Meme Kart was a Web3 kart racing game built on Solana that launched in April 2025. Players selected from a roster of iconic internet meme characters — Doge, Pepe, Shiba Inu, Wojak, and others — and competed in real-time races across themed tracks. The project positioned itself as a play-to-earn gaming experience on Solana, using the chain's speed and low transaction fees to support in-game asset ownership and reward distribution.

Game Mechanics

The core loop combined arcade-style kart racing with blockchain asset ownership. Races featured power-ups, drifting, and competitive multiplayer modes. Players could customize their karts with NFT upgrades purchased or earned in-game. Winning races, completing challenges, and placing in tournaments earned players $KART tokens and NFT rewards.
