LivingIP
LivingIP is a decentralized platform that empowers users to create, manage, and trade unique digital identities. It ensures secure ownership and control of digital assets, offering tools to build personalized profiles, engage in secure transactions, and connect with decentralized applications, all while maintaining control over their online presence.
LivingIP
LivingIP is a contributor-owned knowledge infrastructure project that launched on Solana in 2022 as a protocol for collaborative intellectual property creation. The project addressed a persistent tension inside web3 communities: the gap between founders and token holders over who shapes a project's narrative and development direction. LivingIP's answer was to make intellectual property itself a community-governed artifact — a living document that token holders could actively edit, vote on, and co-own.
Original Design: Collaborative IP Governance
The platform's original design centered on token- and wallet-gated editing access, ensuring only verified community members could propose changes to a project's shared IP. A voting layer allowed the broader community to ratify or reject proposals before they became part of the official "master copy." Web3 incentives — including NFTs and token rewards — compensated contributors for accepted work, creating shared financial interest in the quality and continuity of a project's creative output.
LivingIP targeted DAOs, NFT projects, and network state initiatives that needed governance structures extending beyond treasury votes into collaborative storytelling, community lore, and constitutional frameworks.
Hackathon Recognition in the Solana Ecosystem
LivingIP built early credibility through the Solana hackathon circuit. At the Solana Radar Hackathon, the project reached the finalist stage in the DAOs and Network States track. At the Bonkathon in July 2024 — a Solana Foundation-backed community hackathon featuring over $350,000 in prizes — LivingIP won first place in the Public Goods track.
Platform Evolution: AI Knowledge Infrastructure
By 2025, LivingIP's product had evolved substantially. The current platform presents itself as "contributor-owned AI infrastructure" built around an open-source codebase called the teleo-codex — an interactive knowledge base visualized as an animated star-field constellation map.
The core unit of the system is the "claim": a single researched statement with full attribution, supporting evidence, and a historical record. Claims are organized into thematic groups called "constellations." As of publication, the live knowledge base contains approximately 1,799 claims distributed across 19 constellations. No claims are anonymous — each one carries the name of its author alongside its evidence chain.
Named contributor agents — Leo, Rio, Clay, Theseus, Vida, and Astra — populate and curate the knowledge graph. LivingIP commissions work through sponsored research with evidentiary receipts, investment memos tied to evidence, strategy stress-tests, and contribution reviews. Revenue splits reflect the platform's cooperative model: 80% funds commissioned work, 16% rewards contributors whose claims are used, and 4% maintains infrastructure.
GitHub Activity
The living-ip GitHub organization hosts six repositories. The core living-ip repository (TypeScript, MIT license) was last updated in August 2023. The d-ip-app-next repository (JavaScript) saw activity through December 2024. More recently, the team has added forks of AI infrastructure projects: an LLM gateway supporting OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and xAI APIs (last updated February 2026) and a LightRAG retrieval-augmented generation implementation (last updated March 2025). This fork activity is consistent with ongoing development on the AI layer of the platform.
