Famous Foxes
Famous Fox Federation (FFF) is a Solana-native NFT project and decentralized application ecosystem that launched in September 2021 and has grown from a profile-picture (PFP) collection into one of the most utility-rich communities on Solana. Built around a family of four NFT collections and a native utility token, FFF has deployed more than 26 onchain and off-chain tools -- covering peer-to-peer trading, gamified staking, NFT-Fi lending, on-chain gaming, and token management -- making it a broader infrastructure hub for the Solana NFT ecosystem.
What It Is and the Problem It Solves
When FFF launched, the dominant value proposition of most Solana NFT projects was speculative: buy, hold, and flip. FFF set out to give holders something productive to do with their assets beyond waiting for floor price movement. The project built its own peer-to-peer trading infrastructure, deployed a native borrowing-and-lending protocol for NFT collateral, and pioneered what the team described as the first legally-compliant NFT staking platform on Solana. The resulting ecosystem derives sustainable revenue from product transaction fees rather than from mint events alone, and treats NFT ownership as an access credential to a growing suite of onchain services.
The Collections
The Foxosphere spans four NFT collections:
Famous Foxes is the genesis collection of 7,777 2D fox art pieces, generated from over one million trait combinations, minted on September 30, 2021. The project was originally planned for Ethereum but the founding team pivoted to Solana to take advantage of lower transaction costs and faster finality.
Transdimensional Famous Foxes (TFF) is a second-generation pixelated collection, also 7,777 in supply, airdropped to early supporters on October 18, 2021, with 800 remaining pieces minted at 0.5 SOL.
Famous Fox Dens is a 3,000-piece collection representing ownership keys to customizable virtual rooms (Dens), airdropped on December 18, 2021 and mintable with FOXY tokens.
Famous Fox Friends & Foes consists of 1/1 artworks auctioned for FOXY, adding a premium collectible tier to the ecosystem. Holders of Friends & Foes also earn daily FOXY staking rewards.
The FOXY Token
FOXY is the native utility token underpinning FFF's ecosystem economy. Holders earn FOXY by staking their NFTs: Famous Foxes and Famous Fox Friends & Foes generate 100 FOXY per day; Transdimensional Foxes generate 25 FOXY per day. The minimum staking period is three days with no maximum. The initial supply was set at 69.42 billion tokens, and tokens spent on ecosystem features are burned, introducing deflationary pressure over time.
FOXY's utility covers raffle entry, NFT auctions, Den minting, and access to premium ecosystem features. The team developed the staking implementation to meet legal compliance requirements while delivering meaningful yield to holders -- a design decision that distinguished FFF from projects running informal staking programs.
Core Products
FFF has shipped more than 26 tools and utilities. The primary ones include:
Missions is a gamified staking mode running 6-day cycles. Holders stake specific trait combinations to complete missions, earning experience points, treasure chests with randomized rewards, and higher FOXY returns than basic staking. The system incentivizes holding across multiple collections and engages holders beyond passive accumulation.
FoxySwap is a peer-to-peer NFT trading platform allowing users to swap NFTs directly without a traditional marketplace order book. This reduces counterparty risk on large trades and enables multi-asset exchanges that standard listings cannot accommodate.
Token Marketplace is a peer-to-peer platform for Solana ecosystem tokens, allowing direct token swaps between wallets with no intermediary.
Citrus is FFF's NFT borrowing and lending platform, operating as a peer-to-peer NFT-Fi protocol. Holders can collateralize their NFTs to access liquidity without selling their assets. This is the project's entry into decentralized finance, allowing NFT holders to borrow against floor value while retaining ownership of their collection positions.
FoxyLend is an additional NFT lending tool within the FFF ecosystem. Both Citrus and FoxyLend reflect the project's broader strategy of turning illiquid NFT assets into productive collateral.
RaFFFle is a custom raffle platform where tickets start at 0.01 SOL, giving holders a low-barrier way to enter prize draws using FOXY or SOL.
Fortuna and FFFlip are on-chain gaming products offering provably fair games of chance, including a coin-flip game, funded by and paying out in ecosystem tokens.
Additional tools include a token management dashboard, NFT messaging, a Chrome extension, bulk sweep tools, GIF and banner makers, a wallpaper builder, and content creation features. The breadth of tooling reflects the team's strategy of keeping holders engaged within the FFF ecosystem for functions they would otherwise handle across multiple separate platforms.
During 2023, this product suite was reported to generate between $30,000 and $80,000 in weekly revenue from ecosystem transaction fees, demonstrating a business model not solely dependent on NFT secondary royalties.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
FFF's product decisions leverage Solana's specific technical characteristics: transaction finality under two seconds and fees below $0.001 per transaction. These properties make microeconomic use cases practical -- entering a raffle with 0.01 SOL, executing a peer-to-peer token swap, staking an NFT to earn daily token rewards -- that would be cost-prohibitive on higher-fee networks. The project positions itself not only as an NFT collection but as a liquidity and utility layer for the broader Solana NFT ecosystem, serving holders from other collections through its open tools.
FFF NFTs continue to trade on major Solana marketplaces including Magic Eden, with active sales recorded in mid-2026.
Team and History
FFF was cofounded by DraxxTs and built primarily by FoxyDev (lead developer), with a supporting team of front-end developers, designers, and community moderators. The project launched on Solana on September 30, 2021 and has maintained continuous development and community engagement since. The community has donated more than $125,000 to charitable causes voted on by token holders, including the Wolf Conservation Center, Action Against Hunger, Save the Children, and the Wildlife Conservation Society -- a governance mechanic that gives holders direct influence over the project's philanthropic spending.
