to-peer transfers within messaging interfaces.

Tomo

Tomo is a multichain crypto social wallet built by Unyx Inc that combines asset management across more than 20 blockchains—including Solana—with social features like community chat, creator profiles, and token gifting, distributed as a mobile app, browser extension, and Telegram mini-app.

What Tomo Is

Tomo positions itself as an all-in-one social wallet designed to lower the barriers to Web3 participation. Rather than splitting wallet management and on-chain social activity across separate applications, Tomo consolidates both into a single interface. Users can hold, swap, and transfer assets across dozens of chains while also chatting with token communities, following other traders, and posting content—without leaving the app.

The platform ships in four distinct form factors: a mobile app (iOS and Android), a browser extension for Chrome, a Telegram bot, and a Telegram mini-app. Each distribution channel targets a different usage pattern. The mobile app serves as the full-featured primary interface. The browser extension functions as a multichain wallet for desktop DeFi users. The Telegram integration—launched in October 2024—brings wallet functionality directly into chat threads, letting users send, receive, and cross-chain swap tokens inside existing Telegram conversations.

Core Mechanism and Social Layer

The wallet is built around social-login onboarding. Users authenticate through existing social accounts rather than generating and backing up a seed phrase. Key custody relies on hardware security modules using Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) technology, keeping private key material isolated from the application layer. This approach is intended to reduce the onboarding friction that deters non-technical users from self-custody while maintaining a stronger security posture than purely software-based alternatives.

The social layer runs alongside the wallet rather than as an afterthought. Users can discover communities organized around specific tokens, join group chats, post updates, and earn points for on-chain and in-app activity. The points system rewards engagement without requiring a native protocol token, which distinguishes Tomo from social wallet projects that rely on speculative tokenomics to bootstrap user activity.

Product Suite

Tomo Wallet handles asset management across more than 20 blockchains. Explicitly supported chains include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, TON, Tron, BNB Smart Chain, Cosmos, Arbitrum, Base, Blast, Avalanche, Polygon, Scroll, Optimism, Linea, and several Bitcoin Layer 2 networks. Users can buy crypto with fiat through integrated on- and off-ramp services, perform cross-chain swaps within the app, and send tokens as gifts to other users or Telegram contacts.

The token gifting feature—available through the Telegram wallet—launched with support for Solana and BNB Chain assets first, reflecting the prominence of both ecosystems in community-driven token activity. Additional chains are planned for the gifting module.

TomoID is a creator-focused social identity product. It functions as a link-in-bio tool that aggregates a user's Web3 presence—wallet addresses, social handles from platforms like X, Instagram, and TikTok, and an affiliate commission program for crypto referrals—into a single shareable profile page. Content creators and projects can earn direct commissions when followers buy assets through their TomoID links.

TomoJi (Tomoji) is a launchpad built on Base that allows users to create and trade ERC-404 tokens, a hybrid standard that blurs the line between fungible tokens and NFTs. Each Tomoji token can be fractionalized, enabling partial ownership and improving liquidity compared to traditional whole-NFT markets.

Tomo Connect SDK (also marketed as Tomo Labs) provides a developer toolkit for embedding multichain wallet connectivity into third-party applications. The SDK supports both Tomo-native wallets and external wallet connections, giving developers a single integration path for covering a broad set of wallet providers.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Solana is one of Tomo's first-tier supported chains across the full product stack. The mobile app and browser extension both support Solana asset management, and the Telegram wallet's token gifting feature launched on Solana before expanding to other networks—a deliberate choice that reflects Solana's dominance in social and meme token activity. Tomo's emphasis on fast in-app swaps, community-driven token discovery, and mobile-first accessibility aligns with the usage patterns common among Solana-native retail traders.

Funding and Team

Tomo is operated by Unyx Inc, also known as UnyxTech, with Ryan Fang as founder. The company raised a $3.5 million seed round in April 2024 led by Polychain Capital. Additional investors include Consensys, Symbolic Capital, OKX Ventures, Story Protocol, dao5, KuCoin Ventures, and HTX. The investor mix spans infrastructure funds, exchange-affiliated capital, and ecosystem-specific backers, providing distribution leverage across multiple chains and user communities.

Security and Audits

CertiK conducted a security audit of Tomo's contracts, finalized on June 11, 2025. The audit identified 12 findings—2 major, 5 medium, and 5 minor, all categorized as logic flaws. All 12 issues were resolved before the final report was delivered. CertiK's Skynet platform assigns Tomo a score of 88.52, placing it in the AA tier. The project also maintains active on-chain monitoring through CertiK Skynet. As of mid-2025, Tomo reported approximately $150,000 in total value locked across its smart contract infrastructure—modest relative to larger DeFi protocols, but consistent with a wallet product where most asset custody is non-custodial at the user level.

The TEE-based key management architecture provides an additional layer of isolation for user key material that goes beyond standard software wallet implementations. The approach is similar to the hardware enclave model used by mobile operating systems for biometric data, reducing the attack surface for server-side key extraction.

Status

Tomo launched its main social wallet application in mid-2024 and expanded into Telegram in October 2024. The project is actively developed by UnyxTech, with ongoing chain support expansions and SDK updates tracked on the GitHub repository at github.com/UnyxTech. The Tomo wallet is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and the browser extension is listed on the Chrome Web Store.
