Meme Kart

Meme Kart was a play-to-earn kart racing game on Solana, founded in April 2025. Players were to race as meme coin mascots such as Doge, Pepe, Shiba Inu and Wojak, and earn a planned KART token and NFT prizes. As of October 2026 the project appears defunct. Its website, memekart.app, no longer resolves, and its X account has posted nothing in at least the last 80 days. We found no shutdown notice and no sign that the KART token ever launched.

This page records what Meme Kart set out to be. It also warns about a newer token that uses the same name.

Is Meme Kart still active?

No, as far as we can tell. We checked again on 21 October 2026.

• Website: memekart.app returns NXDOMAIN, meaning the domain no longer points anywhere. That usually means it has lapsed. It is not a temporary outage or a block.
• X: the official account, @KartMeme_solana, shows no posts in the last 80 days or more.
• News: web searches turn up no announcements, releases or community updates since our last check in August 2026.

Nobody has said the project is closed. But with no site, no posts and no token, treat it as abandoned until the team shows otherwise.

How the Meme Kart game was meant to work

Meme Kart was an arcade kart racer where you would own your items on the blockchain. The website promised power-ups, drifting and multiplayer races. You could upgrade your kart with NFTs, bought or won in the game. Wins, challenges and tournaments would pay out KART tokens and NFT prizes. Each season would end with a championship, with prize pools and rare items for the best players.

Every in-game item was to be a Solana NFT: kart skins, character looks and other cosmetics. The site said this would prove that players owned them. The project never listed any on-chain program addresses, so there is nothing to check on an explorer.

Meme Kart KART token: did it launch?

KART was meant to be the game's money. Players would win it in races, then spend it on upgrades or trade it. We found no sign that the team ever launched it. The project never published a token address.

Beware the MEMEKART token on Pump.fun

A token called "MEME Kart" (ticker MEMEKART, address ARna9RKbYwnmZkwwtJ7EqE2CNAi1Rzt3RiGte6t6pump) was made on Pump.fun on 26 September 2026, long after Meme Kart went quiet. Its Jupiter listing links to a different site, solkart64.fun. It is not verified and had one holder when we looked. Nothing ties it to the game. Yet some search summaries already call it Meme Kart's token. That is how buyers get fooled.

Who was Meme Kart for?

Meme Kart was aimed at Solana's meme coin crowd. These were players who knew the mascots and wanted a casual browser racer that paid in tokens. Today it suits no one as a game, because there is nothing to play. This page is most useful if you hold a Meme Kart NFT or want to check a token that claims a link to the game.

Meme Kart risks

• The project is gone. With the domain lapsed and the team silent, any rewards, items or roadmap promises are unlikely to be honoured.
• Copycat tokens. Abandoned names attract new tokens that borrow them. The MEMEKART token above is one example. Never buy a "Meme Kart" token unless the project itself published the address, and it has published none.
• No audit. We found no third-party audit of any Meme Kart contract or program.
• Anonymous team. The project published no team page, named founders or backers, so there is no one accountable if something goes wrong.

Meme Kart alternatives

If you want to play games on Solana, pick ones that are still being built. Our play-to-earn games list and gaming NFTs list show what is live. Before you buy any game token, check two things. Does the team still post? And has it published its own token address?

Meme Kart background

Meme Kart appeared in April 2025, at the peak of Solana's meme coin craze. Many teams then tried to turn meme coins into games. Meme Kart never named its team. We could not confirm earlier reports that it entered a hackathon. It seems never to have got past the early stage before its website went dark.
