Solana Bear Gang

Solana Bear Gang (SBG) was a Solana NFT project built around 888 pixel bears. It is no longer active. On 3 June 2026 the team announced that the project "has sunset". Its missions game, its shop and its Rumble Racers game went offline on 1 June. The NFTs still exist on-chain and can still be traded. The website stays up as an archive, and the Discord stays open.

For four years, SBG ran a small play-to-earn economy. Holders sent bears on missions to earn the $BERRY token. They spent it on Den NFTs and shop items, and they shared in fees from Rumble Racers.

Is Solana Bear Gang still active?

No. The team's sunset post says missions, the shop and rumbleracers.com went offline on 1 June 2026. When we checked in October 2026, rumbleracers.com showed only the line "RumbleRacers has come to an end". The shop and missions pages on solanabeargang.com returned 404 errors. The last original posts on X were race events in April and May 2026, then the sunset post. Since then the account has only reposted Claim Your Sol, a tool SBG had partnered with.

What survives is what lives on-chain: the 888 Gen 1 bears, the 500 Den NFTs and the $BERRY token. None of them has an active game or shop behind it any more.

Solana Bear Gang NFT collection (Gen 1)

According to the project docs, the 888 randomly generated bears sold out in February 2022 at a mint price of 0.30 SOL. Each bear has one of six rarity tiers, from Common up to Mythic. While the game ran, rarity mattered for more than looks. It raised mission yields and set how many slots a bear filled on special missions.

The docs list Magic Eden ME$0.046-10.6%, OpenSea and SolSea as places to trade the bears. The website states a 5% royalty on resales. A second generation was planned but never released.

How the SBG missions (NFT staking) worked

Missions were SBG's gamified staking system and the main way $BERRY entered circulation. The missions docs describe missions lasting one to seven days, from easy to hard, plus an ongoing staking option:

• Easy missions always paid some loot, whatever the outcome.
• Hard missions needed several bears or a $BERRY fee to launch, and could pay well or return nothing.
• Rarity added a yield bonus of 2% to 50% to $BERRY rewards, and traits added a roll bonus on harder missions.

Special missions cost 5,000 $BERRY to launch and paid out treasure chests. Those could hold $BERRY, SOL or NFTs. All of this went offline on 1 June 2026.

$BERRY token: supply and tokenomics

$BERRY (BERRY) is SBG's utility token. Its total supply is 200 million. The tokenomics page set aside 60% of it for staking and missions. The rest went to liquidity, promotions and a team reserve that the founders locked.

A deflation rule cut all mission rewards by a quarter each time users had earned another 30 million $BERRY.

The docs name two places to buy $BERRY: the SBG shop, now offline, and the Famous Fox Federation's token market. With missions and the shop gone, the token has lost both its source of new supply and its main uses. Those were Dens, shop items and mission fees.

SBG Den NFTs

The SBG Den is a second collection of 500 NFTs that served as homes for bears. Each Den type held a different number of bears:

Dens were sold for $BERRY or SOL in the SBG shop and traded on Magic Eden. Owners could customise them with furniture bought in the shop.

Rumble Racers and SBG revenue sharing

Rumble Racers was SBG's player-versus-player racing game. Players paid entry fees to race in duels and group rooms for SOL prizes. Under the revenue share terms, 25-50% of game fees went to the 888 bears. Holders claimed their share from their Rumble Racers profile.

In its last months the game ran "Raffle Racers" events with NFTs as prizes. Every entrant also got 1,000 $BERRY. The last one, #50, ran on 15 May 2026. The site is now closed, so the revenue share has ended.

Claim Your Sol partnership

SBG's docs list a partnership with Claim Your Sol, a tool that closes empty token accounts and returns their rent deposits, minus a fee. SBG published its own referral link for it. Disclosure: Solana Compass runs a competing tool that closes empty token accounts and refunds the rent.

Who is Solana Bear Gang for now?

Solana Bear Gang now suits holders and collectors of early Solana NFTs. It does not suit buyers who want utility. If you like a 2022 pixel collection for its own sake, you can still trade the bears and Dens.

If you want mission yields, $BERRY rewards or a revenue share, none of it runs any more. The team has not announced a relaunch, a new owner or a new home for the game.

Risks of buying Solana Bear Gang NFTs or $BERRY

• No active utility. Missions, the shop and Rumble Racers have been offline since 1 June 2026. The utility that rarity and Dens once provided no longer exists.
• Thin, ownerless markets. With no team-run shop or game, prices for the bears, Dens and $BERRY depend only on secondary trading. Check live liquidity before buying. The token widgets on this page show current data.
• Token look-alikes. Several unrelated tokens use the BERRY ticker on Solana. Check the mint address against the one in SBG's own tokenomics docs.
• Undocumented custody. The docs never said whether bears stayed in holders' wallets during missions or moved into a program. Compass has no program addresses on record for SBG, and we found no published audit.

Solana Bear Gang team and history

The website lists a team of six. Barlow and Grilo were the co-founders. The others covered marketing, community, moderation and game design. Here is the timeline, from SBG's docs and posts:

• February 2022: the 888 Gen 1 bears sell out at 0.30 SOL.
• 2022 onwards: missions launch through alpha and beta phases, followed by $BERRY, the Den collection, the shop and Rumble Racers.
• March to May 2026: Raffle Racers events #48 to #50 run on Rumble Racers.
• 1 June 2026: missions, the shop and rumbleracers.com go offline. The team announces the sunset on 3 June, closing out four years of the project.
