TokenPocket

TokenPocket is a self-custody cryptocurrency wallet founded in 2018 and headquartered in Singapore. It supports more than 200 blockchain networks and serves over 30 million users across 200+ countries, making it one of the largest multi-chain wallets by user count. The core premise is straightforward: private keys are generated and stored locally on the user device, so only the user controls their assets. No central party holds custody.

How It Works

TokenPocket ships in four form factors. The mobile wallet (iOS and Android) is the primary product and handles the full range of wallet operations -- sending, receiving, swapping, DApp browsing, and NFT management. A browser extension wallet provides the same functionality for desktop DeFi and Web3 interactions. The KeyPal hardware wallet offloads private key storage to a dedicated hardware device, adding support for Taproot and Schnorr signature protocols (added in 2024). The TP Card, launched in October 2024, extends wallet functionality into decentralized payment scenarios.

Underneath these interfaces, TokenPocket runs a JavaScript SDK (tp-js-sdk) and a native Mobile SDK that DApp developers use to integrate wallet connectivity. The SDK explicitly supports Solana alongside ETH, TRON, EOS, COSMOS, and IOST. These are open-source and maintained in the TP-Lab GitHub organization.

Solana Support

TokenPocket supports Solana as a first-class chain in its multi-chain interface. Users can hold SOL and any SPL token in a single wallet alongside their assets on other networks. Notable Solana-specific features documented in the help center include batch transfers for bulk SOL and SPL token sends, and a gas-free transfer service for select Solana token operations. The wallet handles associated account management, which Solana requires for SPL token accounts, and explains the two-part fee structure (transaction fee plus account rent minimum) to users. DApp connectivity on Solana is available through the built-in DApp browser, giving access to Solana DEXes, lending protocols, and other on-chain applications.

Token Swaps and Cross-Chain

Transit Swap is TokenPocket integrated DEX aggregator, allowing token swaps within and across chains without leaving the wallet. Cross-chain bridge functionality lets users move assets between networks. Credit card on-ramps are available for direct cryptocurrency purchases within the app. These features are available across supported chains, including Solana.

The TPT Token

TokenPocket has a utility token, TPT, which has been live for over six years. TPT is listed on major exchanges and tracked on CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko. According to CertiK Skynet data, TPT has approximately 52,000 holders, with a major-holder concentration ratio of roughly 38%. CertiK assigned the project an overall security score of 82.67/100 based on market and operational indicators, though it has not completed a formal CertiK code audit. The TPT smart contract shows several owner-privilege parameters and trading constraints that users should review before holding.

Security Architecture and Track Record

TokenPocket security model centers on local key storage -- seed phrases and private keys never leave the device. The wallet additionally offers MultiSig wallet support, which requires multiple signatures to authorize transactions and reduces single-point-of-failure risk, and an AA Wallet (account abstraction) mode that uses smart contract accounts to prevent private key exposure.

At the network level, TokenPocket publishes active threat filtering statistics. According to the 2024 annual report, the platform blocked over 500,000 fraudulent and phishing websites, flagged more than 300,000 high-risk addresses, performed over 80 million token security checks, and ran over 120 million authorization detection services during the year. The team also claims to have recovered more than 3 million USD in user funds and taken down more than 5,000 counterfeit official websites and 600 fake wallet apps in 2024. Security assessments are conducted in partnership with SlowMist.

Compliance and Institutional Moves

In February 2024, TokenPocket obtained a FinCEN Money Services Business (MSB) license in the United States. In May 2024, the company established an Asia-Pacific operations center at Hong Kong Cyberport. These moves signal an effort to position TokenPocket as a compliant, institutionally recognized wallet provider rather than operating in a purely unregulated space.

Team and Company

TokenPocket was founded in 2018 by Yes Chen. The company operates from Singapore with the Asia-Pacific hub in Hong Kong. The TP-Lab GitHub organization hosts the open-source components of the project, with the tokens repository having over 6,300 forks -- a measure of the DApp and token integration ecosystem that has built on top of TokenPocket tooling.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

TokenPocket entered Solana support as part of its broad multi-chain expansion strategy. For Solana users, the primary appeal is the ability to manage SOL and SPL tokens alongside assets on a dozen other networks in a single interface without giving up self-custody. The integrated DApp browser provides direct access to Solana-native protocols, and the Transit Swap aggregator can route SOL-denominated swaps. TokenPocket does not specialize in Solana the way single-chain wallets like Phantom do, but its breadth makes it particularly useful for users who move between ecosystems and want one application to handle all of it.

The wallet is free to download and use. TokenPocket generates revenue through swap fees on Transit Swap and through the TP Card payment service. The KeyPal hardware wallet is a separate hardware purchase.
