Solana Bear Gang

Solana Bear Gang (SBG) is a community-oriented NFT project built on the Solana blockchain, centered on a Generation 1 collection of 888 uniquely designed pixel bears. Launched with the philosophy that NFT ownership should carry tangible, evolving utility rather than passive speculation, the project has built a multi-layered ecosystem around its bears spanning gamified staking, a native utility token, customizable secondary NFTs, and a revenue-sharing play-to-earn racing game.

The Collection and Entry Point

The core asset is the SBG Gen 1 collection — 888 pixel art bears, all minted — tradable on Magic Eden and Solsea. Each bear carries distinct traits that go beyond aesthetics: in the missions system, trait alignment with specific mission types unlocks bonus success chances, referred to in the docs as a Roll bonus, and bear rarity directly amplifies $BERRY token earnings, with multipliers ranging from +2% to +50% depending on rarity tier. Royalties are set at 5%, a rate the team describes as deliberately low to encourage frictionless secondary trading.

The Missions System: Gamified Staking

Holding a bear unlocks the Missions platform, the primary SBG engagement and reward mechanism. Rather than a straightforward staking pool, Missions present bears with time-limited quests ranging from one to seven days, categorized by difficulty from easy through hard. Easier missions guarantee some $BERRY reward regardless of outcome; harder missions are all-or-nothing affairs where bears may return empty-handed or bring back a significantly larger payload. Some high-difficulty missions require multiple bears or a $BERRY entry fee, creating a risk-reward calibration layer that rewards strategic decisions. Special Missions add further variety beyond the standard rotation, and an XP system supports raid-to-earn and play-to-earn mechanics across the platform.

$BERRY Token: Deflationary Economics

$BERRY (Solana SPL token address: HDRfVAY8Q54YnxhQPpc1ngHVEswU8k39cegCTZXnY5LE) is the native SBG utility token with a hard cap of 200 million tokens. The distribution allocation places 60% (120 million tokens) toward staking and missions rewards, with remaining allocations covering liquidity provision, promotional events, and a locked team reserve intended to prevent value dilution.

A built-in deflationary mechanism ties token scarcity to ecosystem adoption: each time 30 million $BERRY have been distributed through missions, all mission rewards — including Special Mission payouts — are automatically cut by 25% (rounded to an approximated value). This trigger fires at the 30M, 60M, and 90M distribution milestones, progressively constraining new supply as cumulative distribution grows. $BERRY is spent in the SBG Shop on items and Den NFTs, creating a circular utility loop between earning through missions and spending within the ecosystem.

SBG Den: Housing NFTs That Expand Capacity

The SBG Den is a secondary collection of 500 NFTs that function as in-ecosystem housing for bears, directly improving mission throughput. Five den variants offer different bear capacity slots:

  • Summer Den: 2 bear slots
  • Forest Den: 4 bear slots
  • Winter Den: 8 bear slots
  • Night Den: 16 bear slots
  • City Den: 32 bear slots

Bears housed in dens earn $BERRY through gameplay, and dens can be further personalized with SBG Den Furniture — a separate collectible trait layer purchasable with $BERRY. Dens are available through the SBG Shop, accepting $BERRY or SOL, and on the Magic Eden secondary market.

Rumble Racers: PvP Racing with Holder Revenue Share

Rumble Racers is the flagship SBG play-to-earn game — a player-versus-player racing title hosted at rumbleracers.com where participants can bet SOL and race against other players. The game features Sit & Go tournaments, head-to-head duels, prize pools, and a gem-based in-game currency with its own swap functionality. Collaborations with external projects expand the player base beyond the native SBG holder community.

A core differentiator is the revenue-sharing model tied directly to bear ownership: 25-50% of all game fees collected on the Rumble Racers platform are automatically shared among all 888 Gen 1 bear holders. Balances update once daily and are claimable through the holder in-game profile. Notably, even bears listed for sale on secondary markets continue to accumulate SOL revenue share, which can be claimed by whoever ultimately holds or purchases the bear.

Team and Background

SBG was founded by two friends — Barlow and Grilo — who set out to build an NFT project grounded in structured utility rather than speculative hype. An artist joined early to realize the pixel bear aesthetic. The full team numbers six: the two co-founders, a marketing lead, a game advisor, a moderator, and a community manager. The project maintains a presence on Discord and Twitter/X under @solanabeargang.

Security and Audits

No third-party smart contract audits are publicly documented in the project whitepaper or official materials. The $BERRY token operates as a standard Solana SPL token, and the missions and revenue-share mechanics run on the project own platform infrastructure. No on-chain programs appear in the Solana Compass program registry for this project.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Solana Bear Gang occupies the utility NFT niche that gained traction on Solana from 2022 onward — collections that treat the NFT as an access key to ongoing economic activity rather than a static collectible. Its design choices reflect deliberate holder-incentive alignment: low royalties to sustain trading liquidity, deflationary token mechanics tied to cumulative distribution milestones, bear rarity affecting staking yield, and direct SOL payouts from an independent gaming platform. The layered architecture — Gen 1 bears plus Den housing NFTs plus Rumble Racers — places SBG among the more structurally complex small-cap NFT projects in the Solana ecosystem, targeting holders who want active participation rather than passive holding.
