On-chain activity
Ownbit Wallet
Ownbit Wallet is a mobile wallet application that provides multi-signature security and offline storage for managing digital assets across multiple blockchains.
Ownbit
Ownbit is a non-custodial mobile wallet that combines cold storage with on-chain multi-signature governance, letting individuals, families, and teams secure crypto assets without dedicated hardware. Developed by Singapore-based BITTOOL PTE. LTD. and operational since 2017, the app supports Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, BNB Smart Chain, and more than a dozen additional blockchains, plus 500-plus tokens.
The Problem It Solves
Most self-custody solutions force a tradeoff: simple hot wallets are convenient but vulnerable, while hardware wallets add cost and friction. Ownbit sits between these extremes by turning any spare smartphone into an air-gapped signing device and enforcing multi-party approval entirely on-chain, with no proprietary hardware purchase and no third-party custody.
How It Works
Ownbit offers three wallet modes:
Hot Wallet stores mnemonics and private keys encrypted locally on the device. Keys are never uploaded to a server.
Cold Wallet pairs an online "Watch Wallet" with an offline signing phone. The online device monitors balances and constructs transactions; the offline device signs via QR code. The signed transaction QR is scanned back by the online device for broadcast.
MultiSig Governance creates M-of-N approval schemes enforced on-chain. For Solana specifically, Ownbit deploys an on-chain multisig program; spending requires the configured threshold of independent signers to approve before any transaction executes.
All key generation follows BIP32, BIP39, and BIP44 standards.
Solana Integration
On Solana, Ownbit supports SOL and the full SPL token standard. The multisig program is on-chain, meaning the approval quorum is enforced by the Solana runtime rather than by Ownbit's backend.
Key Features
- Hardware-free cold storage — any spare Android or iOS phone becomes an air-gapped signer via QR codes.
- On-chain MultiSig — true multi-party enforcement on Solana (on-chain program), Ethereum (published Solidity contracts), and other supported chains.
- Inheritance planning — flexible threshold configurations let users designate heirs with independent key access without sharing the primary seed phrase.
- Team treasury controls — role-based approval policies and spending thresholds.
- Privacy by design — no data collection, no account registration, no cloud key storage.
Membership Tiers
- Level 1 ($69/year): three wallets, 2-of-2 MultiSig
- Level 2 ($239/year): five wallets, x-of-3 MultiSig for families
- Level 3 ($599/year): unlimited wallets, enterprise governance, inheritable addresses
A seven-day free trial is available. The app requires iOS 13 or later or a compatible Android device.
Company
Ownbit is operated by BITTOOL PTE. LTD., Singapore. The development organization on GitHub (github.com/bitbill) maintains open-source cryptographic libraries across supported chains. BITTOOL claims zero security incidents since the wallet launched in 2017. The app was last updated in August 2026 (version 4.66.2).
Ecosystem Fit
Within the Solana ecosystem, Ownbit addresses a segment underserved by browser-extension hot wallets: users who require multi-party signing for team treasuries, long-term cold storage, or cross-chain portfolios managed from a single interface. Its mobile-first, hardware-free cold wallet model differentiates it from hardware-dependent solutions and Solana-native wallets that do not offer on-chain multisig governance.
